wrote it. american marxism is a book i wrote obviously but american marxism dressed up as some kind of progressive or modern ideology is not a product of the american experiment. it is a rejection of it. it is a rejection of judeo-christian values and principles. a rejection of jon locke and montesquieu the most important philosophers to inform the founders and the framers it is rejection of the declaration of independence. which was and is the most concise statement of america's birth and purpose a rejection of the american constitution which established a republican government. not eight centralized state nor a democracy both of which are preludes to tierney and the framers understood that. the ideology of which i speak soft characterizes progressivism and therefore camouflaged as human progress and advance is dark, inhumane, and regressive

in every respect. that is the modern democrat party the immediate academia. at its core it is the fanatical belief that there really is no individuality. there is no individuality but in fact, for an individual to become fully realized he must surrender himself to the greater good as defined by a relative few masterminds. indeed the individual can only be free and fulfilled by serving the collective and through this collective the so-called greater good. the so-called best interest of the larger community et cetera. in other is indivisible and invisible minuscule part of that figure indeed immense centralized design. now, for us nerds that's hegel, that's marks, that's woodrow wilson. and today virtually every political science department and america's colleges and

universities. that is how they view the world for starters. so, this requires the abandonment of so-called eternal truths the notion of natural law gun god given unalienable rights set forth in our declaration of independence for the abandonment of knowledge and science. there are not for example two and only two biological sexes. in fact requires the abandonment of god, of human experience in history, existing social bonds including t parents to children, values handed down from one generation to the next that keeps the civil society glued together. we must be cut off from the past. the past must be condemned and emigrated up or even language must a change. reeducation for primary schools to that media and the public square to reinforce this new w way. the reengineering of society and the culture and the individual and humanity itself. in support of the march toward e

centralized and governing ut utopia. the details of which are intangible and the achievement of which is impossible for it requires thought control, which in turn requires the condemning, the ridiculing the ostracizing even out long at times, reasoning, logic, debate, contrary views. academic freedom, freedom of speech and a true, a true free press. the institutions of the civilized society born from the enlightenment must not only be questioned but ultimately bulldozed. not all at once but gradually. because they do not want you to notice. and then it more aggressively they don't doesn't matter if you notice obviously this means our constitution built in barriers and firewalls checks and balances separation of powers between and among the national

government and state and local governments must be eradicated. this is precisely what is the so-called early progressive intellectuals the late 1800s and early 1900s including woodrow wilson would be a democrat president later. relentlessly and furiously attacked both the declaration and the constitution. especially separation of powers the talked about the need for a living and breathing constitution compared it to the human body. how he asked in a person a live if his organs are constantly working against each other rather than in harmony? wilson argued we are not bound by the decisions and doctrines of the past week need not adhere to them any more than the authors of the constitution we are bound by those who preceded them we are free to do as we wish just as they were. whitney not worship their words

served this and give it a pretext a legal justification and authority w witnesses will have a massive federal government hundreds of federal department and agencies multimillions of bureaucrats trillions in debt tens of thousands of regulations and so forth. you do not vote for any of this so-called representative government and congress don't have any idea what's going on they place in the executive branch the most powerful legislative body is not con congress, is not in the legislative address is not in the constitution is not in the constitution this is what has happened. faith and family including parental control are under constant attack.

this is white free speech a true free press real learning and academic freedom are smothered by indoctrination and propaganda. and essentially no public schools run by two unions and two union bosses answerable to the democrat party. this is why our societal norms traditions and customs actual knowledge, actual science are being systematically suppressed and demonized. constantly under attack we must break. we must break from what is. we must break from our history. we must break from our families, from our faith in order to focus on, rely on have desperate need for this massive centralized government and the masterminds who run it. importantly but on the democrat party run corporate media that run our colleges and

universities. do not care how much fraud waste and abuse in the federal government sh manage reduce and limit the power of the massive bureaucracy and its army of your they could care less they could seek to protected this is why judges are using position a lot constitution spurred by diabolical ways to undo the results of the november election. your landslide election. and indeed sabotage president trump, elon musk, those fighting to preserve this country. to recalibrate the balance of power in the separation of powers crucial to our liberty and civil society.

