11:00 pm
coachella and bernie's on stage. oh, talk about a bad trip. ray from fort collins, colorado. patchy pete did not grow a beard. i shouldn't say that. when i try to grow, something comes a little patchy. bill from pittsburgh, pennsylvania. real men do not wear white jeans unless they are licking ice cream cones or drinking from a straw. i wear white jeans and i'm about as manly as they come, so that rule is not going in. jason from kushla, alabama i'm sure purple lipstick guy also wears white jeans. wow, a lot of white gene haters out there. okay, probably because you guys can't pull it off like i can. john from vail i think that shade of lipstick is known as act blue. very good. i'm waters. this is my world.
11:01 pm
>> and welcome. >> to hannity. and tonight. >> our show is all about results and consequential transformational change. because under president donald trump that is what is happening. >> and that. >> includes peace overseas. coming up. >> tonight. >> trump's special envoy steve witkoff. he will join us. he just got back from moscow where he met with vladimir putin. witkoff also this weekend, he spoke face to face with iran's foreign minister. he will be here with a full debrief that is only moments away. plus, we'll have the latest economic news. trump's great american reset is already paying huge dividends, both on wall street and on main street. sadly, some democrats are still having a very hard time coping with the president's success. one former washington post nutjob and new york times nutjob is cheering for violence against business leaders while having a big laugh on fake news cnn. we got the clip that's straight ahead. we'll also bring you the very latest details about a man now charged with attempted murder
11:02 pm
and terrorism, after what was a horrifying arson attack against the pennsylvania governor, josh shapiro, and his family during passover. and in our other news of the day segment, our very own jimmy failla will weigh in on bernie sanders at coachella. peta people for the ethical treatment of animals, praising trump and a very woke up. well, let's just say individual who's deeply offended by the term mankind. and wait until you see our viral video of the day. it takes the concept of service animals comfort animals to a whole new level. it's very big. large. here's a hint. it's not a giraffe, but it's big. all right. first breaking tonight. the news many of you have been waiting to hear for years. the white house will soon ask congress to claw back a whopping 9 billion wasted annual dollars from usaid and defund both npr and pbs. now,
11:03 pm
if they are successful, npr, pbs will now be forced to smear donald trump and his supporters without the help of your hard earned tax dollars, of course. both far left outlets have existed in a fantasy world for quite some time, in sharp contrast with their constant anti-trump reporting. americans from all walks of life like and support donald trump over the weekend. even shaquille o'neal embraced president trump at a packed ufc arena where only moments before trump and miami gets a standing ovation. take a look. >> 37th president of the united states of america. right by ufc ceo dana white and others donald j. trump. is there anybody else that has the walk in other than a fighter? he has the music and rock stars
11:04 pm
playing. >> all right, let's be clear. it's not only republicans that are supporting the president. naturally, some democrats, they would prefer to support his policies on the down low. here's an example. michigan governor gretchen whitmer. she was at the white house last week to bolster the president's trade deals and free and fair trade or reciprocal tariffs. your choice. why? because michigan probably has been devastated more than any other state by other countries ripping us off and destroying our domestic manufacturing. just take a look at the city of detroit auto, the auto factory leader. you know, one factory after another after another, shut down. detroit loses half of its population as a result. whitmer should be fighting to fix this. democrats should be fighting for hard working men and women all around the country. but as you can see here, she tried to hide her face in the oval office when a reporter attempted to snap a pic. pretty pathetic. also
11:05 pm
tonight we have news on immigration. thanks to a90 decision from the u.s. supreme court and ms. 13 gang member citizen not of the united states, but el salvador will not be coming back to this country. you know what? you break our laws. you don't respect our borders and sovereignty. that's breaking that. that means you go home to the to the utter dismay of fake news, cnn. take a look. >> do you plan. >> to ask president bush to help return the man who your administration says was mistakenly deported? the man who was mistakenly deported to el salvador? >> well, let me ask, pam, would you ask. answer that question, sir. >> president. first and foremost, he was illegally in our country. he had been illegally in our country. and in 2019, two courts, an immigration court and an appellate immigration court ruled that he was a member of ms. 13 and he was illegally in our country. >> would you answer that question also, please?
