much spending, spending of $2 trillion worth. the white house is saying effectively that we're making a mountain out of a molehill and those who focus on this sort of thing are. why do we call them czars anyway? like i said, it didn't work out for the last ones. here's glenn. [captioning made possible by fox news channel] captioned by the national captioning institute ---www.ncicap.org---^ glenn: tonight, these are the questions you need to ask yourself -- are we dealing with racism or are we dealing with corruption? are we buying our own debt? wait until you see this one. the third question is are americans engaged in the slave trade today and nobody is paying attention to it, and is the mainstream media even mainstream anymore? oh, no. i think it's time we renamed them. this hour, we will. if you believe this country is great but the government is turning everything upside-down, stand up! come on. follow me.
5:01 pm
golly. well, hello, america. the congressman that i didn't know anything about a few days ago is now the focus of another firestorm, another emergency, oh, we have to talk about this for days and days and days. why? who is this guy? apparently during the president's speech last week, joint session on healthcare, after the president said "illegal aliens would not be covered," this congressman, wilson, said two words "you lie! " for his part, joe wilson apologized. the president accepted. now, may i be an adult here and ask if the president and joe wilson, the two parties directly affected and involved, did they not solve it like two grown-ups should? did joe wilson not do the right thing by calling him up and saying i'm sorry, mr. president trvetion
5:02 pm
inappropriate, and did the president not do the right thing and say i accept your apology, i understand passions get the best of us. why, for the love of pete are we still talking about this? i said last week i understand wilson's frustration, but i also said i didn't agree with the way he eh pressed it, but -- with the way he expressed it, but you know what? neither did joe wilson. that's why he apologized. now, after the apology, the charges are not just that it was out of line, no, no. now it is somehow or another joe wilson is transformed into a racist. the charge of racist is coming from everyone. jimmy carter is involved. jim, i sure miss you. this is so ridiculous that in america in 2009 we have a former president who says if you're opposed to the president's healthcare, you're racist. gosh, where did i hear that? oh, thank you. jimmy carter, and i heard that
5:03 pm
from jeremiah wright last week. let me ask you this -- do you know they banned the words hypocrite and liar in the house? you can't say those things? what is worse, being called a liar or a racist? maybe we should ask joe wilson, who now by some bizarre definition is a bigot, but before we ask him, maybe we should ask ourselves this question, because i don't think anybody is listening down there. i think the mainstream media and washington, they're just playing a little game. when did the accusation of someone telling a lie have anything to do with the color of your skin? when did that change? i think the whole world is being changed. the president himself denies that, so why are we playing this game? well, i'll tell you why, because white people are strirring this up. white people like maureen dowd and jimmy carter would like to make this about black and
5:04 pm
white when it's not o.t. give you some idea of the truly vicious and nasty accusations from american history, i mean, liar is not the worst thing that has been called. let's go back to 1800, the campaign between thomas jefferson and john adams, best friends. they were going back at at at it and adams said of jefferson that he wanted to murder his opponent, burn the churches, he was a robber and hated the constitution and always had and pledged to subvert it. he was accused of whoring and many other terrible things. adams was called the tyrant, unpatriotic, a repulsive pendant, gross hypocrite -- can't say that in the house anymore n his private life, one of the most egg egregious fools pont the continent, he was called a hideous character, with neither the forcefulness or firmness of a man or gentleness and sensibility of a woman.
