president trump was new to the presidency. but this time around, president trump has hit the ground running. he won the popular vote, democrats have kind of looked back and they said you know, biden really was a a week president. some of these positions like having an open border were really crazy. all of this spending that generated inflation really hurt. so i think in retrospect, they looked back you're on everything and they wondered how they could possibly have supported it. i think trump is still -- he is in the 50 percent, 52% rating. people are still waiting to see improve on what he's doing but there's still a lot of support for policies like deporting criminals. i think you see this party is in the wilderness right now, it is going to be in the wilderness for a while, it is much better off looking for some areas where it could cooperate, not try to run the resistance playbook again because the truth of the

matter is that people want to see trump's policies and weather they are going to work or not. they don't want resistance, they want cooperation and collaboration and bipartisanship. and that is why schumer did the right thing when he didn't shut down the government. he was protecting the party from an even worse debacle and it would have been worse because you know how republicans know what happens when you shut down the government. nothing good for the party that does. so look, i think there is going to be a war within the party, it will take until the primaries and may be another bill clinton will come out of this party and maybe not. >> i've only got seconds left, so miranda and scott, "ahead. >> listen, bill clinton and jfk aren't allowed in the party anymore. moderate democrats aren't allowed anymore, is no moderate democrats allowed in this party. they are so far left that the average american does not understand what they are talking about and this fighting with the

>> it is hard to say exactly what the features are that he maintains that really triggers this thing. but somehow he pushes right on that button and fundamentally underneath this, let me put it this way. another way of conceptualizing this is yet another mass formation or mass formation psychosis. about 20% of people really become hypnotized by the press, they become hypnotized by their social echo chambers and they can be persuaded very quickly, 20% that they are in danger, historical -- hysterical or delusional and to the extent that trumped arrangement syndrome affects the functioning and i would say having trouble traveling is beginning to affect functioning, then it becomes a real disorder. no what his underlying it, i would actually say that trumped arrangement is sort of a symptom of other disorders. although, as i said, these two psychologist have characterized it as a real syndrome, it is not in the dsm-v and i know minnesota is attempting to legislate it as a syndrome.

that will not increase the probability it will show up on a diagnostic. >> isn't there an easy remedy for these people? if it scares you to go travel abroad because you were afraid of donald trump, maybe you just -- maybe you can travel to some other place? maybe in the united states or just not travel. isn't that the easiest remedy? >> no, it's not the remedy. guess what? because what we know, contrary to the way we have sort of directed our youth in the last 10 years, the way to develop mental health and resiliency, particularly around obsessive thoughts and anxiety is exposure. exposure therapy. tolerable exposure. ideally we would expose them to president trump. we would make contact with him so when he doesn't become the cartoon figure they have heard about and their echo chambers, he becomes a human being, he becomes someone may or may not disagree with and that is that. but as it is, we tell people you need a safe space, you can't be

offended, you need to protect yourself. that is how you create mental illness. particularly around ocd and anxiety-type symptoms. and that is certainly a feature of all of this. >> you know, there are some families that just can't get together at thanksgiving because it instantly devolves to talking about politics. and there are a lot of people out there that just cannot resist the idea that maybe they can just talk about family or sports or entertainment and just not talk about that. but exposure, that is an interesting theory on how to deal with it. because some people, i think it is very real for them. >> it for sure is. and it -- as i said, because it is sort of a mass group, 20 or 30% become hypnotized, .% are saying what's going on here, this doesn't feel right. much the same way as covid went. and then about 70% really

doesn't care that much. they just want to get on with her life as people are often saying these days, they want the economy to grow, they want jobs, they want to take care of their family. that is the vast majority of americans. and those people are not the ones staying away from their family dinner tables. it is that 20% that is hypnotized that makes all of the trouble. >> it is that small percentage that wants to throw a molotov cocktail at a tesla that scares me. and i don't know -- you may have some deep-seated thoughts on how to deal with that but law enforcement and incarceration may be a good remedy as well. that's just my personal take on it. last thought to you. >> i would just say we don't bring consequences down enough. that is what helps people contain their behaviors when their behaviors are destructive and irrational. >> dr. drew pinsky, you are the best. appreciate you joining us tonight, really do appreciate it. coming up, more and more