11:06 pm
>> yes, gladly. so, as pam mentioned, there's an illegal alien from el salvador. so with respect to you, he's a citizen of el salvador. so it's very arrogant, even for american media to suggest that we would even tell el salvador how to handle their own citizens as a starting point, as two immigration courts found that he was a member of ms. 13. when president trump declared ms. 13 to be a foreign terrorist organization, that meant that he was no longer eligible under federal law, which i'm sure you know, you're very familiar with the ina, that he was no longer eligible for any form of immigration relief in the united states. so he had a deportation order that was valid. >> can president bukele weigh in on this? do you plan to return him? >> well, i'm not suggesting that i smuggle a terrorist into the united states, right? i mean, how can i smuggle? how can i return him to the united states? like i smuggle him into the united states? or what do i do? of course i'm not going to
11:07 pm
do it. it's like. i mean, the question is preposterous. >> law and order, safety, security. respect our laws. border sovereignty. come in, but come in legally. now, tonight, we can report that 11 more violent illegal immigrants, including seven trend de aragua gang members, were deported to el salvador and their notorious prison system over the weekend. president trump has a duty to protect all of you and our way of life. what happened under biden at the border is unforgivable. we will pay the price for his open border policies for decades likely to come. and by the way, today, the illegal immigrant who killed a maryland mother of five. we've spoken of her often. rachel moran, thankfully convicted of murder. but we should never forget the pain, the suffering caused by what was the most preventable national security crisis that joe and kamala created at our border. now, thankfully, as promised, president trump has secured our borders, is now deporting as many criminal illegals as possible. by the
11:08 pm
way, if you didn't come here legally, you are a criminal. and all it took was leadership. we're seeing the same thing now when it comes to trade. there are now more than 100 countries that are begging to negotiate with the trump white house. 15 hard deals are on the table. but if you're watching the state run legacy media mob this morning, you might have seen janet yellen once famously promised that person that inflation was transitory. well, she referred to donald trump's economic vision as a pipe dream. take a look. >> i don't understand the rationale for the tariffs. perhaps it's to bring back american manufacturing, but i really think that's a that's a pipe dream and not something that is likely to be accomplished. and we could even raise questions about whether or not, in a broad based way, that's a desirable goal. >> the rationale. how about stop ripping off america? stop
11:09 pm
abusing america, especially our allied countries, most of whom depend on the u.s. for their national security. other big news today, tech giant nvidia announced a $500 billion investment right here in the usa entirely manufacturing their supercomputers, ai infrastructure inside this country for the very first time. but according to abc's jon karl, another elitist in the media, this type of investment is not actually a good thing. apparently, he's worried that we will become, quote, a nation of cobblers. take a look. >> the president also said there's going to be a transition cost transition problems. i mean, we are going to see higher prices in america. it's not like you can open a factory tomorrow to build iphones or to make sneakers, shoes. i mean, we, we, we buy a lot of shoes in this country. 99% of them are made elsewhere. i mean, are we
11:10 pm
going to become a nation of cobblers again? i mean, what this is going to mean higher prices, isn't it? >> i mean, have. >> you seen. i don't necessarily think so. i think the idea is that we can manufacture here in america. >> all right. as a former blue collar worker for decades of my life, i kind of take it as a compliment. but this isn't just about good american jobs. it's also a matter of national security. you know, relying on china for pharmaceuticals or other countries for semiconductor chips. that's a dangerous game. and right on cue, china just suspended exports of rare earth minerals to the u.s. in a blatant attempt to kneecap weapons and tech manufacturing. so donald trump is absolutely right. this reliance on china and other countries will come to an end once and for all. they can have free and fair trade if they choose, or reciprocal tariffs. that's their choice. the president will almost never get
11:11 pm
any positive coverage from the legacy media mob. the good news is, almost no one in the u.s. trusts or respects these people anyway. so what's the point? it doesn't really matter what they say or what they write. anyplace. anywhere anyway. these far left democrats pretending to be newsmen are screaming into the void. here, with reaction, the host of making money on the fox business network, charles payne, is here. charles, you know, let's take an example. european union, do they not rely on the u.s. and nato? don't they rely on the u.s. for a lot of their national security needs? and aren't they supposed to be our allies? and if they are, can you explain why the e.u. sells nearly $50 billion worth of automobiles in the u.s. every year, while we sell a little over 8 billion? that would be unfair. is it because of their 10% tariff to our 2.5% tariff, or their 30%, the 20% vat tax, which adds 30%