5:05 pm
wow. "you lie!" now, these were founding fathers, two of the greatest men our country has hef ever known, and we're all in a snit over "you lie!" jefferson and adams renewed their friendships before dying an apart on the 50th anniversary of the nation they helped found. in a country as wide and diverse as america it would be a miracle if there weren't individuals that saw life and politics through the prism of color, and there is, of course, real prejudice and real racism, but the vast majority of americans don't give a flying crap about the color of your skin. they are too busy working hard, raising a family, worried about their jobs, their future that they have, maybe the future of the republic, and, oh, yeah, i forgot, busy paying their taxes that you in washington don't ever seem to have to pay. let's remember what happened
5:06 pm
here. barack obama said there were myths surrounding his healthcare bill, and everybody needed to know that no illegals would receive healthcare. remember? >> there are also those who claim that our reform efforts efforts would insure illegal immigrants. this, too, is false. the reform -- the reforms i'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally. glenn: was he lying? no. no. was he telling the truth? no. i mean, he wasn't necessarily lying when he said this, apparently the healthcare bill will prevent illegal aliens from receiving federal money for subsidies, but, also, the official research arm for congress, the congressional research service, also said h.r.-3200 does not contain any restrictions on non-citizens whether legally or illegally present or in the united states temporarily or
5:07 pm
permanently. let me ask you, are we really going to turn away illegal immigrants at hospitals? really? no, it's not like wilson is saying he doesn't know the facts, and he hadn't even read the bill and is just making rash judgments about the president. he looked at it closely. this is the part of the bill he has been focused on. he believes the effects of the bill are clear, as does the c.r.f. so now ask your sex this question -- there are two people with different opinions s it likely that joe wilson believes the president was misrepresenting the healthcare facts on illegal aliens, or is it more logical to believe that joe wilson just hates them african-americans? which do i think it is? which do you think is more logical? if joe wilson, you know had some sort of record where he had surrounded himself with blatant racists or, you know, he had gone to church, you
5:08 pm
know, with a bunch of racists with a racist minister, or if his policies with based on race or racial justice, maybe you could make that case, but we've looked at joe wilson and his record, and i can't -- can you, can anybody in the media? because we could finish this up real quick if we could just talk about the issue. you know what i'm saying? cries of racism is important. it is like the word fire. in a crowded movie theater. you just don't call it out unless there is a fire, you know what i mean? when somebody calls racism, there needs to be some evidence that there is some racism or at least somebody is like, you know what? i smelled smoke, i really thought. that doesn't make you a bad person to be, if you are in a crowded movie theater and smell smoke and feel heat and yell fire, but what happens, everybody gets out and then
5:09 pm
you say, wait, wait, you called fire, why? did you smell smoke and you go and try to find it out so you can put the fire out. request is it when cries of racism happen, nobody asks, wait, wait, did you smell smoke? where did you see it? what happened? how did you arrive at that? no, no, no. it's just fire! and then destroy the person. why? you got to look at the person yelling fire. it's not president obama. even after the incident, wilson apologized and obama accepted and moved on, but there is somebody here clearly trying to make two rights into a wrong. you have to ask yourself why is that? is that an attempt to distract us from the issues, because somebody can't make the case maybe? you see, too often false accusations stop us for looking for real answers and stop us from having an honest debate.
5:10 pm
gosh, america, isn't it time we just talked to each other plainly? they prevent us from focusing on, i don't know, real issues like, i don't know, what do you say corruption and what is really happening in our government. even barney frank admitted that he and his colleagues should focus on more pressing matters. well, barney frank, i can't believe these words are spilling out of my mouth, but i agree. mr. frank, how about you and your colleagues focus on you and your colleagues? the surrounding political corruption. it is something that all republicans and democrats, white and black have in common. focus on corruption. i don't really care about the color of your skin. i don't care if you are ran iguana. i want to look at the content of -- can somebody please reread martin luther king's speech? i think he said that. i think he did. let's take a look. what could we focus on? we could do the race thing, or we could start looking at charlie rangel.
5:11 pm
how does somebody who spends most of his public life in public service amass such wealth that he can forget about $2.4 million to declare it on his income tax? the guy has so much money laying around. am i racist for asking this question? am i a racist -- democrats, for the love of god, it's charlie rangel! when are you going to step up and say how do you do a full investigation into a mortgage scandal on chris dodd when you don't even subpoena the mortgage records involved the sweetheart deal from the banks? for the love of pete! how can you make a decision when you don't have any evidence! that is almost as ridiculous as saying, i'm going to side with the college professor. ii don't know any details about anything but the police officer was wrong. that's ridiculous. by the way, am i a racist to ask that question about chris dodd, who's white? it's ridiculous. there is no credibility in any of this stuff.
5:12 pm
if a harvard professor was arrested are and the president said he didn't have all the facts, can we ask more questions here? no, no, no. we've got bigger sphish to fry. we got steroids in baseball, we got to investigate that. the nfl patriots cheating standard, we ought to spend more time looking at trees and sports scanning dahls! why -- sports scandals. why is it? it's racism, i tell you. instead of looking for the race-based reason of why joe wilson might shout ow "you lie!" because it would be crazy in this world today to think that any democrat, republican or poll 'tis might lie -- politician might lie? let's look at what the politicians are actually doing. it's not supposed to be about what sound bite you can work to your advantage to save a dying healthcare bill. it's supposed to be about the truth. let me tell you something.
