3:00 pm
thanks on to our panel. cal is in 3-d next week. i'm jon scott. >> glenn: you want to get the phone number. you want to call. i'm going to show you this quote. i'm not going to tell you what context it was set in or who said out. here it is. what is it, small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principle risk to the efforts comes from the action of the rich countries in order tofied the planet, they decide isn't the only hope for the
3:01 pm
planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? isn't it our responsibility to bring that about? that is kind of spooky. i'm going to show you who said that and in what context they said that in. it all relates to, surprisingly the new global warming and the new climate bill. >> glenn: hello america, the earth has a temperature but we can sing the praises of the almighty god. he has sent us his prophet to heal the plan it. they introduced a new climate bill. it's a new name, cap and trade, no, wait, not cap and trade. don't think of this as a climate
3:02 pm
bill or cap and trade. it's america's power act. we're look at the pretty logo. does in bring tears to your eyes? it's so patriotic. the press row lease from the clowns makes it sounds like its cure for cancer. it's not. not only is it going to solve all of america's problems, energy independence, clean air, jobs, it's going to, quote, transform the american economy. joe lieberman said that. transform it into what? spain? spain has done this. they have 21% unemployment. can't be spain. tell me, joe, transform us into what? if this bill is so great, why
3:03 pm
did you change the name? because it's cap and trade, climate bill, we know that is a scam and cap and trade and somebody went and educated people what cap and trade was, crap. now it's the america's power act. it's been tried around the world. it's a complete failure. even the progressive wizard, rogers, admits cap and trade will not help the earth. his words. >> i hope you realize you can eliminate every power plant in america today and take out the higher power generation sector. take out the transportation sector and you wouldn't be near 80% of the level. you would be closer to 60%, you would be closer to 68% bringing the economy to a halt. >> glenn: so we can tall live in
3:04 pm
tepees and we won't save the earth. we all have to start making tepees, we all have teepee jobs. >> there is no evidence that it would create jobs. it kills jobs. it's two to one, i think it kills jobs. so there must be something else behind this. maybe it's going to be a miracle because brother kerry is on a mission from god. watch this. >> president obama gets involved and harry reid, we pull totaling i think it can pass. the reason is we have the broadest base of the support. we have faith-based community support. we have generals and admirals who believe this is essential for american security. we have major business leaders who believe this will create jobs and make us competitive. >> glenn: yes, yes.
3:05 pm
some people -- i won't say -- because i'm an adult and a parent i won't. tell but christmas. it just crossed my mind. i'm sure there are people that believe this will create jobs. and the churches are behind this movement. the churches are. that is great. where do i sign up? i found a constitutional of faith based groups. it's great. let me show you the website. it's the equal justice program. the national council of churches of christ. look, it's such a pretty theme with three different churches. is there a synagogue or mosque? there must be someplace the they are altogether, for eco justice. this is fantastic. they launched a climate leadership training program for jesus. where do i donate? support our work.
3:06 pm
i had to donate the national council of churches for eco justice. right here at the bottom of the page, if you are paying attention, right here it says the democracy in action.org group. democracy in action. that sounds very patriotic. i had to click and find out what they are about. here it is. wiring the progressive (o) the oh, oh. nonprofit organization believes technology can be a decisive force for social change. we exist to empower those that share our values of ecological and social justice to advance the progressive agenda. america, if you don't get it yet you will. this is why the huffington
3:07 pm
post/washington post/jim wallace slash obama advisor has been dropping bags of hammers on me for the last few months smearing me. why? because i brought your attention to the lie of social justice. i told you that social justice as understand by jim wallace and those on the progressive left, those people understand it as marxism, redistribution of wealth. churches don't like to use those terms. some churches use it for missionary work. if jesus is telling you to volunteer your time or money to do something, that is great. social justice, the way it was originally intended -- no. redistribution of wealth. no the difference. i challenge you to find social justice in the bible. i challenge you to find social justice in any founding document. now i challenge you to find the
3:08 pm
progressive movement that doesn't use social justice. they are doing the same thing. they change the language to control the argument, to fool you into thinking that the climate bill is about climate. that the cap and trade bill is not damaging. when you figure out they changed the name again. believe me, social and ecological justice is going to be changed again. it's not lord's work. it's man's work for a global government. isn't it interesting. that a global government and governance idea, they are using the churches to do it. so this cap and -- american power act has no republican support whatsoever. john mccain and lindsay graham who is working on the cap and trade bill -- why? because the progressives are
3:09 pm
afraid and backing off because you are waking up. they saw what happened to bob bennett utah. 14-term democrat in west virginia, bye-bye. people in washington, you should be afraid. you know the people on the left are those that like to hide behind the curtain. they should be afraid of the progressives, because the progressives are not taking their foot off the pedal. they are exposing themselves as the radical, revolutionary country destroyers that they are. they realize, am i on the right side now? because only one is going to be standing in the end, our country or the progressives. america is on to the progressive movement. this bill would give america a system that would charge for the use of carbon. remember, to save the planet. to create jobs.
