just ignore the sky is falling reports in the regime press. tune out the breathless reporting about market gyrations because even the most dedicated globalists, they know trump is good for business. >> the president is engaged with the business community, the administration is engaged with the business community. and that's a different experience than what we have had over the course of the last four years. i would also observe, you know, his sense of optimism in the engagement yesterday at the brt. >> laura: so what we are living through now is a transition. and this one is good for us. for decades, ours has been an economy driven by government stimulus. a lot of printing and borrowing of money. government spending. government giveaways. and trump knows our survival though requires a return to an economy by private sector productivity, the way it used to be. that's why the playing field in global trade has got to be leveled. >> we have tariffs -- dairy products from canada, 270%.

going up to 400 percent. you never hear that canada is absolutely one of the worst. and we -- when i say worst, worst in terms of charging tariffs. their dairy products. they charge our farmers, 240, 250, 270 and 400 percent. and economy charge them like peanuts. >> laura: 400 percent. that's fair. trump has been on this since, i don't know, some time in the 180s. >> it's very important that you have free trade. but we don't have free trade right now. if you want to go to japan or if you want to go to saudi arabia, various other countries, it's virtually impossible for an american to do business in those countries. a lot of people are tired of watching other countries ripping off the united states. this is a great country. they laugh at us behind our backs they laugh at us at our own stupidity. >> laura: nearly 40 years later donald trump is in a position to do something about it. >> the united states of america is going to take back a lot of what was stolen from it by other

countries. and by, frankly, incompetent u.s. leadership. we're going to take back our wealth and we're going to take back a lot of the companies that left. >> laura: take back what they stole from us or what we gave away stupid policies. you think about it, what is the alternative? keep allowing government to just balloon out of control? keep borrowing money? keep -- i don't know, the deficit spending 2 trillion every time we do a budget? what happens when our debt becomes too risky and then no one wants to buy it? >> they have to sell a quantity of debt that the world is not going to want to buy. and that's a set of circumstances that is imminent. you are going to see shocking developments in terms of how that's going to be dealt with in our lifetime. trump understands. this but democrats, for political reasons, pretend not to.

over again. all biden needed to do in january 2021 when you really think this through, where the economy was in december 2019 before the pandemic all bidened needed to do came into office open the economy, open the country up, get america back to business. but, of course, he did the opposite. he kept things closed longer. for months and months and months. he blew trillions that we didn't need to spend on covid giveaways and ukraine. on illegals and, of course, countless boondoggles that we're only discovering now. and if they're back in a majority, they will do it again. more spending, more wasted foreign aid, more investigations, yes, of trump and probably, yeah, another impeachment. so does america really want that? we have seen that movie. and we know how it ended. and that's the angle. joining me now is grant cardone, he is the ceo and founder of cardone capital.

okay, grant, this just in right before the show, the trump administration is considering adding tariffs to the imports of timber and lumber as well as their derivative products necessary to protect national security. your reaction to that tonight? , well, 100 percent. it's exactly what president trump is doing. it is what we should have been doing years ago. not just through the biden years. we get about 30% of our soft wood from canada. and, which is a great deal of soft wood, that's paper products then the regard woods we produce. now while canada has a lot of forest land. more forest land than we have. we have enough timber. we produce more hardwood than canada, by scale. and we could not need them. we don't need them for their milk. we don't need them for their cheeses. we don't need them for their coffee. we don't need canada. canada needs america. donald trump knows this. as well as, i believe this is

his interest in the panama canal because most of our hard woods come from brazil if we don't manufacture ourselves. bottom line is we need to become independent of these other countries and these imports and the way to do that is to put fair tariffs in place so that we level the playing and we going competitive. the current -- >> laura: i think he is the current thought leader along with jazmine crockett? >> you call him a thought leader, huh? >> i find it hard not to describe it as a government of the billionaires. and that is what oligarchies. these are, you know, the scariest times in my lifetime. that's all. they could subjectively the truth. it's not only the power of money, it's also combined with that the movement toward authoritarianism. >> laura: grant, it's all about the oligarchy. how does that make sense when the billionaires, many of them

are complaining about the tariffs? the tariffs are good for the middle class, it brings jobs back to america. so, i don't get that argument. >> yeah, look, the viewer needs to understand and that you guys that are conservative and vote republican, the democratic party for the most part are a bunch of good people that are led by compassion and they want people to have, you know, freedom and choices. the problem with the democratic party today is not led by democrats, it's led by crazies, complete, insane, out-of-connection, don't understand priorities. this guy is talking about me. i'm a self-made person, grew up in the bayous of louisiana. built a company for myself that takes care of other people. i'm not hurting anybody. i'm not some oligarch. like this is insanity. i'm out hiring people, giving jobs, no government involved. not reaching into the government's pockets. not stealing money. i'm producing jobs and opportunities for people, myself, my family, and my community. >> laura: grant, -- >> -- it all started in