11:12 pm
to the sticker price, which makes that car from the u.s. cost prohibitive? maybe that's not. maybe that's not the way friends should treat each other. >> yeah, it's all of the above. and i guess it's like the dysfunctional relationship maybe someone has with a neighbor that's borrowed their lawnmower, that's borrowed this, that's borrowed that, that's borrowed money and never mentions it and never bothers to give it back. you know, you take things for granted and, you know, you go back to after world war two. we rebuilt europe, right? i mean, and since then we've kind of taken this on. you go back to the general account, you know, the first tariff agreement, the global tariff agreement, the world was in tatters. we as a nation helped to rebuild the entire world, starting with europe. and we just lost track of everything we just saw. we're sort of sitting on this perch. we said, well, let china enter the world trade organization 2001 look at any significant data since then with respect to us manufacturing, manufacturing, jobs, output, all the stuff. and it's really abysmal. and they they still are considered
11:13 pm
an emerging growth nation even though they're the number two economy in the world. so it's unfortunate that our quote unquote friends have treated us this way. but we're up. you know, they used to talk about being woke. this is really being awake right now. and we're doing something about it while we can. you know, those folks out there who say, well, we can't build a factory overnight, that is the dumbest excuse for not doing the right thing i've ever heard. it is like a little child saying something stupid about not doing their homework. of course, we can't make a manufacturing plant overnight, but we can get rid of regulations. we can dig a hole in the ground, we can give it the approval. and guess what? if it takes two years? two years flies by pretty quick. if it takes five years, five years flies by pretty quick. if you talk about doing things for your children and your grandchildren, if you really care or you want to live in a moment, this woe is me, this is nuts. and what's wrong with these jobs? you know, china takes china. put out these video last week. i'm sure you saw it. really disgusting. overweight obese guy slumping
11:14 pm
over his sewing machine, making fun of us. right. and we've we've fed into that this elitist attitude that dominates our media, that somehow these jobs where you work with your hands, blue collar work, great work, great work that is gone. and they laugh at the notion that we would want to bring it back. >> yeah. you know, well, i did notice that the prime minister of great britain and i thought this was pretty interesting, lifted tariffs on what, 89 specific products. obviously brexit separates them from the eu. you see india now wanting to talk to the u.s. you see countries in asia wanting to talk to the u.s. japan wants to talk to us taiwan korea wants to talk to us. i would imagine we're going to get deal after deal after deal, which to me, donald trump would get massive win after win after win because this policy, this, this institutionalist mindset has been going on for 50 or 60 years. if he's able to stop
11:15 pm
that, that is a huge win for him. >> it's a huge win for america. it really is. we're talking about planting seeds right now so that our dominance that that a second american century goes on. you know, there have been great world powers in the past, and typically they have a 100 year run. we're past our date of expiration. if you look at it that way, we, you know, in the way they fall apart, go back to the roman empire, they become complacent. they become fat, lazy. and, you know, we don't want to become those things. we don't want to be complacent. and when someone says, well, we're 26% of the world's wealth, we used to be 40% of the world's wealth. we can't wake up when we're 10% and we're in the snowball has become the proverbial boulder, right? we're going downhill right now, no matter what anybody says, and particularly inside the country where the richest folks have gotten so much richer because the focus has been on the financialization of our nation, how money makes more money, that's all it is, one gimmick after another. and it's wonderful. yeah, overall, the wealth is amazing, but it's
11:16 pm
shared less and less with the average american that's working paycheck to paycheck. so i just i just ask people out there who are worried and nervous, give it more than a week, give it more than two weeks. this is monumental. what they're trying to achieve when the news starts to roll out, listen to it. you'll be happy about it. and i think, again, this is not something this is not about president trump in the next three years. this is about america in the next several decades. >> charles payne, thank you as always. now earlier today, harvard announced that it will defy president trump's order to cut dei programs and expel pro-hamas protesters, putting the school's federal funding at risk. sadly, this is not the first time schools like harvard cited with. let's see. a designated terror organization like hamas, you might recall. take a look. >> at mit does calling for the genocide of jews violate mit's code of conduct or rules regarding bullying and harassment? yes or no. if targeted at individuals. >> not making public statements, if it is directed
