man right into the backfield. now they're not even having the blitz, or anybody off the corner. it's just a four-man push. karl klug, the play before defends on the outside. just watch the push, the power, bull rush. they were worried here at iowa about losing experience from the inside and not being strong enough. i think tonight, or this afternoon, we've seen that these guys are strong on the inside. that was impressive. >> merril: paul chaney jr., this time at the 35 for crier's play. close, huh? avoids the first. got it blocked at the corner, midfield taken out of bounds in arizona territory. paul chaney junior with a 23-yard return after a punt of 45.

6'3", 235, got behind and a perfect toss that time by stanzi. and you got multiple mishaps here by this arizona defense on this particular play. robert golden, number one, you'll see he should be back in the back. but the linebackers, they lose the tight end. tight end down the middle. nobody is back there. there comes number one, golden. he got to get over and stay back. there wasn't any pressure on them the other side of the field with the receiver. >> mike: first and 10 from the 12. looks like he had room but made decision wide. sterling lewis was right there. >> craig: but the breakdown. ricky stanzi was not making plays. finds a catchable ball to the tight end. does not miss the big play down the field and they needed it. winding away here in the third

but fillstill within one point of this ball game? >> mike: in case people joined us late. they got a quarterback draw and one run from scrimmage. touchdown came on an interception return. they've done virtually nothing offensively. >> craig: i think it goes back to the iowa defense and speed of this defense, i think surprised arizona's team and even the coaching staff. iowa defenders have been all over scott. they've beaten the lineman up front much i thought the iowa secondary has recognized the routes today and not given options for scott down the field to throw the ball. >> mike: well, scott is going have his work cut out for him h. mark stoops, you know, i think he recognizes, hey, we need help from the offense. we're trying do all we can to keep us in this football game. we'll have to come up with
