moreover, their opinions are in tar and the obscene. they have multiple t-shirts available which express the sexual ideas in the crudest possible terms, can they do not find that offensive. but they find criticizing the president's effective deterrent to terrorism is inherently offensive? it is clear they are operating on a political agenda. maybe it is their right to do so, but the american people need to know that there are trying to -- this biggest mall company in america is trying to make their mall a libertarian zone where you cannot express these ideas. megyn: i know that you are no longer in the shopping mall. what is your plan now?
9:41 am
how are you going to make a living? >> that is the question. we are trying to keep everyone employed. freemarketwarrior.com. we are hoping to expand to the internet. we are also looking at other possible options of places where we could move. megyn: thank you for coming on and sharing your story. bill: it is a miracle on the hudson, take two. we will show you what happened when a crew hit a flock of birds and again. megyn: and there is something about bats that millions of people find creepy. i cannot imagine why. imagine working with them every day.
9:45 am
megyn: flashbacks to the miracle on the hudson after a bird strike forces and other armored into landing. an american airlines jet with 100 passengers had a large bird. passengers immediately knew something was wrong. one man said it sounded like a ton of bricks suddenly dropped on the engine, followed by the horrible smell of burning bbq. pilots were quickly able to return to the airport to get a replacement airplane. moments later they were back in the air.
9:46 am
bill: classic scene from "that man begins." our next two guests have made a living clearing out that's in your house. they call themselves the awesome critter gitters. good morning. welcome to one of the bravest new programs willing to put you on tv. which one is clinton? -- quintin? i understand business is booming this time of year. why is that? >> baby bats are being born
9:47 am
right now, and that is why we are still active. every home is different. sometimes they are in living conditions, sometimes they are in the attic. bill: i understand one time you remove the 150 bats from one home. are you making that up? >> no, it is true. the home was pretty nice, but one of them had rabies, and he landed on the man's face one night. we had to catch them all and euthenize them. bill: that is an important part of the story, too. sometimes it can be deadly if you are bitten. >> that is right. if you get rabies and you cannot know it and do not get a rabies shot, it will not be good for you.
9:48 am
you could be dead in a couple of days. bill, i discovered some things about bats that i did not know. in their calls are so small and then, you would not even feel it. you can be scratched for bid and not even know it. -- and bit and not even know it. what you recommend if you have bats in your house? >> give us a call and we will come. do not crush their circle. you need to get your babies tested first before that happens. bill, is that right? no other part? >> that is right, in the brain. bill: you do not just fight bats but all kinds of rodents and other animals.
9:49 am
how in the world did you get involved in this business? >> i have been trapping, hunting, and fishing since i was a kid. any time a relative had a problem, and they gave us a call, can we went from there. bill: love your name. this is the time in indiana. thank you. megyn: my sister called the exterminator, and he was hot and she did not want him to succeed. the images are indisputable. members of the black panther party holding nightsticks standing outside the polling place. a little intimidating? 1 the justice department had decided to drop the case against them.
9:50 am
9:53 am
megyn: it was a shocking image of possible voter intimidation. three members of the new black panther party pacing of time and day philadelphia a polling station on election day. no worse for them today because the justice department had decided to drop a civil complaint against them. now we find out exactly who made the decision. eric sean has that in our ongoing series into the voter fraud. give us the details of what happened. >> was shocking.
9:54 am
you had those three members of the new black panther party. they've returned with coercion, motor intimidation, allegedly hurling racial slurs. one of them was a minister, and they said that he was holding a night stick as he said there. so the justice department under the bush administration brought voter intimidation charges against them, but the obama administration dropped the charges. critics have said that they are trying to protect the party. one new york activists called it the most egregious example of voter intimidation he had seen, and he was in the south in the 1960's. today, reports say that the decision came from career lawyers in the justice department, and was approved by
9:55 am
the attorney general. so quite a controversy brewing over this decision. megyn: do we know why? >> when we reported, they say that they felt justice was served. under an injunction, he is no longer allowed to carry a weapon within 100 feet of a polling place. this morning, the justice department has reacted to that claim, saying that it is distorting the decision making process. congressman frank wolf of virginia wants an investigation. he will be demanding that congress gets to the bottom of this to see if the administration is covering anything up. megyn: thank you very much. bill: remember the $787 billion
9:56 am
stimulus package? turned out it is stimulating some things. we warn you, this is a segment that will have you talking. megyn: did the police plot to falsely accuse a woman after one police officer rear end of her vehicle? this is unbelievable videotape. nothing beats walmart's unbeatable prices... but now they have new areas where i can find the brands i use every day-- and save even more. so that's what they mean by unbeatable. save money. live better. walmart.