5:13 pm
the truth is just never discussed anymore. i saw some videotape on fox & friends earlier today, and it was the taliban. the taliban is growing in strength over in afghanistan. it's pretty horrific stuff. it involves a kid and they're trying to set a bomb and our guys are like do we take him out? but we don't want to kill a kid. we don't want collateral damage. i mean, it's war and we have rules of engagement. ok. why do terrorists, why do the taliban, why are they using bombs? why are they blowing people up? why are they using terror? i can tell you it's because they can't make their case. i mean, who is signing up? are you signing up? can anybody say anything to you that says, yeah, i want my wife to stay home and she can't leave the house unless i'm with her and she certainly can't drive, because she's a
5:14 pm
woman, you know? amen to that. are you signing up for char sharia law? yeah. you steal a loaf of bread, i'm cutting your hand off. honor killings are the way to go. come on! nobody is signing up for that. they can't make their case, so they have to push people through fear, intimidation, and in extreme cases, blowing people up. now, let me bring you back to the video. i'm going to show this to you. get ready in the control room with the video. you ready? what is happening? why are they using a child? they're using a child because we have rules of engagement. we don't want to kill children. we find it abhorrent. we don't want collateral damage. we find that abhorrent, and we also don't like bad headlines. we don't like everybody saying, the united states is killing children! and our enemy knows it. so what happens? they use children. watch this videotape.
5:15 pm
>> those individuals are over now by where that ied is suspected. the kid appears to be carrying something over to the vicinity. i believe that is a hostile act in the same areas that we just saw him cover something up. it just detonated by itself. glenn: they whew up a kid. they're -- they blew up a kid. they're using a child as a shield. they're using terror to jam their agenda down the world's throat. we don't accept that. that's insanity. this is clearly an extreme example. nobody is saying that we're blowing children up or anything like the taliban, but this is the same kind of
5:16 pm
tactic they use now in america. you can't get your agenda, so you unleash the hounds and point the fingers and everybody is a racist, because why? you want to be called a racist do you want to call somebody a racist? if you do, you better have some facts to back it up, but in today's america, does anybody even care? does anybody even ask you, why would you say that? is anybody asking, how is he suddenly a racist? nbc did this report last night on the tea party out in washington, d.c. where people were hugging, singing, singing national anthems, "star spangled banner," hugging, peaceful, no arrests, and yet nbc does this thing of a
5:17 pm
growing violent crowd. what? can you back that one up, brian williams? help me out on that one, will ya? you have to ask yourself, maybe there is racism, because racism exists am i'm going to show it to you in a few minutes. it is horrifying. slave trade. slave trade. something that white people during the slave trade would have gone to jail or been executed for in the 1800's, would have been executed for. ok. it's happening. it's happening in america, and i got it on videotape and i'll show it to you, and it involves a white person doing it. so you have to ask yourself, is there smoke when somebody yells that, do they have a reason for yelling it, or are they just trying to divert your attention? are they just trying to bully you? because they can't make their case? back in a minute.
