was voted on it and it got approved. >> it got pulled out by the senate. we don't know why. we are introducing this and we have a bipartisan letter that went to president trump. we had 47 congressman sign on, including six senators, encouraging president trump to award this medal to this deserving warrior and now it's just a matter of congress passing legislation, which will waive the five year statute of limitations and we hope the president will acknowledge major capers. >> todd: i could talk to the major for hours but we only have a minute left. 47 members of congress like bull just mentioned want you to get this medal, at least they have written that down. i'm sure more people do. president 47 donald j. trump ultimately will make that decision. how do you think you will react if and when you get that call from the president? major? >> i'm sorry, i didn't hear you. >> todd: if and when you get that call from the president that you are receiving the medal of honor, what will your

reaction be? >> i will go to arlington and visit the warriors that didn't come home. i will visit my wife and my son. i was married for 50 years. i had a son. they are all gone now. so i will go and tell them the story and thank the men who died for our flag. i will go and do that. >> todd: that is what an american hero would do. that is what a father and a husband would do. there is no more deserving person that i have ever met and i know bull shares the same feeling. let's make this happen, america. major james capers and david your fine, thank you for your service and thank you for joining us here this morning thank you. >> appreciate it. something tells me is he going to get it "fox & friends" starts right now.
