in this. he wants to be in the middle of two parties, he wants to broker peace. i don't think he will get trump to say he's on ukraine's side. we can wish that he were, but trump wants to get a deal and be the honest broker between the two parties. i think what zelenskyy has to do is explain he is open to peace. it is okay if he adds caveats, it needs to be durable peace and won't allow russia a window to rearm and reconstitute armed forces. i think there is a way back from last week a catastrophe if we can understand better about where trump is and about where zelenskyy wants to take the war. >> todd: where you say where zelenskyy is, follow-up what carley said. zelenskyy said he is ready to sign and that blow-up in the

white house, he just wanted ukraine position to be heard. when you hear that language coming from zelenskyy, does that sound like someone who realizes he made a big, bimistake? >> i don't think so. i being he needs to find dignified way to apologize or express regret he tried to debate everything during the course of the meeting. he needed to stay on message and say i'm excited about support we're getting from the united states and just stay with that. instead he tried to go point for point, counter point and that got him in trouble. you do that stuff behind closed door. everything is fine, just the way he said it in that setting irritated the trump administration. >> carley: latest on the war in gaza is that israel announced it

has accepted proposal by middle east envoy steve witkoff that would see halfful the 58 hostages still in gaza released on first day and give the two sides until april to come to final agreement. hamas has not agreed to that deal and israel says it is stopping aid. what happens next? >> hamas will have to decide if they want to continue to go forward. if they continue to delay moving forward with hostages swaps, i think you will see israel go back into gaza and declare war against on hamas. hamas feels if they give away more hostages, they have lost their leverage and this is a bit of a dilemma here. how does israel move forward and how does hamas decide what their best interests are if they don't have a real break on the ability

put out the fires. >> oh,y yeah, almost every member of our agency all hands on deck all weekend. it was bad in eastern part of our state in myrtle beach, the biggest active fire. >> carley: were any lives losto structures burned down? >> no, that is the miracle here, no lives lost, no structures lost. in a wildfire preserve surrendered by urban development and residential, amazing we have been this fortunate. >> carley: i know there has been dry and windy conditions, has there been a cause? there is an investigation who sparked it or what sparked it, any news on that front? >> no word on the cause of the fire, the response is fighting

subsequent from there. these are putting people in danger and if you are doing something with intention to obstruct or impede investigation that is obstruction of justice and you could be prosecuted for it. >> house oversight committee will have a hearing and mayor of sanct sanctuary cities will testify. it is going to be a public dressing down. how important and significant do you think this hearing could be and will anything change as a result of this? >> this is extremely important for one reason, public need to know what sanctuary cities are doing and whole purpose of them is not to keep kids from being deported, it is to get people in jail to remain in their communities. it is astonishing that it persisted so long. they are preventing ice because

they want to encourage more illegal aliens and keep existing illegal aliens in their community. these mayors are walking a fine line and been doing this a long time. there is offense under federal law called harboring, if you are doing anything to conceal or shield an illegal alien or encourage somebody to reside here illegally, that is federal offense called harboring and actions of these mayors are walking a close line on that. interesting how they answer. will they admit purpose of our policy is to keep illegal aliens in this community? that is a problem. you will see false testimony which will say they are doing it to not scare the immigrant community. they are doing it precisely to keep criminals in the community.