5:18 pm
>> and now a quick lesson in economics. you can't just print more money to pay back debt. the monetization nightmare, next. ññññññññññññññ
5:19 pm
5:20 pm
5:21 pm
glenn: america, i have great news for you. i said to you on saturday and then again on monday that i'm looking for 56 refounders of america, people that will look at their own party and just say here's where corruption is. it's riddled with corruption. i am proud to say i believe we have our first. we have had several calls but we're not just taking anybody who says yeah, i want my name on that list. no. no. we got one today that said i don't want my name on any
5:22 pm
list. i think we have our first refounder, someone who is going to expose corruption in washington. please, i'm begging, if you are a part of the system in washington, there's a way out. help us clean up the corruption, please contact us. now, corruption. monetizing our debt, most people don't even know what that means. one congressman asked fed chair ben bernanke back in june, are we going to buy our own debt? well, here's what ben bernanke said. >> will the federal reserve monetize this debt? >> the federal reserve will not monetize the debt. glenn: will not monetize the debt. we'll get to that here in just a second. first, charles, how are you? >> good. how is it going? >> good. charles payne, c.e.o. of wstreet.com, my favorite street. ok, charles, first let's explain, if i have common shares of stock, you know,
5:23 pm
this is a company, dirtbags are us, and my company is too big right now and i have to have more money. why do my shareholders not want dirtbags are us -- if i've got four shares here, and that is all that represents the whole pool of stock, why do they not the dirtbags at dirtbags are russ to issue another four shares? >> because you dilute the company and make the shares worth less. >> glenn: how much less? >> just like if you had a pizza and we have one for us, and it's great, but four friends come over and we have to cut it even smaller. it hurts the pie. glenn: if i'm a stockholder i'm like, no, no, don't just print up more shares because mine are worth less right now. >> they are wrorgts less, but sometimes it can be done for a smart reason. glenn: like? >> demand for the product. listen, we're making the best
5:24 pm
widgets and everybody wants our widgets. glenn: but if you're spiraling out of control, not a good idea? >> absolutely not. glenn: all right. would you agree with me, sir, that this is our stock in our company? >> those are our stock certificates. >> absolutely. glenn: no different than this in a company? >> that's right. glenn: i just read the stats last night. a year ago, we had $800 billion of beans in circulation. how much is it? >> $800 billion. glenn: these numbers are so huge. a year ago, we had $800 billion of these, approximately. now, a year later, we have $1.7 trillion of these in circulation. that's the same thing as the stock, is it not? >> absolutely. glenn: ok. what does that mean to our dollar? >> the same thing as the stock or that piece of pie analogy. it is worth less, and the problem here is that we have been issuing these dollars not
5:25 pm
as investment, but spending it. a huge difference between someone saying we're going to invest with a return, which is why you keep hearing the government say we're making money on this and that, which is bogus and hog wash, but the bottom line is a huge difference and we're devaluing the dollar. glenn: so that is like dirtbags are us just selling more stock and giving the money away and not doing anything good for the company? >> building a luxurious office or something like, that just wasting it. glenn: play the ben bernanke thing one more time, when he ask was asked by congressmen "are we going to monetize our own debt?" >> the federal reserve will not monetize the debt. glenn: ok. what that means is, let's just say my two hands could talk to each other, and this hand says, one, two, three, four, gee, i've only got four dollars left. i need $4.
5:26 pm
and he talked to my other hand and he says, oh, i'll give you $4, and he takes $4, and gives it to this hand. thank you. now i have $8. no, you don't! your hands are tied. you're moving it from one pocket to another, especially if you own the printing press. did i explain that right, i mean, in a simple way? >> yes. glenn: we're talking heads. show me these two pieces of paper here. ben bernanke, remember, oh, there's no corruption whatsoever, right? no, no, we can trust the fed. we won't monetize the debt. tell me what this did. >> here we have a treasury auction of a bond, and we have a 7-year note. glenn: this was july 30, 2009. this is the bond number? >> that's the number when it is being sold.
5:27 pm
>> that's the treasury coming out and saying, we have this stock in america, and we're going to sell it for this amount, and i believe it was almost $5 billion. >> yes. glenn: and we're going to sell it for this amount? >> right. glenn: and you're going to give us the money? >> right. glenn: that's the sale july 30. >> right. glenn: this is the next month, just a few days later. tell me what this is from the federal reserve of new york. >> this is the federal reserve, not to be confused with the treasury department. the federal reserve buys it and pockets it. these are the two hands talking to each other. they buy this from a middle party, the public, who held this for a couple of days, sold it here. how did they get the money? they printed the money. so now what happens, and this is really the scary part for america, is that the more they print this money, it goes back into this little crack here, the public, and it is money supply and it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. it's artificial money.
