necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing, then stand up. come on. follow me. well, hello, america. you know, i have been saying for a while that the paradigm is about to change, and it is. just a few months ago, a few months ago, i had to come on this program on march 13 and say you are not alone. find your voice. a lot of people didn't feel like their voice mattered at all. the frustration of that led you to stand up and find somebody else and demand, many for the first time, that your voice be heard. people have come out of the woodwork. they have gone to town hall meetings, and, like, stood up to these powerful clowns and you did it. look how far you've come. politicians were ignoring you. now they fear you.

you know what? a lot of people in the fringe media will say he is preaching fear. yeah, yeah, yeah. exactly the way george washington said. i hate to quote thomas jefferson o'er ben franklin, but yes, the politicians should hear. it is healthy for a republic. we'll vote you out! that kind of fear, because we are awake and we are watching the weasels. have you noticed the cockroaches scatter as the lights go on? we will calm out those who are not protecting and defending the constitution of the united states, because the purpose of a just government is to prevent plunder, not facilitate it, and that is exactly what has happened. anybody who stands up in the beltway against corruption, i want you to hear this. america will stand with you. i believe republicans, democrats and independents if you stand up inside the beltway, even if you have been part of the problem in the past and you say look, look, i'll take my lumps, if it

means i have to go in front of a judge and jury, i will, but please, i just want out. let me tell you something, if you help clean up the mess, we'll stand with you. we would just like america to be here, you know, for the next generation, and besides, america loves forgiveness and repentance. the atonement is real. use it. this is an amazing country. we had 56 founders, 56 brave, good, decent human beings. i was reading thomas jefferson about a week ago and it gave me an idea. 56 people founded this country. we don't need to fundamentally transform this country. we need to refound it. that's what we need to do, so all it took was 56, so why should it be any different from today? let's look for 56 people out of the 535 people in congress, men and women, and find 56 who will stand up to the

corruption, stand up to the special interests, stand up in your own party! don't be a republican and tell me how much the democrats suck. i don't want to hear it. i'm tired of it. clean up your own party, and democrats, do the same damn thing. stand up to what washington, d.c. has become. i don't want to take my kids there, and say this is our nation's capital, close your eyes, kids, oh, good lord, don't look there. it used to be a place of pride. it used to be a place we could look at. sorry if i'm a little jimmy stewart on you in "mr. smith goes to washington," but that's what it should be, so become a refounder. i want you to know, if you are a politician, you won't get a dime of publicity from this. i won't rat you out. i won't say who you are. this isn't something you can say, oh, my gosh, that tea party movement, that's big, i could pretend to be one of those guys for a while. you actually need to demonstrate it.

we will keep you anonymous so you can help us weed out the weasels, such as the tax dodgers like charlie rangel, or you know, those people who are still supporting core corrupt organizations like acorn, or my favorite today, john murtha's airport. oh, you don't know about john murtha's airport? oh, it's beautiful. oh, look at it. it's spectacular, especially this time of the year, you know, as fall starts to set in. according to a report from abc news, it has got a $7 millionnaire traffic control tower, a $14 million hangar, an $18 million state-of-the-art runway. it's sweet i hear. it's got everything a modern airport should be equipped with, you know, except anybody flying out of there. well, they have planes flying out of there. they have three flights a day, uh-huh. guess where all of the flights go to? washington, d.c.

it is easier on john murtha. he's tired. he's like, i got to go home and i don't want to go to an airport that's like 50 miles away. i want one right there. i'm glad we could make that happen for you, john. the airport has received over $150 million in your money! and then another $800,000 in stimulus money to repave an alternate runway. why? was it in disrepair from the unuse? the airport in barrel, alaska, to give you a little idea, 320 miles north of the arctic circle. nobody's going there. 37,000 people went through that airport at the top of the world. who is going there? murtha's airport, 6,700. there was a vote today to cut off all federal funding to this waste of taxpayer money. yeah. no, they didn't cut it off.

