needs to address as well is the tariffs. they went into effect six hours and seven minutes ago. wall street thought this was going to be another one of those head fakes. he is threatening to have them go into effect. they are never going to happen. as it turns out, he made it very clear in that availability from the roosevelt room yesterday that they were going to go into effect last night. that's why the market sold off # hundred points. what he needs to do tonight is explain to the people who are worried. people are finance fixed income and people who have money in the stock market and with the 4 401(k) contactually what he is trying to do and why they should not be worried. >> lawrence: yeah. the big story today is also the president yesterday, after zelenskyy released another x post and a video. it upset the president, i think it was predictable. he is halting all u.s. aid to ukraine until he says zelenskyy is ready to make a deal.

in public for the american feel see. i think there was a certain sense of there was a lack of respect there was a certain sense of entitlement. most importantly, look, we can look past all that stuff, but the president has set a very clear goal for his administration, he wants the killing to stop. i think that it's very important that president zelenskyy, and, of course, president putin, too, they have both got to come to the negotiating table and that's ultimately where things broke apart. >> lawrence: so, brian, what is he doing? >> brian: what do you mean? what is the president doing? >> lawrence: what is zelenskyy doing right now. >> brian: number one what the vice president says and to go over what he just said, when the vice president said that, is he just try -- zelenskyy's point was vladimir putin does the killing. vladimir putin did the invading. vladimir putin has been killing since 2014. in 1 # 7 we were promised security while he was still acting on the stage somewhere. and he was elected to bring peace to vladimir putin. you talk to vladimir putin,

every single time, 25 times. he has lied to him in the past. that was his point. if you watch that 50 minutes. the first 40 minutes were perfect. in fact, they were getting along great. i don't know why it went on so long. when that polish reporter asked the question, it seemed to set off zelenskyy who then in comes the vice president. so, they both should keep the big picture in mind number one if the president wants negotiation he shouldn't do russia a favor and cut off aid for ukraine. he did russia a huge advantage. what is russia's to get to the table. zelenskyy, he should say this is a great deal. how did it get off the rails? i should put my pride aside. pick up the phone before the speech and say, mr. president, let's work this out. you do the mineral deal. we are talking about the 30,000 troops from france and england and maybe another country.

development. you know a lot about this. what do you make of the shop classes coming back to these high schools, for instance, middleton high school in madison, wisconsin, they just spent $900 million to include tech facilities and a fourth of those student have taken one of those classes i celebrate this survival in career and technical education. especially because this is not your grandfather's shop class. they are not building bird houses. in that particular high school fish bowl environment where other schools can see they are using robotics and ai to implement the trades now in a very new and engage way for students. the college for all has failed us. the pendulum is swinging the other way. students are much more interested in the trades because they are giving high paying jobs, due to the critical shortage of workers in those fields. it's increasing salaries and they can use their skills right away when they get out of high school and start off on a career without the college debt that none of them are looking for right now. >> ainsley: so 30% of patients say that kids under the age of

9, erika use for learning. i was shocked by this statistic. what does this mean for america's future in the trade industries? will we have a shortage. >> currently we need about 439,000 workers just in construction alone in 2025. we do have an issue here in the united states, achieving those workers. however, i do see ai and robotics and other technologies increasing efficiencies so that we reduce the number of workers that we actually need. i think it's great that students are learning at early age how to use technology appropriately. we want wise use of technology in our classroom so that students are prepared to take on the jobs of tomorrow. by 2031. only about half, less than half, in fact, of jobs are going to require a college degree. how are we going to prepare these students to take on the responsibilities of our economy and growing economy thanks to president trump. if we're not teaching about