5:28 pm
that eventually leads to inflation. that's one of the reasons gold is near an all-time high. glenn: just so you understand, america, this is no, we won't monetize. we won't buy our own debt. look, we're selling it to somebody, right? they sell it to a third party, and then the fed comes back and says, hey, there's $5 billion in treasury, same number! same number. >> even more ludicrous is that the fed has admitted it. they said we have to buy at least $300 billion and charge it as securities as part of these emergency measures which makes it so interesting that every time ben bernanke says we're out of woods, then why are we still doing this? these are legitimate questions that no one has gotten a good answer. glenn: nobody wants to answer it. the fed doesn't have to answer and nobody is pressing them on it because they're all in on this game. tell me, is this a lie or a shell game? >> it's definitely a shell
5:29 pm
game. that is one way to describe it. it is a convoluted shell game. glenn: it is a "i did not have sexual relations with her." >> exactly. glenn: so, if i ask ben bernanke, are we monetizing our own debt -- and this is the way i define monetizing our own debt, selling it to you for two days and you just buy it and i'll buy it back, that's monetizing debt? >> right. glenn: if i ask that, would i be a racist for asking that? >> i don't think so. glenn: i think it's a legitimate question. back in a second. >> the megd odd behind acorn's madness, we're exposing the tactics, next. to other people,

" wow, reboking joe wilson doesn't help solve any race problems or any problems with anything, including the existing slavery we have with illegal immigration and acorn. let's go back to acorn. in the 1800's in america, when african-americans were literally enslaved, it was illegal for anyone to teach them to read. why? because a smart, educated person will realize, hey, you shouldn't have chains around me, while the same people who the progressive left is sending into minority neighborhoods to help free them from the bondage of new

slavery, they claim, the white society keeps them in, listen to what these white acorn officials are saying about these minority underaged prostitutes. listen carefully. >> i want to get them a place they can live, possibly educate them, as best i can, i don't know, and they need to open up their own business. >> that's a real conflict. you can't have independented educated people, women or men. >> i can make them better. >> they are going to work for you every day every second of the day. glenn: she goes on to say you have to figure out how much you really want to educate them. you got to be kidding me? let's talk about real issues when we come back. >> democrats are in control,.

glenn: i have to tell you, man, america is on to this. it's thrilling to watch how we're waking up. david horowitz, the founder of "front page" magazine is with us now. hey, dave. >> hey, glenn. glenn: we have been talking about the charges of racism and they're coming from everywhere, everyone is saying everyone is racist from the progressive left. it is a tactic that has been used for a long time. no one wants to be called a racist, et cetera, et cetera, but i don't think it's going to work anymore. i really don't.
5:49 pm
i don't think people buy into the cries of racism. it is very bad for actual racists problems, but how does the average person respond to it? >> well, people are vick and tired of it. let me say one thing about jimmy carter. i don't think an expresident who is an anti-semmite is qualified to tell people who is a racist or not. you notice on the tape, bin laden praised him because he called jews who are defending themselves against rocket attacks against schoolyards, he called the jews racists. they are. blacks are the human shield of the democratic party, and let me just also say, that this assault is aimed at black people. the inner cities of america are frilled with black people. democrats run those inner cities. if a black person should vote for a republican, then he becomes what in this universe? a race trader -- a race

traitor. what other group votes 95% for one party? glenn: when we come back, i want to talk specifically about what do people do to prepare themselves for the onslaught of attacks? how do you fight that? back in a second. quality and reliability... are more than words here. it's personal. i have diabetes. rodney's kid too.

glenn: van jones would tell you that the worst kind of revoluntionary communist is one that says, wait a minute, i was wrong. that would be david horowitz. david horowitz has been around communists and revoluntionaries and progressives and in washington knows how to really sniff them out, unlike anybody else, because you were part of it for a long time. david, the average person has no clue as to -- you know, they're getting off their couch for the first time. they're marching in protest and now you have the president
5:54 pm
of the united states -- former president of the united states coming out and saying these are violent racist people. you walk into a town hall meeting or a protest, a tea party thing and somebody says that, how do you respond? how do you fight this? >> that makes the democratic party a party of racists, because michael steele is the chairman of the republican party, all the time. i guess, also, they don't want to see another black president for a long time, because americans don't want a president that they can't criticize, and all this is an attempt to silence people. as you say, where's the proof? they have no proof that anybody is a racist. you know, you have to come back in their face. the democratic party is a party of slavery, and segregation, of race preferences and it is the party that controls all the major failing schools in the inner cities that are crushing the life out of black children
5:55 pm
and hispanic children. that is where the racism is. glenn: i have this theory, question with boldness, hold to the truth, whatever the truth is, hold to the truth and then speak without fear, but the most powerful stick has got to be wb gandhi and martin luther king, the most powerful aresenal of weapons is the truth with facts. can i have you back, and you bring some of these actual facts on where you say, ok, well the policies are hurting minoritys? of the progressive left, and give us the facts so we can just have all these facts so when somebody says you're a racist because of whatever, you can say, no, no, here is what i believe and here is the effect of the policies of the progressive left? >> just get rid of the white guilt. shelby steele wrote a beautiful book about white guilt. just forget t blacks all over the world want to come to america because it's the best place in the world for black