11:17 pm
and severe or pervasive, it is harassment. >> so the answer is yes. >> it is a context dependent decision, congresswoman. anti-semitic rhetoric. >> and is it anti-semitic rhetoric? >> anti-semitic rhetoric when. >> it crosses into conduct that amounts to bullying, harassment, intimidation, that is actionable conduct, and we do take action. >> so the answer is yes, that calling for the genocide of jews violates harvard code of conduct. correct. >> again, it depends on the context. >> it does not depend on the context. the answer is yes. and this is why you should resign. these are unacceptable answers across the board. >> all right. here with reaction. new york congresswoman elise stefanik. would the would you have gotten the same answer if it had to do with transgender or lgbtq plus or a race issue? i tend to think not, congresswoman. >> of course not, sean. and
11:18 pm
think about that. that hearing occurred during the biden administration. and what did we see from joe biden? zero action to protect jewish students on campuses and to hold these universities accountable. two of those three university presidents were forced to resign, and there was an additional four from other universities that were forced to resign. but president trump correctly made the correct decision to defund these institutions. if you look at what they required for harvard, it was protection of jewish students. it is making sure that we are getting rid of dei, which by definition is anti-semitic, and instead harvard is acting more entitled than ever. president trump made the direct and correct decision to defund to the tune of over $2 billion. these higher ed institutions that have fundamentally lost their way. u.s. taxpayer dollars should never be propping up antisemitism, and the vast majority of the american people support president trump and support the work that we are doing in congress to hold these higher ed institutions accountable.
11:19 pm
>> okay, if as a country, we want to, you know, help kids get to get through a local community college that's relatively inexpensive or maybe a trade school, i think american taxpayers would be far more accepting of that. why should one taxpayer dollar go to these elite institutions and so-called institutions of education, when they have billions and billions and billions of dollars in endowments? why don't they pay for their own scholarships? why are they relying on, you know, hard working carpenters and nurses and, and, you know, bricklayers and everybody in between landscapers to pay for someone's harvard education. >> you are spot on, sean. and the vast majority of the american people do not want to prop up these institutions. i myself am a first generation college graduate. i graduated from harvard. that's clearly not the achievement. the achievement is maintaining my common sense and my conservatism and my strong
11:20 pm
values with which i was raised in, and strong moral leadership. there is so much opportunity across this country for the next generation, whether it's in the workforce, whether it's in this manufacturing renaissance that is going to happen under president donald j. trump, whether it's community colleges or trade schools, vocational programs, that is a pathway to success. higher education has fundamentally lost its way, and it's increasingly out of touch. and the tuition rates go higher and higher. so we need to defund across the board. and president trump is rightly holding these schools accountable. >> all right, congresswoman great job as always. we do appreciate you being with us when we come back. some on the left, they continue to glorify political violence. this as we learn more new details about another twisted plot to assassinate president trump and the horrific attack against the governor of pennsylvania, josh shapiro, and his family. a full report on all of that is straight ahead. also, steve witkoff will give us the inside scoop. he met with putin this weekend and one of the leaders,
11:21 pm
the foreign minister of iran. we'll get that exclusive coming up straight ahead tonight on hannity. >> the biden pill penalty is crippling the development of life saving drugs for cancer, alzheimer's and other deadly diseases. it's already slashed funding for critical pill based medicines by 70%, jeopardizing cures. driving up costs and putting lives at risk. americans can't afford to keep paying the price for biden's failed policy. call congress, urge them to include a full repeal of the biden pill penalty in the budget reconciliation bill. >> parents, easter is coming up, and this year, you can help your kids celebrate with a free resurrection of jesus gift bundle from the kids guide. it's the perfect addition to any easter basket. hurry! order your free bundle at free easter gift.com. that's free easter gift.com. >> hi grandma, i played baseball today. >> oh that's great. >> what position.

