isn't that proof that the trump tariff will work to achieve his foreign policy goals? >> it is proof we have an unbalanced trade deficit, have been in that situation for a very long time. that is one thing trump is hoping to rectify. we're paying, we're getting 90 billion a year in tariffs and pays hundreds of billions to other countries. he wants to level the playing field. that is a big part of it and he'll continue for that reason. he wants revenues, he wants to lower taxes and spur manufacturing coming home. here is the thing that nobody is talking about. in the past, this would have been an impossible quest, manufacturing gone down for 22 months in a row up until trump was elected and it began to inch higher. why have we lost so many manufacturing jobs? partly because labor rates are

ever been passed even though it was supposed to reduce inflation. it didn't. it increased inflation by a total of $1 trillion in some estimates. so now the american people want results. president trump promised results and on day one and it's hard to believe it's only been six or seven weeks. but so much is getting accomplished. so much is done. look at the border. the measures, that was the number one issue in my district. i have a border district, of course. but, look at the border. the border crossings are down from 160, 80, thousand dollars a month in the month of february for every preceding february to 8,000 just because president trump is in office? that's the kind of results the american people are looking for. and what does that do? that helps americans save money. we're spending billions, hundreds of billions of dollars for illegal immigrants for every amenity they get over our veterans and people truly needy. what are we getting for it. the border is critically important. cutting taxes, unleashing american energy. trump is on the path to doing that.

you know, it's a tough road to change habits. so i think the democrats are really the people that are acting like teenagers, screaming and carrying on. you saw the horrible situation with, you know, representative al green who shook his cane by the way a person with a cane why are they shaking it in the air? they don't really need a cane. he was shaking his cane in the air. holding up signs mocking americans, mocking the republicans. sewing no interest in actually working with us on the agenda that the american people voted for. >> todd: right. >> those are the people truly acting like unruly teenagers. >> todd: i can't imagine the democrats keep thinking call out the american people great idea. it hasn't worked in any election so far. they keep doing it maybe because they believe it. colleagues introducing a bill to prevent china from controlling america's food supply chain. china controls over 90% of the vitamins used in animal food including c and b 6. how vital is a bill like this to not only our food supply but

also national security, about 30 seconds to you, congresswoman? >> absolutely. this is a great bill by ashley henson. tremendous representative from iowa. really important we bring our supply chains back in every way we can i have a bill called the pills act which does a similar thing. brings our supply chains back. vital vitamins and medicines that we make should be made in country with all of the provisions that we have, the labor standards, the fda, all the standard we have to make these things excellent, safe for american citizens. we aren't getting that kind of oversight and security when they're produced in places like china. >> todd: right. it creates a situation where if they want to turn the screws on us, they can. and that puts us in a horrible situation when it comes to negotiating. congresswoman claudia tenney we appreciate it? >> thank you so much. >> todd: carley, don't forget to set your dvr 5:00 a.m. every morning so you don't miss a minute of "fox & friends first." >> carley: "fox & friends" starts right now
