become one very big deal. because wilson shouted them at the president. during his speech on health care, to a joint session of congress. the uproar over his comment on wednesday sparking strong reaction from both sides of the political aisle, to some of the right, well, wilson has taken on a sort of folk-like hero status for changing the president and meanwhile, others on the left, well, they're vowing to keep him from winning reelection this year, so, today, wilson sat down from the interview fox news sunday and the congressman addressing new found fame or infamy, depending who you ask. >> i have been financial democrats by moveon.org, been named the number one target for the election next year, so, i am-- i appreciate the overwhelming response from people on to be involved and i will not be muzzled. i'm going to be speaking on behalf of the american people, but i will be doing it civilly. but that's not all, he said. wilson made another promise. caroline shively with that from

>> now for an update on a story we brought you on the fox report last night. t the found dead before he was set to serve prison time. they found drugs in the vehicle in which christopher kelly was discovered, lying unresponsive. earlier today, the mayor after chicago suburb claimed that after kelly arrived at the hospital he told police officers that he had overdosed so he was conscious when he got to the hospital. he the medical examiner's office saying it will take weeks for toxicology test toss determine a cause of death. kelly was a key figure in the federal corporation investigation that brought blagojevich down and earlier this week he pleaded guilty to a kickback scheme in another federal case and set to begin prison term on friday and kelly and blagojevich were charged in the same indictment, prosecutors

allegedly they were going to try to sell or trade president obama's former seat on the u.s. senate. blagojevich denies wrongdoing. a massive manhunt for an escaped killer in louisiana. 44-year-old henry smith walked off a state penitentiary prison farm where he worked picking up trash. he was sentence today life for second degree murder, but he was a so-called trustee, meaning he wasn't always guarded. right now, law enforcement are searching the rugged louisiana hills, as well as the banks of the nearby mississippi river. that's about 50 miles from baton rouge. investigators say they have a good lead, but not making it public for fear it could jeopardize the search. she was suppose today get married today, supposed to be the day of her dreams, and now, authorities, well, they are extending their search for the yale graduate student who went missing just days before her wedding. her name is annie le. last seen on tuesday entering a laboratory building left on campus, we're told many students

are shocked by her disappearance. >> i feel really bad and i hope that they found her. >> i was thinking about what could have happened, and all the horrible things that was just sort of like, i don't want to think about this until something more comes to light. >> you're looking at brand new video now of police and dogs searching at yale university in new haven. this, as the fbi says investigators have extended the search north to the state capital of hartford and specifically, to an incinerator. our rick leventhal is in new haven with the story and joist us with the latest, hi, rick. >> trash from this building in new haven is taken to harvard to be incinerated and since this was where annie le was last seen, it only makes sense to follow the possible trail here to the insen rater and been there since late saturday night. state, local authorities many wearing hazmat suits and sifting through the garbage looking for

possible leads and so far we're told they haven't found anything, but earlier today the major crimes unit for the connecticut state police did arrive on scene that. was this afternoon. meanwhile, the new haven police confirming to us this morning that bloody clothes with found inside the building over the weekend. those clothes are now being examined to determine whether or not there's any connection between those bloody clothes and annie le, but earlier today a local newspaper is reporting that in fact the investigators told them that the clothes do not match what annie le was last seen wearing. in fact, more than 100 investigators are working on this case, we've seen many of them throughout the day and the evening, moving in and out and around this building, and many cases around the back side of the building where the basement entrance is, some of those officers, k-9 officers with dogs. one thing they're also doing, reexamining the surveillance footage of some 75 cameras posted in and around this building and the adjacent parking garage. we know there are images of annie arriving at the building tuesday morning, there are no

images we're told of her leaving so they're bgoing back through the video frame by frame to make sure they didn't miss anything. they questioned the professor who canceled his class, the class that annie was suppose today attend on the day she disappeared, but also say they questioned dozens of others here on campus and so far do not even know if a crime was committed. in the meantime, le's family we're told is now here in new haven on a day that was supposed to be the happiest of her life, their wedding day, all they have is sadness and deepening mystery as to her whereabouts. >> julie: rick leventhal, thank you. a coast guard helicopter on routine flight in texas at the right place at the right time. take a look at the video. the choppers crew spotting smoke billowing over a boat, a missing boat on fire. they see two men in a life boat next to the burning vessel. a rescue swimmer drops into the water and after assessing the