and breathe life back into our constitution and our republic. and as a side note george washington had a man serving at his side that is foreign born. he was french, his name is lafayette for at least for now donald trump is a man it is assigned to his ford board, he has done great things for the country at the direction of donald trump. he is called elon musk. the democrat party and express are and will fight to the bitter end to preserve what they have created over the decades. they have created this monstrosity they will scare longer, they will deceive, distort, have and will wave around inside the very constitution they abhor and have worked so hard to dismantle. they will use propaganda and their media platforms. not a real free press, propagandist for them to accuse those who are honoring, following reviving the constitution namely president

mark: will come back america. i love having my friend victor davis hanson on the program. hoover institution senior fellow you were not the first is not among the first scholars and intellectuals that set okay, hold on everybody i'm listening to trump. i am watching trump. this man is the real deal. it's very important to this country. you wrote an entire book on the subject. what did you see and what do you see today that underscores the early perspective on this? >> it sort of what you were just talking about, mark, in your monologue. we have had these iterations of

these revolutions a progressive revolutions freda wilson and then no reaction why the republicans in the 1920s went a little further left and we had at roosevelt. i could not stop it when i came in. that we had the great society and nixon could not solve it. all this out and there was a voice in the wilderness saying i am just not going to stop it. i'm going to turn it back. these people were cultural revolutionaries. they want to do everything in the military to politics, economics, social at the culture life with talking without much confidence you could stop this new deal, great society progressive title wave. he was the only person talking about it. everybody thought he was crazy. i thought wow, let's give him a chance to try. mark: what is remarkable about it is, this is a man who comes out of certainly not obscurity. it comes out of business, tremendous developer in new

have enough sense now and will be united in the house and senate to understand the rise or fall together? that they put their little points apart for now get these one or two bills through and that taxis and the agenda on the border and so forth and so on. and then say that bickering and the fighting for the following year? >> i hope so further either going to hang together or hang separately. they have got too. they got to realize what they're up against. they had a great press conference of trump administration when they had stephen miller and waltz out there and kevin really explaining how hard the task is, what they are doing. communication, communication, communication and tell the american people what we are doing is never been tried before. just have patience that it is going to work and i think they will be fine. if you have one or two grandstanding congressmen they can do a lot of damage and people are going to have to put pressure on them to hang

together. mark: i've got to be honest with you, victor, i am going to address this, if this happens again. they start peeling off and they undermine this agenda in the landslide election they handed a victory to these radical democrats, then it seems like it's not just up to the president but not to the people in congress but it's up to the rest of us but you, me, others to use our platforms use our rules that we had that god has given us to push back. because now is not the time for them to take charge. now is the time for the leaders. and it is time for congress to do its job and to carry its weight, do you agree? >> absolutely. you do not have to perfect to be good. this so-called perfection some of these people think they are going to maintain its not possible in this world. we have to be good enough to stop the revolution and they've got to get that message or we are not going to make it.

mark: welcome back america. we have with us rebeccah heinrichs of the hudson institute fellow and an expert on russia isn't it time in america we had a little bit of a discussion about putin and russia so that we know who this guy is? he is a bad bad dude. can you give us a thumbnail sketch, who is putin? >> well, thank you for having

become a market. he is a former kgb officer and he is a longtime anti- american, anti- western operative within the national security apparatus inside russia. he has said that gorbachev made a huge mistake in ending the cold war with ronald reagan the way the dissolution of the soviet union came to pass was a terrible mistake. and really, as he was been the wings of power of the federation ever since and is now back at the top, he continues to see the united states as his primary enemy. any ally of the united states as a proxy essentially of the united states and so that is really what we are witnessing when we see russian policy whether it is in the middle east, or europe or now is parting with shooting pain really, the goal is to harm, undermine a week in the united states. >> doesn't he spend what resources they have an enormous percentage of his defense budget

on cutting edge technology aimed at us? he wants t went to nuclear risee weapons. he has got hypersonic missiles. he has got advanced nuclear submarines and on and on and on. they are not aimed at ukraine they are aimed at the united states of america. >> that is right. when you think about the russian economy you still have a significant portion of the russian people who do not even have indoor plumbing. this is a country that still struggles economically. and yet you have extremely corrupt russian government really tells of vladimir putin personally he devotes the resources the country has into a massive military. something has wheels on it wings on he puts a nuke on it. he has leaned heavily on the russian nuclear force. specifically to deter, coerce and intimidate the knights' of america. that's reese devoting a significant amount of the russian people's resources. >> doesn't russia under him have more nuclear warheads than any

country including the united states? and aren't most of those nuclear missiles and at us? oxide is true. when you think about how is using them it's actually quite alarming. as the united states, really it since the cold war we have tried to move away from relying on her nuclear weapon so every president from george h.w. bush was thought to bring the theater nuclear weapons for the united states out of europe. and so we have tried to move away and have much better relations with the russia and to have a more stable relationship. thinking we could partner with the russians on some things. putin on the other hand has relied more on his nuclear weapons increase resources into the weapons and as you said there is concern in jake's soul been confirmed this congressman mike rogers brought to the attention of the american people the russians are working on a particular weapon system that should they deploy it would violate the outerspace treaty it prohibits nuclear weapons in outer space.