overseas, what did the democrats say? well, people are just going to have to learn to code. they are just going to have to learn new skills. what about government workers? i would say the same thing? no one wants anyone to lose their job. i understand it's very painful and it's awful. that's not real in an economy with $36 trillion in debt. and it's not sustainable. so, i think trump has s. on a common sense path. going to be a little different for a while. i feel very positive and i think he is right. the business leaders that i talk to are extremely bullish on this country. >> i talk to business leaders every day. they are extremely bullish on the direction of the company. the cuts that are being made. doge is a positive thing. anybody that's ever run a company. not a politician. but really run a company, are controlled in violator or in this case an entire country, knows that you have to get rid of the bad leadership. you got cut out the fat. and then you rebuild the culture. and america wants that they voted for it. i'm for it. and i believe that the second

do time for this. this is a total defrauding of the u.s. taxpayer. a lot of people probably have to do time for this. but, for now the left wing slush funds are being shut down including all of the epa's dei and environmental justice offices immediately. joining me now epa administrator lee zeldin. mr. administrator, the left is hitting you hard for shutting down something called clean power plan 2.0. it sounds so wonderful. so why are you so mean? >> well, i must be doing something right if the left is attacks us for being good stewards of tax dollars, if they're attacking us for getting rid of an office to fulfill the president's executive orders and mandates that the american public demanded with their vote november 5 of the. as it relates to the regulatory action today. there were 32 actions that we took. it's the most significant, biggest deregulatory action in the history of the country.

canceled by the agency. abc news is reporting that epa staff members across the country have been told by supervisors that they are prohibited from communicating with partners, grantee partners that they're supposed to supervise and monitor according to multiple sources inside the epa. and others working directly with the agency, do you have any comment about that tonight? >> generally speaking across the country, that's just fake news. the only alternative for a few employees that come to mind is that there is an active and dni investigation those people no. here is the problem we need more accountability and oversight not less. anybody inside the agency and not part of the problem they should be concerned about their own future inside the agency. we don't need them. we need people in the agency there to do good work and make the american proud. more oversight not less. >> laura: one problem that i

been called off. let's go live to kennedy space center very senior correspondent is standing by what happened? >> nasa officials say it was a high -- a hydraulic issue on one of the clamps that helps hold the rocket to the launch tower in the launch complex. they emphasize this was not a problem with the rocket itself, that spacex... or the capsule that rest on top of it. if you take a look at the live feed coming from nasa you can see the closeout team, those people dressed in the black and then just suits, they are helping the astronauts out of the spacecraft, it's a very long process getting them in and out. right now they are helping them to get out in the same team will help them back in once they determine the next launch attempt. they do have two upcoming

windows or opportunities. the earliest would be tomorrow evening at 7:26 p.m. eastern. another window friday at 7:03 p.m. eastern time. that doesn't mean they are going to take it yet. they have to determine first that they are going to be able to repair this problem on the ground before the launch attempt. before they decide weather to take either of these very specific windows. they call them instantaneous launch windows because the international space station as a moving target, you have to launch at a specific time to reach the most ideal, efficient and safe trajectory for those astronauts. >> thank you very much. and taxpayers in indiana are shocked to learn about what changes their tax dollars could soon be funding. kevin corke is here with all the details. what on earth is going on.

>> you may have heard this, the aclu is suing the department of corrections on behalf of a transgender inmate. mn by the name of jonathan richardson who also goes by autumn. this person was convicted of strangling his 11-month-old stepdaughter back in 2001, killed her while her mom was at work. this inmate wants a so-called sex change surgery which doesn't change you from xy to xx but that's what they are calling it. the judge in this circumstance, a clinton appointee, granted the inmates motion to renew a preliminary injunction insofar as it relates to the 8th of may meant deliberate indifference claim. indiana's attorney general has been defending the law barring sex change operations for inmates. estate ag argues that the eighth mm it doesn't require the state to provide experimental treatments in general and it certainly doesn't apply here

especially when you have multiple doctors saying this inmate is a poor candidate for surgery. they also claims this inmate has identified as a female since the age of six and is now a woman. trapped in a man's body which means thanks to the judge, taxpayers in the state could be on the hook for this inmates operation. quite a scene and something that a lot of people can't believe but that's what they are telling us right now. >> this is crazy. does tattoo removal come with this exchange? that's terrifying. >> eighth amendment you know this, we are talking about cruel and unusual punishment. the argument they are making is that it's cruel to not give this surgery because he needs it. >> so eighth amendment cruel and unusual punishment, to not allow