3:10 pm
remember those two things. save the planet and create jobs. one of the most affected will be bakers base of all the ovens but don't worry, it won't cause a price problem with bread. bread will be different. for some reason, bread will be different. remember the government can print money. bakers cannot. so their options are, save the planet and create jobs. if you are a baker you have to pay for carbon credits. you can pay for them out of all the money you make in the bakery. my father was a baker. we were so rich -- i got to tell you, there is so much money in cakes and donuts. your options are fire people, cut salaries, hire people part time, get rid of benefits or raise prices. which would than is the
3:11 pm
president saying is going to happen? he knows, watch. >> under my plan of the cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. >> glenn: so electricity rates are going to skyrocket. how does the baker pay for the energy. how does he pay for the extra energy and the cap? he's got to make more bread to pay for the higher energy price but, but he can't because there is a cap. how he is going to pay port energy and the cap? by creating more jobs? with what? magic fairy money? with what? it's going to destroy jobs and/or raise the price of bread. how is that helping you? i remember now -- we're going to
3:12 pm
save the planet. that is how it's helping you. save the planet. jesus wants you to save the planet. look. here is what i think jesus wants you to do. he wants you to be a responsible citizen and don't litter. that is what jesus wants you to do. we have to share the earth and we have to go on for future generations. jesus doesn't want a cap and trade system. really? they are going to make bread, gas and everything else, the price skyrocket for something coming in a thousand years, but they don't have the political courage to fix social security. makes sense to you, america? it doesn't. you are being scammed by a group of people i call crime ink. this is the biggest crime because it's planetary wide. it's a biggest crime in our planet's history.
3:13 pm
it's how all of this works. it's the thing that makes sense. who is going to get rich? we showed you how the money goes from the chicago climate exchange, how it all got there. if you missed it go to glenn beck.com. we showed you all the board of the directors of the collaborative where a lot of the money stops. it's all the usual suspects, all of them. creating green jobs. that's right. creating jobs, right. now, what we haven't shown you, besides all the usual suspects, workers of the world unite, what we haven't shown you is the board of directors, the chicago climate exchange. by the way, the chicago climate exchange just sold to an international company. so it's global now. i haven't shown i who is on the board of directors but let meet me take you to the top of show
3:14 pm
ivy showed you these words. it was from 1990 interview. at the time by the u.n. secretary-general for the earth summit. she now one of board of directors. this is what he said. small group of world leaders were to conclude that the principle of risk on is the actions of rich countries. in order to save the planet, group decides the only hope that the industrialized civilizations collapse? i want to be very clear here because we talked to the reporter that did this interview up in canada. i want to be very clear. he was fantasize about the plot of a novel. i want to show you a list of novels that maurice strong has written before 1990. here it is. no, he has never written a
3:15 pm
novel. this is 1990 -- that sounds like a great plot. how many has he written since? none. why? wow! you know what, he has been busy. he has a great novel idea, but hasn't had time to do it because he is involved in collapsing the global economy into the hands of a global government. isn't that interesting, almost like his book. maybe it's performance art. it's not about co2 or about the planet. this is about the evil rich people of the world, remember you are the wealthiest 10 in the world -- this is about the evil, rich country. in other words, you. that is what this is about.