9:58 am
so twhat heals me?y mean by unbeatable. girls' night out. and for damage from acid reflux disease, my nexium. announcer: for many, one prescription nexium pill a day can heal damage to the esophagus that acid reflux disease may cause over time. and nexium can provide 24-hour heartburn relief. headache, diarrhea, and abdominal pain are possible side effects of nexium and other serious stomach conditions may still exist. announcer: ask your doctor about the healing purple pill. learn how you can save online. if you can't afford your medication, astrazeneca may be able to help.
9:59 am
10:00 am
apparently he is not a fan of this plan. we are watching this and listening to it. when the doctor begins, we will bring it to you. countdown to the beer bash at the white house. today the president, professor, and police officer will set down and have a few cold ones, attempting to talk about this issue. [captioning made possible by fox news channel] captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- bill: good morning. it is happy hour somewhere. the so-called birsebeer summit s in the hours. it turned out some of the domestic companies are getting hopping mad. get it?
10:01 am
megyn: mike emanuel is at the white house. let us get to the important thing at hand. what are they planning to drink, and how is this angering u.s. producers? >> they may be drinking red stripe. we expect the police officer drank blue moon who has its majority stake from london. now other american brewers are asking, what about american beer? megyn: shouldn't these men be allowed to drink what they want without bus criticizing? what about the people showing up. is it just the officer and sergeant? >> we expect them to bring some
10:02 am
family members. we believe they could get a court. sgt crowley may also bring a police official and an attorney with him as well. the washington says, the more the merrier. net income of all indications are that these are strong personalities. any chance that this thing could go south? do we enter the -- anticipate beers and fun? >> by believe president obama will try to keep it as a diplomatic as possible, but sgt crowley says basically that he believes they will agree to disagree. i do not think the professor will apologize. it could be a potentially explosive situation. megyn: really -- professor gates thinks he is
10:03 am
getting an apology? did he get sound bites from the sergeant saying that he would not? >> that is what he said. he expects an apology. megyn: this just got more interesting. we are counting down to the beer summit. bill: wine drinwhy drink bud lin you can have budweiser? megyn: let him drink what he wants. bill: the woman who called on professor gates has spoken out. she is sick and tired of being called a racist. she spoke to reporters yesterday afternoon and appeared to contradict part of officer crowley's police report. >> as i said, the only words i
10:04 am
exchanged was i was the 911 collar, and he said, stay right there. nothing more. bill: she did not get an invitation. despite the media frenzy, she said that she did not regret making that phone call. megyn: she was so emotional during the press conference. and guess who represents her, wendy murphy, who you know from this program. when president obama meets with professor gates and target crowley, we now know what the year they will be drinking. could we spend more time on this? we also know that they will be sitting on a special picnic table. very fancy. it has bronze plaques containing the names of all presidents. it arrived at the white house on march 4. so where exactly will these
10:05 am
three men be sitting when they go to that table? we are investigating, because you asked. [laughter] it is a big decision for the president. do they sit on the same side? bill: we have something to talk about tomorrow. a handful of blue dog democrats now in a tug of war for health care reform. they gained a bit of ground. moderate to winning a few concessions about cutting the cost of the plan, especially when it comes to small business. the deal is not going down well with those on the far left. james rosen is with us this morning. we should know, not all blue dogs are on the leash.
10:06 am
there are over 50 of them, and they were able to win over a few of them. >> first of all, i love to cover this group because of the wonderful canine metaphors that are possible. there are 52 members of this democratic blue dog coalition. there are seven on the keypad on that announce this agreement. but only four of those seven went along with it. later on, the entire group issued a statement through the chairwoman and said, the 52 member coalition has not taken a group position. she goes on to say --
10:07 am
that could mean that even after the committee marks up this version, a third version will come to the house and it will all need to be reconciled. we could see a blizzard of amendments. that is not related to canines, but i hope it works. bill: some remaining objections on the henry waxman deal that the blue dogs do not like. is there more than one? >> yes, there is more than one. pa even though they were able to get 100 billion off of the price tag, some say that they could have identified more savings. there is also questioned about the public health option. questions about how the elderly will be treated in this. there is no final draft yet. there is an assessment from the
10:08 am
cbo, which has been neutral on buyer in all of this. here's how one of the members expressed his dissatisfaction. >> the majority of blue dogs think this bill is not the best that we can get, and we would like to keep on trying. hopefully, we can come up with a bill soon. >> as evidence of the problem that henry waxman still faces, he was supposed to begin supposed to start marking up yesterday at 4:00. it was canceled altogether, so we will see if it occurs today. bill: thank you. megyn: speaking about health care, a neophyte in washington over this -- republicans called it a road map to understanding the democrats' health care plan, and they want to share it with you.
