zelenskyy better move faster, he's not going to have a country left. >> wrong direction indeed, earlier in the day the post over on truth social, the president describes zelenskyy as a quote, modestly successful comedian. who managed to talk to u.s. and spent $350 billion to go into a war that could not have been one. >> president donald trump: every cities being demolished, it looks like a demolition site. every single one of them. the only thing he was really good i was playing joe biden like a fiddle. >> now for his part mr. zelenskyy said today wife he has great respect for the american people and their support, and for the president himself, he said the commander and chief lives in a quote, disinformation space. about which the vice president j.d. vance told the daily mail, bad mouthing the president in public media is an atrocious way

term. obviously he has what he called the perfect phone call and there was questions of corruption at boomerang back into an impeachment here. zelenskyy was in pennsylvania during the election time, with the governor there, pretty clear about being for president trump's opponents in the election. there was no love lost but i think the bigger picture is, the president always disrupts the information environment to push negotiation forward. this is a three year war, we don't have good options because of what has come before. so, he has to shake things up in our good friend keith is there in ukraine today, meeting with more people tomorrow and so whether zelenskyy is at the table, this is really round one of a multi-round drama that is going to play out. >> trace: you mentioned general kellogg. >> i don't believe we should try
8:06 pm
and push elections on a zelenskyy, and during the middle of the war, if there is a peace agreement i think zelenskyy and others in the people themselves will demand an election. it would likely take place assuming the peace agreement has some real legs to it. >> trace: it seems like people believe it does have some legs, do you believe that this peace agreement is as close as we have been in three years? >> it's close at least in the initial requirement the president had which was stop the killing. he basically had campaigned on them making a clear that he wants the killing to stop and then you worry about how do you define and hold boundaries? obviously it's going to be extremely difficult to imagine ukraine going back to those pre2015 boundaries. that seems to be out of the cards bow where will they be and how will it be held? vladimir putin is put forward his requirements but that's an opening salvo but clearly once

the killing is stopped and peace is somewhat held in place of course they do need to address the political situation. you cannot have a president for life and we do need some accountability where all this money has gone. >> trace: good analysis, great to have you on the show thank you. >> i think they are good men and i think they want the same thing. >> 1 million people have died and thankfully we have a president with the guts to stand up on the world stage and try to end this thing. that is what i support. >> all those voices will quiet down when we get to that cease-fire and a broader deal. >> trace: plenty of optimism among republicans in washington at the president will get a rush of ukraine deal done despite the latest dustup let's bring in conservative commentator alicia

and california g.o.p. chairwoman jessica, thank you both for coming on. is trump trying to offend zelenskyy or is he trying to work a peace deal in his way? >> i really hope that behind the scenes he's using this as a tactic to work a peace deal because when he first said that he was an unelected dictator i said, you must be talking about vladimir putin and then know, it turns out he was talking about ukraine's leader. i get that there is no lovelock there but i think that if you are looking at which side is the lesser of two evils, i don't inc. american -- i don't want american troops there. i think that it is a fair for us to come to the table and bring everyone to the table to make sure that vladimir putin does not get his way which is more of ukraine, let's not forget how he edged into crimea under the obama administration. he is going to keep doing this as long as he can get away with it and we have to put a stop to it. >> trace: i want to put the

he wants to do things, like crazy things, balance the budget, save americans money. this is fantastic news for americans and the best part about it is, the democrats trying to attack the transparency and getting rid of the waste, fraud, and abuse. how can you even stand on that side and assayed this is about thing? >> trace: they have not come up with a strategy. >> when you hear the obama team talking about wanting to do it to, it's pretty fantastic for republicans right now. >> trace: "the wall street journal" editorial writing the following, the judge may take judicial notice on news article from their existence but not for the truth of the statement they are in. granting an immediate injunction based on hypothetical harm, would undermine the legal process, democrats hunting for constitutional price, showing evidence before they cried dictator. the judge, not a fan of trump we all know that. cannot just make accusations

the firing employees had affected safety? they responded by saying the dismissal of 300 staffers had a zero impact on safety. he is right. it's important to note that trump did not fire a single air traffic controller. at the same people who refused to blame biden for the chaotic and deadly withdrawal from afghanistan, cannot wait to blame trump for a plane crash in canada. had biden been in office for the toronto plane crash the left would blame climate change. common sense is convinced that democrats know nothing about airline safety, yet oddly, they do seem to specialize in it train wrecks. -- specialize in train wrecks. maybe the left should kind of check out what they are accusing

successful businessman in the world elon musk, is something that these ladies have somehow turned into a terror. the american people are excited about this, we deserve this frankly, government inefficiency has run rampant for far too long, it is daylight robbery across the entire federal government. now, it is finally getting a look at. at the end of the day i blame the media for a lot of this. journalism, reporters had become exceedingly lazy, they are not doing the research. they are putting out headlines that have no factual basis behind them. they are expecting the public to take it and run wild which is what a lot of people are doing. we live in a digital world today and the headlines lead the news. unfortunately they are full of lies. >> trace: meantime cnn numbers guy just delivered some bomber news for the democrats, watch this. >> donald trump and the republican party have changed

dramatic new video tonight of coast guard intercepting a smuggling boat full of mexican and chinese nationals 20 miles off the coast of southern california, live with more on the trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration. >> good evening, yes, they have had a lot of success this month, take a look at that video give members of the united states coast guard say they spotted a 30-foot vessel 20 miles off the point peninsula and san diego tuesday evening. the coast guard said quote 20 aliens claiming to be mexican and chinese nationalities were taken into custody and transfer to customs and border protection, they posted the video to x today also the federal government normally designates a group to use violence for political ends like isis as terrorist organizations but, the trump administration is expanding the groups who fall into this category as part of its major crackdown on cartels and a drug trafficking. the state department announced

8:32 pm
i think this is a clear signal by president trump and his team it's not going to be business as usual and again identifying these as terrorist organizations not only allows unique and different authorities that you would otherwise have, but it's a whole of government effort. is not just a law enforcement effort. is the intelligence community and others starting to get involved in this fight. it's exactly the right thing to do because of the human trafficking and illegal narcotics we have seen in all of these groups. really partaken typically over the past four years. and a growing and -- in the strength and power and trump said enough is enough. he is taking this unique action to do something different. >> trace: you talk about unique action and and i want to put a video of these are the drones we have been talking about. and you put these drones up. they are not weaponized, we should point that out, of this is kind of for surveillance mostly. but, you have the reaper drones

tonight, it reads, as follows quoting they had and interdicted 20 aliens aboard 30-foot vessel approximately 21 miles off of point loma, of course that is in the san diego area. we talk about mexican and chinese nationals aboard this boat, it's kind of an indication that it is difficult to cross the border. >> while it is difficult. a look at this is a route through san diego, and the pacific ocean which is a common one that we see a lot of smugglers in the coast guard's active, cdp, marine operations are very active in that area. it continues whether it's on land or in c but what we know is that the cartels and others are going to continue to push individuals out there unless they united states coast guard and other law enforcement continues to be active. they will under president trump and i think look, we are going to continue to try and find
