because of the increase blood flow to skin and more flexibility because the natural heat makes you more flexible. studies have shown that you can actually increase your bone density by doing some hot yoga for women who are perry menopausal in connection withing bone density is crucial for us and also it is a big socialization thing. now i want to say in addition to physical health it is very good for mental health, in fact, after the birth of my third son i had post-partum depression and i can tell you i did hot yoga and it got me back in good physical shape but it got me in good mental shape as well because you're around other people relaxing increase your blood flow to your brain. i combine national herbs about that and really good for me and that being said there are potential risks when it comes to hot yoga so we have to look at those carefully. that heat just like anybody else you can get heat exhaustion. you are an increase risk for dehydration, and because you're more flexible you might be moving your body a little bit

[laughter] the other thing is this mediterranean diet it is giving armor to fight risk of cancer. >> that's right peter so first of all people say they go on diets because they're trying to lose weight. but we need to really change our mind set we shouldn't be consuming food going on certain diets becausewet to maybe go down a size in our pangt size but we should be focusing on
5:56 am
nutrients in our body when it comes to the mediterranean diet omega and vegetables we see all over the blue zone throughout the world where preem living longer and healthier they're following the mediterranean diet and if you eat those rich in the omega low in fats, low in the carbohydrates it can be associated with a decrease risk of cancer. now, i can tell you peter, you know, that research is kind of mixed there. you can show you a study where there's no effect one that there is an effect but bottom line these are all very, very healthy for you we showed some of my favorite things. when you're consuming food you want to be putting stuff in your body that is knew treshes for you that's going to keep you around healgt and happy for you and your family. and you shouldn't be just pouking on trying to lose weight because that's not all leaf is all about. >> see you next time. more "fox & friends" next. sore throat got your tongue?