11:24 pm
11:25 pm
itamin d3 absolutely free. text peak to 215215. >> and tonight, every american needs to start asking what is going on with all of these disturbing assassination attempts and assassination threats and all this domestic terrorism. now, over the weekend, a man who has been apprehended by police allegedly set fire to the pennsylvania governor's mansion while governor shapiro and his family were asleep. after saturday's seder at the beginning of passover. fox news has learned that the suspect is a 38 year old by the name of cody bomber, who has been charged with domestic terrorism, aggravated arson, aggravated assault, attempted homicide, among other charges. and according to new
11:26 pm
documents, a wisconsin teen is accused of killing his parents while allegedly planning to kill president trump. why? to start a, quote, political revolution. and on friday, federal prosecutors announced charges were being brought against the man. we're back in butler, pa. believe it or not, for threatening to assassinate president trump there. and elon musk and ice officials. now, make no mistake, what happened to governor josh shapiro this weekend is absolutely an act of domestic terrorism. the individual responsible must face swift justice for this heinous act. there is no excuse for violence of any kind like this in the country. president trump spoke out about it today, but for far too long, especially lately, the radical left and frankly, the democratic party in general, and a lot of the media, they have been, you know, cowardly, they have been silent, they have been hypocritical on the
11:27 pm
issue of, you know, widespread and rising domestic terrorism and radicalism. where is the left's outrage over the domestic terrorism, the violent attacks on tesla bullets shot into dealerships and charging stations and cars set ablaze, and tesla owners being doxed? what about the assassination threats on elon's life? remember, remember, this is also the party they have no problem with pro-hamas agitators on college campuses. they fight for their rights. they fight for the rights of trendy aragua gang members. and meanwhile, the alleged assassin of the united health care ceo is back in the news. why? after the far left former washington post columnist, former technology reporter for the new york times, daily beast, business insider taylor lorenz defended him, called him a morally good man. he assassinated a father and a husband. take a look. >> so you're going to see. >> women, especially.
11:28 pm
>> that feel. >> like, oh my god, right. like. >> here's this man who. >> who's revolutionary, who's famous. >> who's handsome, who's. >> young, who's smart. he's a person. >> that seems. like this morally good man, which. >> is hard to find. >> handsome, young, smart, morally good man. here, with reaction, fox news contributor joe concha. clinical psychologist doctor chloe carmichael is with us. doctor, i'll start with you. can you explain the psychology of rationalization? justification for domestic terrorism and threats of assassination? >> yes, sean. >> unfortunately, it's a really. >> sad thing. >> but actually, about 85 to 90% of psychologists identify as left of center. and so when we pair that with knowledge that, for example, there's a study out of rutgers showing that over half of people who identify as left of center felt it was somewhat justified, potentially, to murder
11:29 pm
president trump. so i think that my own field psychology has a real blind spot to this assassination culture. i think it comes from this belief in the idea that words are violence. and so they they're responding in a way that they think is reciprocal. if they don't like somebody's politics or somebody's speech, they feel it's justified to respond in kind by burning their house down. i mean, bomber who burned down shapiro's house was actually a registered socialist. so in his mind, shapiro might have been too far to the right. >> yeah. let me ask you, joe concha, the silence of chuck schumer, hakeem jeffries, they have tolerated what has been virulent anti-semitism within their ranks now for a long time. they have tolerated the anti-semitism on college campus. they have tolerated these attacks against elon musk and tesla. they've said
11:30 pm
nothing. they're afraid to go against their radical base. this happens to josh shapiro. i didn't hear enough people, as far as i'm concerned, speaking out against this. this to me was probably an act of hatred and a hate crime and anti-semitism related. we'll find out over time. but that's my best guess. the governor believes that's probably the case as well, considering it followed, you know, seder on saturday night. >> and remember what we saw a couple of years ago. sean, you covered it extensively. steve scalise, several other congressmen being shot at on a baseball field before the congressional baseball game that happened in northern virginia. and then we saw supreme court justices like brett kavanaugh, literally somebody was arrested for attempting to murder him while democrats were running protests, angry protests outside of his private residence. and all of this has just been tacitly like, well, this is all free speech. no, i don't think so. and watching that interview, by the way, if i could get it to the media
11:31 pm
side of this for a moment with taylor lorenz, i mean, if given the choice between taking a cyanide pill, vacationing in gaza, or watching that interview again, i'd consider the first two before the third option. what taylor lorenz said. and as you said, she worked for the new york times and washington post, two of the biggest newspapers in the country, they hired her. they paid her good money, despite her questionable so-called journalism. and to call this this coward who murdered united health care ceo brian thompson. this is a father of two kids. he's a husband. and to say, oh, you know, revolutionary, handsome, young, morally good man, which is hard to find and then to laugh after that, that's one thing. but cnn knew exactly what they were doing here by putting her on the air in prime time, because she said she felt. quote unquote, joy when she first heard the news of thompson's murder. but for cnn to put this lunatic on the air. well, in the host, that goofball donie o'sullivan, to laugh along with her. sean, if i'm running that network, i'd fire him. i'd fire his executive producer and anyone
11:32 pm
else who greenlighted that interview. but of course, it's not going to happen because cnn feels that as long as they're getting buzz, regardless if it's, you know, 99% negative, that's a means to an end. and it may explain why now their ratings are lower. sean. and i'm not joking about this. cnn's ratings are lower than the food network, something called freeform, a network discovery, hallmark mystery, tlc, and the history channel. i don't know, but they're getting better ratings than them because this is the crap that they put on. and it's just not journalism anymore. it's activism. and it's the worst kind of. >> i'm going to give you the last question is the reason that chuck schumer and the leadership of the democratic party is the reason they won't take on the virulent, you know, anti-semites in their own party that have said the most, you know, hateful things and even pro-hamas supporting things. is it because is it as simple as that, chuck schumer, hakeem jeffries, other leadership, they just want power at all costs, and they're not willing to take on the radicals.
