[cheering and applause] >> bill: now president trump are vowing to transgender ideology away from young children. just as news research increased mental risk health gendered region may carry. alexandria hoff is looking into that. those results pick what did you find out? >> reporter: and morning you. this is pretty money mental study just because of the size and scope. it looked at 100,000 patients dealing with gender dysphoria. feeling like they were born in the wrong body, so to speak. they looked at them over ten years, and researchers than separated the individuals by those who went on to have gender affirming surgery, of those who did not pick the results published through the oxford journal of mexico -- sexual medicine undergoing surgery were at significantly higher risk for

depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorders than those without surgery. bringing on the numbers cattone 5.4% of those males in that study who had the surgery, they expanse to depression compared to 11.5% who did not have the surgery. similar results were found in females. dr. kirk miceli, medical director at do no harm, weighed in on this. >> right now we have a pretty solid piece of data that really supports the unfortunate mental health outcomes that are worse after sex change interventions, versus those who did not take them. >> reporter: interestingly the study hasn't gained a whole lot of mainstream attention so far. trans advocates have argued the study was flawed. they say those experiencing the most gender dysphoria would be the ones most aggressively seeking out surgery. if you look at the numbers, gender affirming surgeries have nearly tripled since 2016 pick of course president trump signed an executive order to end federal support for gender transitions for those under 19 years old, and added this last

i look at brandon johnson and i look at some of the crime issues and challenges they are facing. these are once great cities. they should be great cities, but they can't be if they have incompetent people spending taxpayer dollars on absolute nonsense. which is not only counterintuitive, it is also frankly quite dangerous. if they feel they can exist without federal funding, that's fine. you can be a sanctuary city. but if you need federal dollars, and you've got people who are raping children that you are letting out on the street. >> bill: one of the cases. >> it makes you a bad person. >> bill: do the people of boston support the mayor's position? >> i think it's getting trickier and trickier for her. she is running for mayor against a moderate. we will see soon if they support it are the $650,000 speech here. you saw this past presidential election, president trump do better in massachusetts than before. use are republicans pick up a seat, witches -- doesn't sound like a lot but in massachusetts it is a big deal.