10:09 am
why the democrats are saying no. bill: and a woman handcuffed by police for driving drunk. some believe the police should be the ones and the handcuffs. we have some stunning videotape. you can determine the police should be punished for this. megyn: and this performance is sponsored by the general public. how your tax dollars are funding porn. perverts put out. fis what i need

10:13 am
talked about before. we are going to give you more update from the white house about what we are learning how things are coming together. we also mentioned we keep a close eye on barack obama's personal doctor who treated him for 20 years in chicago. he was going to make a statement about why he disagrees with the health care proposal on the table now. he believes the government plan should be the option. when he speaks, we will let you know. megyn: we all pay $787 billion in taxpayer money for that massive stimulus package that was supposed to create jobs. it turned out, the national endowment for the arts is getting a rather big piece of the pie, and it is going to things like the arts.
10:14 am
wait until you see what the arts are. perverts put out. picture your taxpayer dollars hard at work. $50,000 of public money going to another theater that promises this movie. the movie is so offensive, we could barely find anything suitable in the trailer to air on television. and we cannot even air the audio. so what else are they doing with your money, and how is this creating jobs? we have a republican from florida. he is a longtime critic of the nea, i assume for things like this. >> they have a long history of the fence of art. we were successful in cutting back their spending, but with
10:15 am
the democrats, that spending has increased. for them to get a $50 million grant through stimulus to use this for hundreds and hundreds of earmarks for not-for-profit organizations, particularly in san and cisco, where it is in decent part is being displayed in live performances and movies -- these are not just kinky movies, but they are horror movies involving animals and the reprehensible ness of the national endowment for the art for doing this cannot be emphasized strongly enough. their history has shown -- and they have told us they would stop this -- but to see that they're continuing this offensive art is outrageous. megyn: you did not overstate the case. that one video that we showed,
10:16 am
$25,000 of taxpayer money went to the sand dunes as go cinema tech which is the place where they are showing this film. this is how they describe it. kinky art porno. that is what $25,000 of our taxpayer money is paying for? then there is more money going to asymmetry project where couples are mounted on each other in various poses. i think americans would have a problem in telling that their taxpayer dollars are being funneled to support such causes. what can be done? >> lot of things. we can reduce nea funding. all of these projects are in speaker pelosi's district. i intend to write some letters
10:17 am
to her and to get blue dog members to consider some of these projects being funded in her district and try to curb them from trying to award these types of offensive fundings to the organization. megyn: what happens with respect to joe biden? he was to be overseeing this. president obama promised. here is what the president said. >> that is why i have asked vice-president biden to hold a tough oversight effort. nobody messes with joe. megyn: there you have it. he is going to watch the stimulus dollars. congressman, does anyone care about this? is there any moral component to where they go and where they do not?
10:18 am
>> it does not. he is not the one watching. he has a lot of different engagements that he is involved in with foreign policy. the president thinks that joe biden is going to watch this is a tremendous joke. i think he would be foolish to continue to have these types of projects continue to be funded. they are not only to antithetical to american values, but they are reprehensible. any american who realized that taxpayer money was going to send a disco would be outraged. megyn: the nea said that they gave funding to people who already were given money in the past, and they do cocontend that it did provide jobs for individuals in the area. >> we do not want to promote jobs in kinky or pornographic
10:19 am
films. that is not the purpose. we are looking at long-term, lasting jobs. not funding groups that are really destroying the culture of this country. megyn: thank you for coming on the show. we appreciate it. bill: one voice and health care debate that you have not heard. medical students are committing years of their lives and tens of thousands of dollars to work in health care. what would an overhaul mean for their livelihood and future patients? megyn: and this woman had her vehicle rented by iran -- that a red light by a police car. what the dashcam video and audio show that has police in hot water. >> we are going to spin this a bit because she is drunk.
10:21 am

10:23 am
bill: welcome back. this is a fox news alert. unemployment claims rising more than expected. they were up 25,000, seasonally adjusted, 584,000. that is above projections. on employment reached 9.4% in june and is expected to exceed 10%. in the meantime, small businesses are the backbone of our economy. never% 99.7% of all employer firms -- they represent 99.7% of
10:24 am
all employer firms. one company specializes in labor for construction, industrial, and landscaping in cleanup jobs, and often provide same-day service. it also prescreens applicants and takes care of all payroll costs. the owner tells us so many people are applying, they are having to turn people away. we are live in the company's office in denver. >> good morning, and yes, he has been here in the city for 25 years. lately, things have been on a backslide. they usually have a 30% growth rate every year, but things started to go back. can you tell me about the range of applicants walking in? >> we're getting everyone from
10:26 am
10:27 am
manager here. what does this mean? we have seen our market share to increase in the store and on the website. >> are they buying the products? i think that builders' sales definitely took a hit because of the housing market. we sought a bit of a dip in math, but we have seen more consistent purchases. each ticket is probably less money. people spending more on warranties. >> does it get better in the next six months? is recovering coming?