will be more than $100 billion a year. thanks to johnson & johnson, good on you. and following president trump's meeting with leaders from the united arab emirates earlier this week, the uae has committed to a 10-year, $1.4 trillion investment in the united states. none of that was happening with joe biden but it is certainly happening with donald trump. also happening this week the sun reported that king charles may propose making the united states an associate member of the commonwealth. during trump's second state visit. trump responded to the report with a truth social post saying, quote, i love king charles, sounds good to me. here now with reaction, trumps economic advisor and cofounder of unleash prosperity, steve moore along with the blankly fellow kelly mcgee whites. kailey, let's start with you dear. donald trump, promises made, promises delivered.

we are at like day 91 of the trump administration and we are seeing billions and billions pour into manufacturing that wasn't there before. >> and this influx of investment is really one of the reasons that i refuse to be sour on trumps economic agenda no matter what the polls say. because clearly what he is proposing is attracting money. and money talks. and i think this very swift and massive influx of investment also speaks to a larger point. which is that for the past 50 years, there very clearly has been a deliberate and coordinated effort to dismantle the united states economy from a great one to just an average one. that everyone else in the world gets to benefit from, except for the very people who pay taxes into the system. donald trump wants to change that. he has a plan to change that and that plan just so happens to be attracting a lot of investment from companies that wall street might not like but certainly the american taxpayers are going to end up liking what they produce.

>> i mean, steve, this is just this week and the numbers are pretty stunning. you understand the numbers, you made a whole career or whole living off of crunching numbers. what is going on here, what is the difference, wise trump able to do this and maybe others not so much? >> all of those numbers that you cited are on top of the $1 trillion of commitments he already had the week before. so that is unamazing number. certainly an all-time record of $2 trillion committed to be invested in the united states under want to make sure people understand, when companies invest here, they create jobs here and those tend to be high-paying. your tongue but manufacturing jobs, in structuring drops, pharmaceutical jobs at a lot of

new investment in the technology sector. no the reason that is happening is not just because these countries love trump, they love his policies. we will loan him the tax rates, we will reduce the regulatory costs of being here, will reduce the cost when you were here and what is not to like i think this is just the beginning of an avalanche of investment coming into the united states and creating jobs here and making us number 1 again. >> to steve's point there, there is a lot of jobs, a lot of people will have some options to move up the food chain and make more money. and look, these employers to attract good employees, they will have to pay more. >> it will be especially important for working-class voters and for the middle class which has been completely hollowed out under democratic policies that have only benefited the upper 1%. i think of my own family in rural ohio, many of whom still work for the exact same auto factory that they started out when they were teenagers. they have watched their industry be hollowed out at the expense of democratic policies. trump cares about those workers and many of the economic policies that he has introduced are deliberately designed to benefit them, to bring the factories back, to bring their jobs back and give them a shot

at the american dream which is what everyone deserves. >> steve, so much of this is going to revolve around taxes. it is not a discussion may be that everyone has on a daily basis but you have made a salient point about the need to have tax reform and make sure that it is permanent. give us a little more depth to that. >> i would say that on top of that, even more important than permanent is do it urgently. and i think most of your viewers understand that by january first, if we don't get that bill passed, we're talking about 4 trillion-dollar tax increase, that will be the biggest tax increase probably in war -- world history. and incidentally, your former colleagues, the democrats in congress, everything the one of them, every one of them voted for that tax increase back about three weeks ago. so it is critical that they get it done, it's critical that they do it quickly. but the first quarter gdp is going to be negative because of

the residue of biden economics. we don't want to second quarter of negative gdp or that would technically be a recession, that's not the way republicans want to start. the way to avoid that recession is to get the tax cut done and then the investment will flow in even faster and so will the jobs. >> real quickly, both of you want to get you on the record, "want you to predict. starting with you, is it going to be one big beautiful bill and reconciliation? and they actually do that or really have to push it into two bills? >> i think -- i think it will be one bill. because i think trump will get everything that he wants, you will fit a lot in their and he has a lot to fit in there. i think he just wants to do it all at once and he knows he has the best shot at passing if they do it in one. >> steve? quickly, what's your prediction. >> i would say one bill and here's what i want to propose trump to get on the case of the senators to get this done. how about a bill signing ceremony on memorial day?
