making a little noise. high school seniors change their dream of going to elite colleges like columbia because of property tests. ceo christopher rim joining us what's again. what are your clients telling you right now? >> first, thank you for having me. a lot of students are really focussing on applying to a wide set and diverse group of schools right no and not just about ivy lea leagues and students are interested to applying to do you recollects stanford, mit and 23409 just columbia in particular. >> todd: the reason is amongst the jewish students they don't feel safe. they're worried for safety if they go to those schools; right? >> definitely. a lot of our state of the unions that are jewish, they want free speech on campus but what they done want is the violence. they don't want protesters to

destroy property, block access to campuses, dining halls, libraries, there's a difference between free speech and really destroying property on campus. >> todd: yeah, and that ladder is not protect -- latter is not protects. a 21-year-old from australia is questioning his columbia acceptance and said being a jew is empowering but like stick ago middle if i think tore people and advocating and demonstrating for israel hawaii has me second guesses is how dangerous is it on campus? will professors grade me differently if i'm outspoken about israel and we've heard that over and over from the jewish students but only students that are jewish, or are you hearing concern from all students regardless of religion? >> so, we're getting concerns from students across the board. the only group of students there's not so much concern it -- now it's changing because of the whole funding that trump

is pulling from columbia and other top tier universities and international students didn't care as much but right now they do because we have a student that was accepted early decision to columbia this year, just about three months ago. but the lab the student was supposed to conduct research at and work together with the professor, that lab and professor announced on x a few days ago he fears his lab will be losing funding. students trying to figure out how to get out of early decision commitments to columbia. if you apply early decision, it's a binding contract and you'll attend if you're accepted early in december. but things have changed. campuses are not going to be able to offer and schools not able to offer what they essentially promise to do the students for the great learning environment, especially if they're losing funnelling and not tapping to endowment and making sure that they have the right resources for all

students. >> todd: christopher, so glad you mentioned the funding because that leads me to the reason that the trump administration is withholding funding in the first place. he wants real change at columbia and elsewhere and not lip service like we value all student's freedom of expression. you're going to stop having jewish students harassed on campus and if you don't, the money flames of uic will stop. my question for you is do you see, knowing the higher education system as well as you do, do you see the schools, colleges and universities affecting real change so all state of the unions feel comfortable on campus once again because the money spigot will dry up. >> absolutely. all the violent protests