so the russians are increasingly applying military aircraft, ships near our shores. they are doing that while they are also doing things like arming hamas in supporting hamag hamas efforts in the middle east. increasingly collaborating with the ironic regime and as we well know this treaty essentially with the north koreans and increasingly collaborating with china as china rises and becomes more powerful to undermine the united states. mark: isn't russia behind most if not the most significant cyber attacks on our military, honor government and honor businesses? >> it is. something i think the media narrative gets wrong the trump administration and the first term took that threat seriously and impose significant sanctions against the russians in response to the massive cyber attacks. the trump administration also new to account for the russians you had to be tough with him. vladimir putin only understands

strength. he only understands economic punishment and the credible threat of a military force and punishment against the russians directly. which is why the russians were kept in check during the first trump administration's why the trump administration knew we had to be energy exporter as much as possible to drive down the russian war machine which is funded by russian energy. we had to get the europeans off outthere diction to russian roas why the trump administration imposed sanctions against the pipeline. all of that is because the russians use cyber attack. they coerced us by flying near our shores and as we discussed their investing a significant amount of resources into their nuclear weapons. when we come back rebeccah heinrichs wo what is this arctic circle stuff? the russians have 10 military bases they've either built or

mark: welcome back america. we are here with rebeccah heinrichs hudson keystone director. expert on russia and other things. so, rebeccah the russians and putin are making a huge presence in the arctic circle what is that all about? >> well, that's where there's a enormous amounts of natural resources, rare earth minerals and of course oil. that really is the next frontier. and so the russians have been militarizing this area. the chinese as well and as the russians and the chinese have typically been adversaries, but in their shared interest to undermine the united states and make sure the united states is no longer the preeminent military force the preeminent economic force which of course means we can move in the world

on terms most favorable to the american people. they do not want that. they want to be the countries that have us under their thumb. they understand that they need to have the most access into this particular region of the world and so they are seeking to militarize it to push the united states out. mark: what you say to people, it drives me crazy, to see all of these aggressive and offensive moves by putin, all of these militaristic actions by putin. all of these efforts to expand russian geographically by conquering neighbors and so forth that is our fault that is america's fault because they feel surround he's surrounded by these democracies so is getting very concerned he's very upset about it. so we are the imperialists we are the colonials and we are just upsetting this poor guy who looks at russian history and feels he is a put upon by the united states. what you say to these people? >> this is jeanne kirkpatrick said those were the blame america always blaming america first for everything that the

united states has to endure in the world. it is just historically inaccurate. united states has always been or has long been a power that is reluctant to go to war. certainly the american people do not want to go to war. we'd like to trade, like our freedom and prosperity pretty want to take care of our own families we like to see other countries have their own freedom and prosperity and live in a democratic society. but, we really kind of want to mind our own business. with the united states has sought to do with russia since the end of the cold war is again and again try to live in a partnership in some sense. he saw this in the security documents i was a young congressional staff are working for a republican member of congress when bush 43 thought he could have some kind of partnership with putin. and we could collaborate in some ways and that we had the infamous obama administration with the goofy ridiculous expression on hilary clinton's

face hitting the red reset button. then you had skipping over trump for a moment, you had the biden administration which really verbally, rhetorically likes to talk tough. they like to poke the bear but were never loaded for bear. they like to talk tough but they were never very serious about truly countering russia. on ways to acclimate to the russians always looking for a reset. it was the weakness and the indecision and risk aversion that tempted the russians. the thought okay during the biden administration these people are weak and indecisive. and now i can make my move against europe and we are going to start with ukraine. and so it is the opposite of blame america first peoples and narrative it's been american weakness and inattention to matters with the russians have made their move. >> are we supposed to ignore them man rights or signs that other people write for him, putin what he says question
