president were to send out and we don't know what the amount would be would come from cutting government spending whereas joe biden just mounted dollar upon dollar upon dollar and nothing was being cut periods trump on the right track with what doge is doing in terms of trying to cut waste, fraud, abuse and federal spending on what he believes wasteful projects, wasteful items in taking it back to the core what taxpayers really need the government to do? >> yeah, i mean, there is a whole bunch of stuff there. first of all, but is not clear what doge has saved the next fr and a few billion dollars. second of all, the main place they should be saving money is congress. they have the power of the person should be passing the law. finally, it is not just by thousand dollar checks president trump has been talking about all sorts of new tax cuts. you and i think tax cuts are great if you pay for them just as you said there. but it is not clear whether or

but stop short of dismissing the charges altogether. let's go to senior correspondent eric shawn. i'm not quite sure legally what this means that perhaps you do, eric. the case basically not dismissed. to the corruption trial of mayor eric adams not over yet. judge dale of the federal bench decided to postpone it for now. in his ruling for the judge wants to study the legal impact of dropping the case, whether it should be dropped with mayor adams facing the possibility of a trial in the future. with dismissing the case now is appropriate, atoms charged with bribery, fraud, foreign campaign contributions and the trump administration argues the case interferes with his role as a mayor in carrying out the white house tough immigration policy. critics have claimed the president and the mayor made a deal to drop the charges if adams carries out the administration's wishes. both have denied there was any such agreement. is part of her alluring, the

judge appointed this manner, paul clement who is a conservative u.s. attorney general during w bush's administration. he has tasked to argue against the trump doj decision. he will serve to give an independent argument of the merits of the effort to get the charges dropped. the controversy has prompted adam's fellow democrat new york kathy hochul to clamp down on the mayor's power at city hall. she has instituted oversight to ensure adams does not act on behalf of the president. she has the power to remove him from office, but she says that is premature. >> i have determined i will not commence removal proceedings at this time. my strong belief is that the will of the voters in the democratic elections preclude me from any other action. >> the next step will be arguments that were on the merits of the case set for next month.
