vacation weekends of the summer. one of the states being hit forces of massachusetts. resident obama is traveling there tomorrow with his family. the obama specification on barthes vineyard. so far the white house has not said whether the hurricanes will affect their plans. our dominica davis follows the story for us and she joins us from the fox weather center. >> the surface been up all day. not only for the cape cod beaches, but all the way down to florida. flagler beach. they're looking at high surf. up and down the eastern seaboard it has been a bad beach day unfortunately. we're looking at hurricane bill right now on the satellite and it is starting to make that northeasterly turn which means it will pass several hundred miles to the east of cape cod and the islands, but it will be the closest path to the u.s. and too close for comfort because as you mentioned, those surf will only get higher and the rip currents will become worse before it gets better by tomorrow. later tonight the storm will make a pass just to the east. it's about 300 miles to the

south of nantucket. has been downgraded in the last advisory to a category one, 85 mph. still hang onto category one status tomorrow, then we should see this diminish some as it passes by nova scotia. the good thing is we're not going to be looking at strong wind gusts. he could see wind gusts upwards of 35-50 mph, but that would be the biggest concern. it will be the rough surf were dealing with over the next 24 hours. we have a few ray bans moving in. you will see some heavy showers go across the cape and the islands, mainly through the overnight and tomorrow morning. we're also dealing with a cold front that has been keeping bill off to the east and that's good news. but those showers and thunderstorms from the cold front are playing a factor in all of this and it is making for flooding concerns up and down the coast. our tropical storm warnings are still in effect and will be until tomorrow for the cape in the islands. we will keep you posted. you and thank you very much. our own robert rivera will bring you the latest on hurricane bill

caroline shively is live in washington tonight, with the very latest. >> president obama and congressman price also spoke about government run healthcare also known as the public insurance option. absolutely one of the most controversial parts of reform. so far the thinking has been as members in the house like the idea, but it is not getting through the senate. now two top house democrats seem to agree on whether or not it's a must-have. speaker pelosi said the house would not pass reform without it. and she has support among the rank-and-file liberals. liberal groups have raised more than $325,000 for five dozen house democrats who vow to support the plan. this into pelosi followed by steny hoyer said he backs the idea but he also wants to get a bill that will pass. mcnamee said another way. there's a lack of passed a bill and house of representatives of the public option or it. >> we believe the public option is a necessary, useful and very important aspect of this.

eric, last weekend we broke the news on "the fox report" that the white house is blaming the thick of it third party for this unsolicited e-mails and it wasn't responsible for the mixup what, if anything, does the white house giving a. >> that's a different story from what the white house is saying now is apparently taxpayer money may have gone to help support these e-mails. the white house confirming to "fox news" that used a private government contractor to send e-mails out. that government contractors called up delivery.com. it's a minnesota-based company that sends out e-mails for federal, state, and local government agencies. by my count at least 11 cabinet agencies that work with including dod, state, justice. work with the fbi, the atf, the irs -- i could not find whether they represent the executive office of the president, white house, the white house said they were hired after january 1 before jen returned it two -- june 20 to send out e-mail. in other words the white house is admitting to use this company to send out e-mail.
