i've seen this president and his administration with dogeaa elon musk are out there doing the job of pairing down the government we're not tboipg to spend recklessly anymore so i'm in favor of this. that could be very beneficial to the republicans for getting this passed. shannon: you're right people see there's something that's meeting their concerns, it may earn a vote to get you to where you need to be on the cr. listen you guys know with the majorities they have in the house and senate they cannot afford to lose much of anything basically one person in the house and that's it. so to hear those who have been skeptical come onboard and say all right i think you're serious about doing something we've heard them talking about balancing the budget how many year has it been sense that's been considered so maybe things will change in washington. it will take a lot of hard work but at least the conversation is there. >> i think strategically having you go away for a week is useful because if we haven't resolved this by the end of the next week we can all say you don't topght

by the way, the alien in further danger. >> yeah whole point of immigration law and criminalize aliens is to remove public safety threats. so if you have jurisdictions themselves deciding who they think should be removed, and from thing efforts of the federal government to remove public safety threats, by not honoring detainers then i.c.e. has to look for them in the community rather than pick them up in the safety of the jail. so as you pointed out that puts the i.c.e. officers at risk that puts the public at risk. and it puts aliens at risk and then it causes public safety threats to be left in the community. and by the way, it's obstructing justice. and it is harboring alien potentially. so it's a potentially federal crime. >> so, obviously, we have discovered -- hear a lot of talk right now about the renewed effort to

actually start enforcing federal laws and round up some of these criminal aliens and have them deported. from your vantage point have you seen any evidence that that is beginning to take hold that that's -- starting to work even in a place like california? >> oh, yeah. you know, i get calls from look -- we see that i.c.e. is out there arresting people. but we also hear that the law is having effect it's supposed to have and it's serving as a deterrent. people are concerned that i.c.e. is going to come out to arrest them because they've broken the law and that's one of the tongues of law. to deter illegal behavior right. if people leaving the country voluntarily, and certainly they're going into hiding which is not a good thing. but the point is -- >> at least they know they're -- charlie: at least they know

>> you say that everyone goes through a struggle of some sorts do you think you can grow stronger through struggling. >> absolutely to see your positivity after what you've experienced is incredible so encouraging inspiring you know my dad suffered very much. my mom suffered a lot. i've lost two sisters. dealt with a lot of loss in my life. but that gives me hope -- you know, that there's a better place and that the suffering is not for nothing. >> yeah. you talk about your family and wonder how you talk about your faith with your children and you said before you're not forcing them to be religious or pray you do you want to inspire them to be religious without making them do it? >> i think by being an example. i think by just living it every single day and they know that no matter what i'm starting on my hands and knees and i'll make it to mass on saturday or sunday and that's just that's the most important part of my life. and that is allowed me the ability to be there for them in every capacity.

but you know, hopefully just being an example they're going to gravitate towards it because they see how much it works for me. >> like you've been given an opportunity to pox on this and to spread his word. >> i would say there's nothing other than a humble servant to god and i was put in the position for a reason and not to forget what other people are going through it is to kind of share that with others. you know, but just a very humble servant in the sign of the cross on my forehead is the sign of a sign of humility and reminder that we are dust -- and to dust we shall return. but through god all things are possible. >> you know people's relationship with religions often comes and goes. you know personally i was raised a strict catholic but then you lose that sometimes you get distracted like you're talking about earlier but back on again. i wonder if you've had those experiences where you slip away and don't pay attention to your faith and come back and that's what it is a journey.

>> it is life is a very long journey but i encourage people to do it same thing with their faith -- with their fitness -- and focusing on their family. encouraging young people to help them avoid making the mistakes that i made and other people make. because you know, with god in your life every day, it allows you to be in a position where you can make the right choices. >> when it comes to the work what role does your faith have in picking, you know, the parts you're going pick or movies you're going knack must now be a priority. >> i've joked when i meant holy father i joked that i hope god is a movie fan because i've made movies that are deemed inappropriate. but you know, as an artist toapt try to do things that are more challenging but as a man of god it is my responsibility even in making movies to continue to promote the message that i was was -- you know, basically chosen to

like daylight savings time we know that we lose sleep. you see an increase in visits to the emergency room, there are more accidents traditionally when we lose the hour of sleep and everybody saying how can i get more rest? how do they sleep better during this time of year? >> well we should have talked about this yesterday because one of the biggest things you can do is try to go to sleep earlier the day before daylight savings time. the reality is, our body, our brain and body they're creatures of habit when we change things whether we stay up late at night it slows our body into a state of pan exobest thing you can do when you wake up show your eyes, brain that it is daylight. so open your windows make sure you're getting light on your face i look to do workouts early in the morning start out my day throughout the day you want to get some sun exposure it is great for your regulatory system also great for your vitamin d and in the evening you have to cut off electronics two hours before bed. because that bright screen, that

right down here you see warmer terms along gulf coast down to parts of florida that's where we have big storms that are coming here. this is right now the only big storm system that we have. it is bringing some really loud storms across parts of north florida in towards southern georgia that is the case here severe weather threat that we have today across this area could be looking at a tornado or two getting into that season where we'll have to talk about that tornado threat by wednesday for one storm another on friday. all of this is part of this big warmup we're going to have temperatures here into the 80s across parts of the central plains. we have our biggest snowstorm a couple of days ago in minnesota for this year and now temps in towards the 60s but we're looking good temperature wise watch for a big storm lara by time we get to friday of this week. could be one of the biggest severe weather outbreaks this year. >> thank you so much rick now we're back to my favorite part of the show here we go we had some creepy creatures on earlier. this time man's best friend is