11:33 pm
>> well, i mean, i do think that that's a big part of it. we have to remember also, even in california, they're trying to pass the luigi mangione access to health care act. so as much as i would love to say that taylor lorenz is just, you know, some kind of a fringe element, unfortunately, as i said, 55% of people to the left are into this, you know, kind of assassination culture. and i think it has a lot to do with free speech. and what we need to do is understand that words are not violence, and therefore violence is not the answer to words that we don't like. >> all right, chloe, we appreciate you being with us. joe. always good to see you. when we come back, the administration working day and night, trying to get peace in europe, peace in the middle east and implement the president's foreign policy agenda. steve witkoff had talks with vladimir putin and iranian leaders this weekend. he will give us the inside scoop on those meetings. and also, i think you'll be shocked at the viral video of the day. and

jimmy fallon will weigh in straight ahead. >> today i. >> choose us how to screen for colon cancer. here on my land, not theirs. give me cologuard or. >> give me. >> we can do. that for you. >> what? no battle? >> nope. >> just a prescription. >> victory! >> cologuard is an effective and noninvasive colon cancer screening test. false positive and negative results may occur. those at high risk should use colonoscopy. skip the drama. ask your provider or request cologuard online. >> irs3 letters that strike fear into everyone and for good reason. the irs is the most powerful collection agency on earth. and being a debt to the irs can have serious consequences. oftentimes, it begins with the irs sending you a collection letter, but then escalates. and before you know it, you're having your

11:39 pm
special envoy steve witkoff. a lot of people are skeptical. steve, good to see you, by the way, on both fronts here is there with putin a deal emerging, or is he trying to buy time knowing that putin sees a window of opportunity without hundreds of billions of us dollars in weaponry, you know, giving him a military advantage? do you really see a deal emerging? are you confident? >> i think. >> you used the very good word there, sean, emerging, i do i this is the third meeting i've had with him. this last meeting lasted close to five hours. we had two of. >> his. >> key advisors in the room at the time, ushakov and kirill dmitriev. and it was a compelling meeting. and towards the end we actually came up with, and i'm going to say
11:40 pm
finally. but but i don't mean it in the way that we were waiting. i mean it in the way that it took a while for us to get to this place. what putin's request is to get to have a permanent peace here. so beyond the cease fire, we got an answer to that. >> okay. and will the deal include things that maybe are out of the box that people aren't thinking about now? i would imagine vladimir putin probably would want to be in business with the us and with europe. is that a potential that could come out of this? >> there's no doubt about it. i mean, this this peace deal is about these, these so-called five territories, but there's so much more to it. there's security protocols. there's, you know, no nato, nato, article five. i mean, it's just, you know, a lot of detail
11:41 pm
attached to it. it's a complicated situation from, you know, rooted in, you know, some real problematic things happening between the two countries. and i think we might be on the verge of something that would be very, very important for the world at large. on top of that, i believe there's a possibility to reshape the russian united states relationship through some very compelling commercial opportunities that i think give real stability to the region, to partnerships, create stability. >> well, you know what? money solves a lot of problems, steve. you've been a successful businessman your whole career. let me go to iran, if i may. and meeting face to face with the iranian foreign minister, the first known contact with the u.s. and iran since the president took office. same question, but a different
11:42 pm
context. are the iranians trying to buy time? my understanding and public disclosures have the mat and the iaea report about 60% enrichment to get from 60 to 90%, which is weapon grade? grade enrichment is a very short period of time. then they would need a delivery system. so my question is this. both you and the president have been very adamant that the iranian and iranians cannot get a bomb. i agree with both of you. i'm skeptical like a lot of other people. how do you have a conversation with people that believe in a caliphate, convert, convert or die? and, you know, the notion that they've got to wipe israel and the u.s. off the map? i don't know if it's ever going to be possible to get a deal with people that have that ideology and mindset. how'd it go? >> well, well, sean, the president's message of peace through strength, it resonates