i'm so tired of hearing about, oh, we got to act fast. we're in so much trouble! we got to act fast! we got to have healthcare right away or we're going to go broke! i'm also tired of hearing we are the richest country in the world, we ought to be able to afford blah blah blah blah blah. let me ask you this question. think of your street at your house. think of the richest person on your street. let's just say you live down the street and there is somebody with the biggest house there. they got a great cadillac s.u.v. and maybe they got a lexus sitting there. they go on the best vacations. they have all the finest label in clothing. their kids are, like, you know, they let their kids have those cars that the little kids drive, and i always wanted one as a kid and my dad was like, are you dumb, you know how much those cost, those kids that are, like electric? are they the richest person in your neighborhood? maybe. what happens if their house

has been repossessed and they lose their cars and their kids are crying say no, they're taking away my little barbie car! are they still the richest people in the neighborhood, or were they just the people who spent the most money? we're not the richest nation in the world anymore. we used to be. now we just spend the most money. there is no more money. they're about to take our houses from us. if you understand that, wouldn't it be a no boehner to not no brainer to spend $100 million a year on an airport that one dirtbag uses to make dirty deals with other dirtbags that nobody wants? pa to congress. these are the republicans that have so much spite. you know the republicans, they just -- they're in there pitching for you. they just want to make sure that we keep our spending down. yeah. they voted to fund the airport

that nobody uses. the bill was defeated, by the way, 43-53, but voinovich here from ohio, yeah, he's like, oh, that sounds like a good deal, $20 million for john's airport and this is kit bond, it is a show-me state, show me out of office! all i'm asking is for 56 people to help weed people like these out. ohio and missouri, you now know if these guys say no, i'm for small spending, they're lying to you. show them the door. if you can't stop john murtha's airport, you're incapable of stopping anything and it's not hard to find corruption in washington, d.c. i'll hope you figure that out in washington. maxine waters, her husband, a cute story here. her husband is on the board of a bank that received $12

million in bailout funding, and that just happened three months after waters helped arrange a meeting between officials at the bank and the treasury department representatives? isn't that great? what a love story. charlie rangel has a love story of his own. here is a guy who has forgotten to pay taxes on more money than you make in a lifetime at $2.4 million, he just forgot, oh, my gosh, i forgot about that $2.4 million. how about john conyers? he had personal aides working on his wife's election campaign. his wife, you got to remember ler, monica conyers. oh, she is so great. she was just convicted back in june on federal bribery charges in a sludge hauling scandal. i love those sludge handling scandals. can i ask you a question -- has the swine flu already hit and killed most of the population and i'm just not aware of it? i mean, that's a possible terrorism i have been watching

the news on other channels, so maybe that happened and nobody is reporting on it. i just can't figure it out. if the swine flu thing didn't happen and wipe out most of the population, why are we so low on citizens that we can't find people to serve that haven't been in jail? i don't know. and then murtha, of course, he's got the airport thing. he's also linked to a lobbying firm that has been raided by the f.b.i. two times. timothy geithner he couldn't figure out turbotax but he's the only guy that could figure out how to fix the economy. he failed to pay his taxes and he's our treasury secretary, oh, and he also runs the i.r.s. then you have what came out today, the outright lies coming from the white house. you decide. i hate to call anybody a liar. you tell me. it's the cap and trade energy bill. we want to thank our friend chris horner at cei for pointing this out to us. chris, watchdog, thank you very much.

this is a document behind me. this is something that the department of the treasury did for the white house and the government, so, you know, they could be informed. i want you to take a look at the date. it's march 9, 2009. you remember that date. this is when the white house got this, and then it just was buried, lost. we had to get it through a freedom of information act. look at the document, because in the document, it says "a cap and trade program could generate receipts on the order of $100 billion to $200 billion annually." wow, that's a lot. in fact, it's so much it's the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15%. bigger is always better. that's $1,761 a year per household, all of us, every one. ok. that's back in march. march 9, 2009, the department

of tresh i issues a report and says here, mr. president, boy, that looks like it is going to suck. it is going to cost $1,761. got it? now let's fast forward to april 20, 2009. march -- april -- i'm not very good with numbers and calendar stuff, because that's complicated, because there are 12 whole months out of the year, but i think april comes after the ort came out. here is hen i waxman, you know, from the waxman markly energy bill. he said this -- >> the cost of the bill that mr. markey and i in this analysis says the bill will cost the average family less than 40 cents per day. >> you know, i'm not very good with numbers but i think $1,761 is more than 40 cents.