hunt for an unusual bank robber, the suspect described as a man in his 80's using an oxygen tank. tellers say he walked in, he even had a note demanding money and after he got cash we're told he walked off and took his oxygen tank with him, we assume. cops say he's 6-4 with liver spots. that's all we know about him. anyone with information should of course call san diego police for tips. the first round of h1n1 flu vaccinations could begin sooner than expected we're told perhaps as early as the first week of november-- october, rather, that according to our nation's health secretary inteel sebelius today. they'll go to health care workers and other priority groups. sebelius says the bulk of the vaccine will be distributed across the country, mid october and also confident the vaccine will be available early enough to beat the peak of this year's flu season. well, it remains to be seen whether president obama won the

thousands of other homes from the gulf coast up to houston, 50 miles inland, also not escaped ike's wrath, but galveston alone suffered a 3.2 billion dollars in damage, by the time it blew out of texas ike had become the state's most disaster ever. you can't put a price on life. that's what ike took, 37 lives total in texas alone and in total is blamed for 72 deaths in the u.s. but from the ruins, a mission to rebuild and galveston, well, just one of the communities showing a spirit. no hurricane force winds or storm surges can rip apart. >> we have a long way to go, most every, to get to where we were pre-ike however, we've made giant steps. >> galveston is made up of people, it's not of the property that's here, and the people are still here. and the people are still hard at work, and i just think it's going to come back better than

ev ev ever. >> julie: the mayor of galveston, with us now on the phone. thank you so much mayor thomas for talking to us. >> you're welcome. >> julie: galveston suffered 3.2 billion dollars in damage, that's a lot of damage. how do you recover from that and have you? >> well, we're on the road to recovery. we probably have a one to five year and maybe longer to get back to where we were, but how we recover has to do with several things, number one, government money, the help that we've gotten from our legislators both here in texas and in washington and fema, which is slow, but it will get here? have you gotten the money you were promised? >> we're getting it. >> julie: you haven't gotten it all one year later, huh? >> no, it takes a long time. the fema's done, did a good job in the month of the storm, but when they start dealing with citizens, very frustrating process and many of our citizens

are still waiting for help from fema. >> julie: wow. >> and we are, too, the city is, too, but my concern-- the city will make it, my concern is for the citizens, we've got about 3000 citizens still trying to get back here on the island and back into their homes, a way to go. >> julie: let's talk more about the citizens you speak of. 75% of people's homes were damaged 75%. what percentage will be rebuilding do you estimate? >> ray don't know, i would say we're maybe halfway back, we've had a lot of volunteers from all offer the country, church groups, who actually doing the work, the hammer, the nail shall the painting, for many of our citizens. i can't, i really don't know the exact percentage, i could just tell that you every day a little more gets done and a few more people get moved back into their houses. >> julie: and something disturbing, the citizens of galveston as you know, had their

lives literally turned upside down one year ago and many say they're victimized all over again because crime, i understand, has skyrocketed according to some reports, up 55% from where it was last year. >> well, that's-- i'm not sure that number, but it may be that-- what happens after any catastrophic event, storm chasers come into the cities from all over the place and we have contractors that we have, laborers and strangers on the island and they do take advantage of our citizens who are distressed. a lot of the crime, i believe, is breaking into cars and some homes, but it's more, it's more auto theft, you know, stealing things out of grocery stores and they do get into the houses. we've got our police, are watching every minute, but we have a lot of strangers in town

in the summertime you don't need a name to cause a lot of rain. people in the mid atlantic coast know what just happened and a tropical cyclone with no name the other day and you could see the spinning going on, and what we're getting here is a lot of gulf moisture rotating across north central texas and it's not going anywhere quickly. this whole situation is going to oscillate slowly off to the east here and it's interesting, now, i lived in texas for four years and i've always backed down there. there's no mid ground in texas, hammered or in a drought one or the other and folks in texas know that and are use today that situation, but this will move off to the east and you folks in the southeast have to prepare for rain and we may see a tropical difficult off the coast of florida, but have to see how it goes. a lot of rain on the way the next couple of days. >> julie: joe, thank you, very, very much, from accu-weather. the obama administration reportedly wants to give more rights to prisoners being held in afghanistan. the u.s. military is holding
