welcome. you heard elon musk e-mailing federal employees asking them to justify what they've done for the past week. he further clarified today saying the reason this matters is that a significant number of people who are supposed to be working for the government are doing so little work they are not checking e-mail at all. in some cases we believe nonexistent people with identities of dead people are being used. how do you respond? >> first of all, elon musk has been lying through his teeth to the american people time and time again, they claim to have identified some misspending area where the vast majority of ca cases, it's plain untrue. you saw him with the chainsaw what he's doing is trying to dismantle important services that benefit all the american people to make room for tax cuts for rich people and billionaires, people like elon musk.

it appears the pope is doing better today but obviously it's a roller coaster ride this weekend. >> the doctors have been clear his condition is critical. the reality is as we heard from many guests on this show, he is 88 years old, many underlying health complications so being realistic, we have to brace or a long recovery if he does recover. we will have to see. obviously as doctor siegel said to you, a combination of medical care but also the importance of prayer. >> from the new york times, many who have interviews francis driven by mission and discipline in his early training essentially worked himself into the hospital but his grueling schedule which would exhaust anyone let alone an 88-year-old with a series of health issues is his personality and his

vision, what about that? >> it is correct. we've seen from the beginning is been a workaholic. he was going during the summer, he does vacations to continue working. last year despite a host of medical problems, he undertook the longest trip flying all the way to southeast asia for 13 days. when he got back he looked more rested than any of the reporters trying to keep up with him. then he had a grueling fall of the schedule throughout october and then advent and christmas season so it is absolutely true he's committed to continuing this task he feels he's been given despite the price and now we are seeing some of the results of that.

in part, the last 24 hours with loss three of our greatest guardians of justice doing it unacceptable criminal acts of violence against law enforcement. the latest tragedy nearly 30 miles south in pennsylvania around 10:30 a.m. saturday. district attorney says suspect arch angel ortiz targeted the icu at the hospital after being there earlier this week but the motive is still unknown and the details are just disturbing. investigators say arch angel ortiz held hospital staff members as hostages and restrained one of them with a zip tie. the district attorney says during a news conference multiple police departments arrived on scene to defuse the situation but a shoot out eventually took place. the suspect was killed and three police officers were struck to include officer andrew duarte who was killed. according to his linkedin, he served with the west police

veterans suicide is heartbreaking. a wonderful cause called great teams providing parents with activities and therapies to help reduce risks. rating founder and u.s. army veteran carrie joins me now. welcome and thank you for your service both in uniform and what you are doing. it is great to see you. >> likewise and thank you for bringing awareness to what we are doing. >> tell us about your mission. >> great team and of involved out of necessity and when the suicide rate is pretty much out of control now, we decided to take a stand against it and create a program that addresses all the causes of suicide

amongst military getting rid of pain, emotional, physical, mental pain, spiritual and we have kind of come up with a game plan that pushes veterans to do a program is pretty much relate them to echo what you think are some of the keys to your success preventing suicide? >> probably the most important is we listen and we care. most of my staff have all served in the military. one of them gone through the program itself. we found they are incredible at relating to the causes anxiety, depression and so on and so forth. if we can stop that and it's tracks and elevates the issues, we can fix it.

it is unbelievable. probably close to 900 through the program since the inception of 2016 and we've never lost 12 suicide. >> what can our august do to help if they are inspired by what you are doing down there in florida? >> would love to have anyone to support this program is it's not covered, state or local so it is donation based. we can certainly go to the website which they can see on the screen at great team.org. we do to huge callous, one at malabo and december. >> god bless you and your team for the great work you are doing, great to have you on the show today. thank you so much.