i'm not a congressman. if you look at the treasury estimates, waxman is only underestimating the cost by 1200%. now, let's fast forward a little further. listen to president obama. remember, march 9, 2009, department of the treasury. here is their confidential analysis. glenn: there is so much of the news that i don't really understand. this morning, i got up and i had to call my daughter at 6:45 and i said "honey, just don't go by a newsstand for the next week, because your dad is on the cover of time." it's a mad man. oh, yeah. the family loves it. no, they really do it's funny, because i read this stuff. i read what the fringe media says about me, and really, you. this article talks about how i'm stoking fear and anger, and yeah, profiting off of fear and anger. yet in "time" magazine, this story is flu phobia, how fear goes viral and what you can do, and the meltdown, one year later, why the system is still broken. panic, everybody! do they see it?

i don't think they do. you and i apparently are just, you know, mindless rednecks and you do whatever i tell you to do. this shouldn't have been the cover of time. this should have been the cover of time, because once again, the fringe media just -- you told me in advance, like, hold it up. there we go. do you expect me to listen? the media doesn't get it. they blame me and completely underestimate you. maybe the fringe media should spend more time looking into the possibility that the 9/12ers and the tea party protestors are not mindly fox news zombies and they're just actually concerned citizens, but that's not the story line that abc and cbs and nbc need, you know, so they can go down their own path. look at how they reacted to the stories that we have talked about. when we covered the 9/12 project and the tea party movement protests, they were mocked. here is what some of the blogs actually said. huffington post, which i read

america, but yep, i'm mad! you saw the last segment? we got a president who says the constitution is fundamentally gnawed. really -- is fundamentally flawed? really? i like the constitution. sure, it does make me angry that some want to abate it like it is some sort of legal inconvene quence instead of the foundation of our society and freed the entire planet, changed everything, candles to electric lights. what a coincidence it happened after men were free. let's change it, what do you say, not in the cover of dark ness. yeah, i think a lot of people in the audience are angry. a lot of people in america are angry, the same way gandhi was angry. the same way martin luther king was angry. it's too bad we didn't have nancy pelosi back then to tell america to watch out for that angry martin luther king, because he was so forceful in his speeches, he must be dangerous. >> i think we all have to take responsibility for our actions and our words.

czars now, too. >> nancy pelosi said this this morning "i don't know what they passed in the senate? what did they do? they defunded acorn?" that was this morning she said that. what did the house do today? >> they voted to totally defund acorn, to totally ban all federal funds to acorn. it was a stunning turnaround. the house leadership didn't have to allow a vote at all. they did it. it was 345-75. in that number, 172 democrats voted to totally defund acorn. now, this is a group that has worked on behalf of democrats for decades, and in the course of a few days, support for acorn across capitol hill has just totally collapsed. glenn: ok. i'm not convinced -- by the way, don't miss tomorrow's show. there's more. i'm not convinced that this is all -- i'm so cynical now for the republicans and democrats.

i don't believe any of them. how much of this is actually real? remember, you know this byron, as good as anybody else, as well as anybody else. it's a shell game. acorn could completely shut down and open up as jim's happy nursery rhyme store and it will be the same group of people. how much of this is really real? >> that's true. one senate aide told me today they have tentacles everywhere. you really have to work to do this, but these are real votes. you have 172 democrats in the house. you have 50 democrats in the senate. on the record, supporting cutoff of federal funds for acorn. it's going to require a lot of vigilance to make sure that happens, and of course, first of all, the senate has got to pass a bill. then there has to be a conference committee and then they have to pass the final bill and then the president has to sign it. if at any point along the way democrats could change their mind but you have on the record votes of large democratic majorities voting to defund acorn. glenn: he's going to sign it and pass it because by the