11:43 pm
throughout the world. this is i'm not this is not a threat on my part now. it is just a simple fact. the president means what he says, which is they cannot have a bomb. the conversation with the iranians will be much about two critical points. one, enrichment, as you mentioned, they do not need to enrich past 3.67%. in some circumstances. they're at 60%. in other circumstances, 20%. that cannot be. and you do not need to run as they claim, a civil nuclear program where you're enriching past 3.67%. so this is going to be much about verification on the enrichment program and then ultimately verification on weaponization. that includes missiles, the type of missiles that they have stockpiled there. and it includes the trigger for a bomb. and i think we're here to
11:44 pm
have, as the president indicated, and i take my direction from him every day that i go to work. we're here to see if we can solve this situation diplomatically and with dialog. the first meeting was positive, constructive, compelling. >> i'm a trust but verify guy. would it include steve anywhere, any place, any time? u.s. inspectors, not un inspectors. that would have to be critical. i don't trust the un. i don't think you do either. >> no. look, the devil, as you know, we've talked about this. the devil will be in the details of the of the document, and hopefully we'll have that high quality problem of getting a document drafted. but verification will be the key point that undergirds this, this agreement, if we're fortunate enough to get there and we're going to have to have very tight verification, there hasn't been much in the way of
11:45 pm
verification in the last several, several years prior to our administration. that's got to change. and if it changes, then we'll have the basis for positive talks. and if it doesn't change, then we'll have to seek alternatives, which will not be good for anybody. >> well they will they will be the masters of their own destiny. and we know what that means. they won't have refineries and they won't have nuclear sites to even talk about, if that's the path they choose. i have a very hard time trusting people that believe in a caliphate converter. die! death to israel, death to america. but with all that said, i do wish you luck. it would be great for the world, for the middle east, for peace in general, if you could, if it could be resolved with verification. steve witkoff, thank you. we appreciate your time when we come back. bernie sanders spoke at coachella. where do we show you a viral video of the day? it just gives, well, new meaning to the

11:54 pm
okay. you do dinner in a movie. the idea that they're just reducing space to some. well, i was bored, so i did space. and that is to be clear, though, what they did. listen, i'm happy for these ladies, but they didn't fly the ship. this was a completely automated mission, so it wasn't like a pioneering breakthrough. it was an expensive six flags ride. that's what we watch. whether you were a mankind or a person kind or the actor richard kind, who i love. >> thank you. i'm. i'm not giving up mankind. i refuse just just to make a point. all right, jimmy, time for our viral video of the day. take a look at your screen, jim. video obtained by. it shows four men who called themselves the cutthroat cowboys riding horses through a louisiana walmart. local police have confirmed the individuals were identified from the videos, and have been arrested and charged with entering and remaining after forbidden unlawful posting of
11:55 pm
criminal activity for publicity and notoriety, and disturbing the peace. we spoke with one of the individuals arrested who said they did not want to hurt anybody, and it was just something fun to do, and referred to the horse as his emotional support animal. well, i mean, that was a pretty good argument in my view. >> yeah, good luck getting that thing on the plane. >> listen. >> this video gives me. >> it wasn't a giraffe or elephant. >> yeah, right. this video. >> rhino. >> thank you. this video gives me closure. because now i know why i lost so much money at the horse track on saturday. all the horses were exhausted from walking the aisles of walmart, which, to be clear, okay, i spent a lot of time in the walmarts of america on the road doing comedy. this isn't a top five weird thing i've seen in a walmart. it's a funny prank. it might be a bridge too far for some animal lovers, but i'm glad everybody made it out in one piece. and you got to kind of laugh at this.
