[captioning made possible by fox news channel] captioned by the national captioning institute --www.ncicap.org-- sean: tonight. >> he was going to get in the way of the president. sean: van jones quits. >> we have been watching him, really, he is not that over for as long as he has been active. sean: proof that the white house knew about his radical history all along. on the eve of president obama's major health care speech, big questions still remain. the reverend wright shares his thoughts on health-care reform. land of the czars returns. >> i am here because i want to talk to you about your
12:01 am
education. sean: the president takes his message about education to your kids. all of that plus michael steele, alexis glick, and dana perino. "hannity" starts right now. the green jobs czar van jones stepped down. it could be that these absolutely overlooked, but that is not the case. van jones signifies the radicalism of this administration, and he was appointed to his position because of his radical beliefs. the white house itself has testified to that fact. just last month, senior white house advisory valerie jarrett told how long she had been watching an admiring van jones. let's take a look. >> we have been watching him really for as long as he has been active and for all of the
12:02 am
creative ideas that he has, so now, we have captured that, and we have the energy and enthusiasm in the white house. sean: so the white house sought out van jones? is he the tip of the iceberg? we know there is the science and technology adviser who has advocated compulsory abortion, and then there is a law professor who wants to ban hunting and grant rights to livestock, animals, and pets. it is time to take a much closer look at who this president has now serving in our government. and joining me now to discuss all of this, the chairman of the gop, michael steele. michael, it raises so many different questions. let me get your initial thoughts about what happened with van jones, and i want to talk specifically about whether or not you think there are people that should be fired in this
12:03 am
administration, but your thoughts on him first. >> i think the van jones case, we just do not know, sean, that much about them, but what we are beginning to understand is that there is at least an intellectual link between these individuals and the president of the united states, which goes back to what i was saying since 2008, which is we do not know what his philosophical grounding is, so when this pops up, all of a sudden, you are like, when a minute. this guy was an avowed communist. he signed a petition. is the president in bed with this? what i think the washington press corps needs to do right now is ask one question. mr. president, did you or did you not agree with what mr. van jones articulate it and stood for? that begins to open up a number of doors in understanding why the west of this is -- rest of this is. sean: we have spent a long time on this program talking about
12:04 am
the history of the obama radicalism, including the reverend wright and others. i was beaten up for it. >> you were that, there is no doubt, you were that, but you did your homework. you said, all right, fine. let's see what the philosophical orientation of the man who wants to be president is, because that is what we have done with every other president. we have some ground in there. sean: now that that is set up, the history of radicalism, barrackthere is a group of other people. there is a guy that was talking about whether or not our government was responsible or knew about 9/11. the day after 9/11, he goes on to support solidarity for, you know, for those who are victims of american imperialism, and then let's roll the video tape of van jones talking on two separate issues on race issues.
12:05 am
>> you have never seen a columbine done by a black child. never. they always say, "we cannot believe it happened here. we cannot believe it is the suburban white kids. it is only them. >> wait a minute. -- wait a minute. you are regulating, and you are not regulating, and the white environmentalists are basically steering poisons into the people of color community because they do not have a justice. sean: is it possible they did not know? is it possible? >> no, they knew, and this was, again, like the other czars that you have reference, this is a philosophy that the president is bringing to the administration. i think congressman mike pence said it best this recently when he talked about having individuals who are in these
12:06 am
roles scrutinized under the cabinet process of government to make sure that we understand fully where they are coming from and whether or not these are the believes and the ideologies that makes sense for our country. sean: see, i think the issue of the president's entire credibility is at stake here, because when the issue of the reverend jeremiah wright came up during the debate with john mccain, he said they would check in with joe biden and others, a very mainstream people, and here is the question i have. when you have eric holder, his science adviser, who spoke out for sterilization, and you have another m&a says the u.s. should follow sharia law in some cases, -- and you have another guy, and then you have cass sunstein -- sustein who talks about giving rights to animals, is he giving
12:07 am
a more moderate face to the american people but in reality, he is a radical himself? >> i think that there is this moderate picture, and tomorrow night in the speech, you are going to hear a very moderate speech which conservative under turns to it to try to continue that image. -- conservative undertones in it. if this is the standard, then you are explaining a lot by not saying anything. in other words, we understand exactly what you're thinking because it is reflected in the right things and the words and the utterances of the very individuals you brought into your cabinet, if you brought into your inner circle in the west wing as czars, so my question becomes, do you agree with the philosophy that calls for, you know, mandatory abortions? do you agree with the philosophy that says what van jones said,
12:08 am
that columbine was basically a white thing? do you agree with all of this, and if you do, that tells us something, and if you do not, then what are you bringing these people into your circle? sean: the other people that i mentioned, that a pretty radical views, that you think as chairman of the rnc that you think that should be removed or removed immediately, or that you what investigations into? >> i think quite frankly that the situation with van jones has elevated to the level that it has with all of these czars. every last one of them should go through a vetting process that is complete and that advised the advise and consent function of the united states senate. these are individuals, sean, who are now riding the policies for our secretaries to formally wrote them to execute, so you have now created and inserted all whole new level of government here in a process that i think needs a little bit
12:09 am
more scrutiny that it has been given, and it says about what the administration talked about at the beginning, not for good though. sean: we have a lot more to come. michael, thank you for being with us. we appreciate it. a lot more on this coming up in the program, and the reverend wright is back. wait until you see that video. and so much for bipartisanship. and of course, we are watching the tea party express a leading up to the march in d.c. over $5. don't throw it away. protect it in the freezer. ziploc freezer bags form a fresh shield... that saves food from freezer burn, saving you money. s.c. johnson, a family company.