10:28 am
there is a little more consumer confidence. more people coming in the door. >> iç found this nice one for you. it is read. it looks beautiful. megyn: that is nothing. spicing it up with a bit of color. as soon as i start cooking, i'm going to call abt. bill: what is the time frame on that? megyn: in our defense, we actually had a dinner party last night, but doug did the cooking. i was in there telling him that he was hot.
10:29 am
[laughter] çbill, that way he keeps on cooking. -- bill: that way he keeps on cooking. megyn: i made a salad. it was a police car collision. what they did after the crash to this woman may land them behind bars. the entire thing is on tape with audio. you will not believe the story. bill: and what do today's medical students think about president obama's plans to overhaul medicare? >> good morning. emory university, one of the nation's leading medical schools. we thought it would be fun to assemble some of these medical students to get their thoughts on medical reform. gecko vo: geico's the third-largest car insurance company in the nation. but, it's not like we're kicking back, now, havin' a cuppa tea. gecko vo: takes lots of sweat to become that big. gecko vo: 'course, geckos don't literally sweat...
10:30 am
it's just not our thing... gecko vo: ...but i do work hard, mind you. gecko vo: first rule of "hard work equals success." gecko vo: that's why geico is consistently rated excellent or better in terms of financial strength. gecko vo: second rule: "don't steal a coworker's egg salad, 'specially if it's marked "the gecko." come on people.
10:33 am
megyn: welcome back. getting more details on what we reported last hour. michael jackson's former wife debbie rowe has apparently reached an agreement with katherine jackson on custody of the children. debbie rowe will not get custody of the children. katherine jackson will have custody, but debbie rowe will have visitation of the two children. she will have visitation with
10:34 am
them, and the children will get the help of a psychologist who is supposed to help them adjust to debbie rowe free integrating into their lives. we are told she will not get any money and that she will maintain her parental rights such as they are. that is reportedly the deal. that is from online sources, so we are working to confirm that. bill carter early on, reports suggested that she would be happy with $3 million. megyn: she already got $8 million. first, she paid for giving up custody, and then he paid her again during the molestation case. now she is not getting any money, just visitation. bill: she is the mother. megyn: in a manner of speaking. bill: health care making its way
10:35 am
through congress. the consequences0will be faced by the next generation of doctors. so, what do the doctors of tomorrow think about what they are hearing today? this is a segment we have been looking forward to all morning. we are at emory university with medical students on what they are hearing. >> emory university is one of the nation's leading medical schools, and he's our future doctors. health care reform will affect them, and they may have fresh insight on how it will affect you. i want to start with a general poll, show of hands, does health care need reform? >> it is unanimous. let me start with christina, a third year medical student. ç>> yes, i may third year resident. i am in the trenches with uninsured patients every day.
10:36 am
i see the struggle they face. it is about access and affordability. i can diagnose and illness, but if they tell me that they cannot afford the medication, what have i done for my patient? >> we have two people in a position as system program. -- physician assistant program. let me start with you, elisabeth. >> i am passionate about been leveled providers. there are often the answer to increasing accessibility. we desire to be part of a physician team and use the synergy that can be created by putting multiple groups together. really just making health care that is quality, affordable. we are ready to help. >> colin, we are going to see
10:37 am
more folks like you in the future? >> i hope so. we plan to continue to grow. that will provide more care for people who do not have care right now. the more people you can get together, the last testing happens, and we will be able to serve our patients correctly. >> you are a second year student. are these exciting or scary times to be training to be a doctor? >> very exciting. all the people in my class came from medical school in order to help people. health care reform under way will allow us to help more people. it is based on quality, not quantity. >> you are different from your colleagues. you are a ph.d. student studying health care policy. there has been a lot of debate, public versus private insurers,
10:38 am
or a hybrid system. what are your thoughts on what would work best? >> it is really about the affordability and protections that are in the insurance, so with the devil is in the details. it depends on whether the public auction is included. a lot of it depends on how the interest is structured. some are talking about putting private insurance and there and that can go a long way. that would include no pre- existing conditions, exclusions. i will say, there needs to be changed. insurance has a couple of major functions. is a gateway for access and provide protection, but for instance, right now it is not doing either particularly well. >> and you are a third year medical student. what are your biggest concerns when it comes to reform?