plumber, and here is what he had to say. obama care. what do you think that is going to mean for america? >> ultimately, it is going to mean higher taxes. i have looked at the facts and the bill myself, all 1060 pages of it, and it will raise taxes, without a doubt. >> do you believe this is socialism? >> the constitution has been ignored for a very long time now. nowhere in the constitution are we supposed to be bailing anybody out. i am sorry, but if your company is failing, that is because you mismanaged it. if you want help, get the government out of your business. that is what it comes to. >> ♪ god bless america my home sweet home ♪ >> you have to say, this is a political movement. that is it from here.

they are saying "kill the bill." sean: and some great singing. tomorrow, president obama will talk about health care of before a joint session of congress, and many of the details are being ironed out, but the question is, is the public option in or out? joining us is alexis glick and dana perino. first of all, the fact that the president now has repackaged this, what? one dozen times? is this an admission of failure? incompetence? desperation? what do you think? >> they definitely have to reclaim the debate, but he was still responding to arguments from eight weeks ago, so how can you be claimed the debate if you are still arguing from the past? i am stunned because it seems to me that they called this joint

session of congress before they knew what his policy was and before they knew what he would say. maybe tomorrow night, we are going to be totally shocked, and we will say, "oh, my gosh, why have we not been following along?" sean: they were talking about this trigger, and nancy pelosi was talking about it, and does that cover for the democrats to vote for the public option and give them some political cover? >> it is like a slap on the wrist if you are an insurance company. if you do not step up and meet the guidelines, x, y, z, then you're going to be penalized. i think what we need to be focusing on is the planet from max baucus, which seems to have some bipartisan support. he is trying to garner as much bipartisan support by tomorrow morning so he can deliver it to be present before the joint session. i have been saying, why are we not talking about selling
12:18 am
insurance across state lines? why are we not talking about more competition? across the board, there are concessions on both sides of the aisle. sean: let me throw this out at you. >> there are some. sean: we had 23 democrats that went home over the summer and told their constituents that they are not opposing this. if they lose 38, they lose in the house. in fact, they are literally talking about at this point fines proposed up to $3,000 per person. >> for not getting health insurance. -- $3,800. >> what i think if you will see a lot of jilted democratic lovers. let me tell you what i think that. when a woman is dating a man for a really long time, he says he loves her, but he just will not