10:39 am
>> probably patient perception around reform. there is a lot of misinformation out there. çpeople are worried the government will interfere with the doctor-patient relationship. i think as we work to reform the system, we always need to keep that autonomy, and that relationship as a priority. >> is it safe to say that you are all cautiously optimistic, enthusiastic? what would you say? >> enthusiastic. >> thank you. thank you for your time. we will be speaking to these students all afternoon. bill: let me just pick up on that last comment from that woman on the far left. she said, make sure the autonomy is preserved between the doctor and patients. are all of you in consensua? making sure the government does not get in between the person
10:40 am
that you are seeing? >> part of what makes demolition ship so sacred is that it is a trust between -- makes that relationship so sacred is that it is about trust between the person and their doctor. when you change that, it can be scary for the person to be honest with their doctor. what ever system, we want to preserve that. bill, thank you for your input. -- bill: thank you for your input. see you later in the afternoon. megyn: this woman had a collision with a police car. but what police did at the scene of the accident could land them behind bars. we will tell you why. oyoñ

10:44 am
megyn:, kelly's court is back in session. cops, collusion, and a story that can land four officers behind bars. alexandra villa's car was hit from behind by policemen. she then tells the policemen that she had a few drinks. he then charges her with dui. fine. çáhen he takes a step further, concocting his cover up story along with his buddies. the conversation about what they were going to do with this collision, and how they were going to blame it on her, was caught by the dashcam, while she was handcuffed in the backseat. >> we have to spin this a little bit. it is what it is.
10:45 am
>>ç i do not want to make thins up, ever, because it is wrong, but if it is protecting a cop -- see the way that her car is? i am going to word it that she was in the left-hand lane, and when a cat jumped out, she was forced to pull over. megyn: charges have been dropped and prosecutors are determining whether to sue the police officers. the police department is also considering firing them. let me bring in the panel now. good morning. no one disputes, this is bad, this is wrong. >> beyond bad. megyn: so we are on the same
10:46 am
page, so first, someone has to defend them. should they be criminally charged? should they be fired? and were the police right, was çthe d.a. right to drop the charges? she admitted that she was drunk. these guys are facing potentially criminal charges. should it happen? >> absolutely. who should represent them? it willç not be me, based on wt i will tell you. they did not just compromise the dui investigation, but every case they are involved in now. the prosecutor has cases and there are 27 cases involving these officers. those are gone because these individuals will be fired. this is a third degree felony that they should be charged for.
10:47 am
those cases are going to be thrown out. a lot of guilty folks are going to walk. yes, i am a criminal defense lawyer. these police are not going to be able to testify. megyn: is that taking it beyond where we should be? >> he is a gifted advocate, but i do not necessarily agree. police officers have to be above suspicion. we give them our public trust. the public trust. it is reprehensible and disgusting. before they get the lethal injection, let me try to moderate this with a bit of perspective. number one, four police officer3 they are individuals. treat them as such.
10:48 am
the videotape is very incriminating, i agree. but look at each individual background and patterns. most of these people have been on the job for over 20 years. they are getting close to retirement. yes, they will probably lose their jobs. they may lose their pension. you want to put them in jail for decades now? what they did is bad enough. >> please. >> you are a criminal defense attorney, it should resonate with you. >> you are right. the bond hearing judge, when deciding to hear what charges they need to be tried on, he reads the arrest affidavit. everyone in the court room me to the arrest affidavit. it affects all criminal cases. if we say it is ok, we are going to let you go with losing your
10:49 am
job -- megyn: nobody is saying it is ok. isn't there something in between decades inç prison, as some have suggested, and just letting them go? what about the fact that they dropped the charges against these women -- this woman. apparently she blew above the legal level. >> let us really take a look at çthis. who really wants them to spend decades in prison? megyn: you want felony charges against them? >> they committed perjury. they lied in an arrest affidavit. i am not making this up. they did not lie to their bosses. they lied on an official document. there are 27 other cases where
10:50 am
the defense will be able to let them walk. >> of course this is not a good thing. the real problem here -- and going back to your point, it does taint those other cases. if you are a criminal attorney in florida now, you are looking at this and hoping that one of the officers is attached to your case. if so, you would go to the prosecutor asked for them to drop the charges. megyn: thank you. these policemen are in big trouble, as they should be. we will be right back. . bill: a fox news alert. we're getting videotape from pennsylvania. çthere was a fierce storm that rolled through yesterday. we are now seeing the damage. a tornado out to be an ef2.
10:51 am