3:16 pm
3:18 pm
3:20 pm
>> glenn: all right. before we went to the break i was telling you about maurice strong. i want to show you his resume. this is about the new america power act. here is his picture. she currently an adviser to china. he was the godfather of the kyoto protocol. she key player in the u.n., world bank and earth council. he was once on the board of the now can he if you think commission on global governance. i guess i goat a lot of experience to write those novels when you do all those things because you're right there. he pushed to get $600 billion sent to the developing world as reparation for a essential of industrial development and
3:21 pm
degradation. take it from the rich. got it. he also was in business with al gore while he was in the senate, on environmental issues. on earth day, 1995, gore visits his company and later gets him $33 million in taxpayer money in the molten metal technology company. which is interesting because that money was government handout was the only source of income for this company. when the government started to say, i don't think we're going to pay you anymore -- it kind of folded. we stopped sending the money because when it became apparent that molten metal didn't do anything. he cashed out his stocks at the peak just before they made the announcement on a sunday. he made $15 million. everybody else lost money.
3:22 pm
he is extremely well connected and very powerful and with the world bank and everybody else. he is not just some guy. this a big fish we're bringing into the boat. i want you to, right now, if you are watching it on tivo, stop it and pause it and go to the internet. you find everything you can about this man. how many researchers do i have, how many do we have on this show? ten, ten. this stuff is out there. this guy has been saying this stuff for a long time. we need 100,000, 500,000. i need you to get on the internet because it can be confusing the president told us. i need videos, anything you can find on maurice strong and you send it to us right away, please. i can guarantee you. the reason why this phone is not
3:23 pm
ringing now because there are phone calls being made and they are scouring the internet. they are sanitizing and taking it all off. find it, now, before it's gone. we are talking about people that want to fundamentally transform the world economy. they want to set up a global governance system. we have one of those already, it's called the u.n. and we see how that worked out. remember the u.n. scandals. u.n. peacekeepers prey had on people when they were trying to protect them in numerous conscious. the congo. congo there was rape, prostitution rings. it never worked out well. one million people died in rwanda despite intelligence of the coming slaughter and they did nothing. i'm going to make something clear.
3:24 pm
right now, tin foil hat people may be watching -- it's a big global, there is a star chamber. they're not talking about global governments. they are talking about global governance. history points to it over and over time. it's about power. not your power. how do you vote the bums out at the u.n.? tell me you knew maurice strong? have you ever heard of him. he is really powerful. george soros, you knew. did you know this guy before we exposed them? do you know who they are? i think, one of my producers that will remain unnamed, one of my producers cried.
3:25 pm
she realized what we're dealing with here and who we're dealing with. it's not good stuff. they will leave the illusions in place until the "e" word. emergency arrives. 20% unemployment. dollar collapsing, greece and all of europe on fire and in chaos. yeah, what happens when the emergency arrives? germany is bailing them out now, and now the imf is saying to greece what they can and cannot do. what is their freedom? they being told who they can hire and fire. they are looking over the whole budget. that is the perfect socialist union. how is it working out? the american power act has nothing to do with american
3:26 pm
3:30 pm
a new snag in bp's latest effort to cap the oil spill in the gulf of mexico. they tried to insert a tube into the gusher to siphon off the leak. they ran into problems on their first try. ken salazar say crews will try to reinsert the tube but in the meantime, they are spraying chemical dispersants to break down the oil before it washes ashore. >> a sole survivor of the deadly plane crash in libya is now back home in the netherlands. a special medical plane carried the 9-year-old back to holland. the child's parents and brother were among the 103 that were killed. the boy was treated with multiple leg failures. i'm rick folbaum and more coming up at the top of the hour. now, back to glenn.
3:31 pm
>> glenn: all right. i told you yesterday, we are going to be exposing crime on the international level. i decided this morning before you understand the people behind this corruption, you need to understand the end game. some of the things that are happening right now. that is what we're going to focus on. there are three stories i want to talk about. they are all in the news but something is wrong. when you hear these stories, i want you to ask yourself, how is it making america a stronger nation? it's about a 76-year-old law that unions have been ruling their elections for a long time. it's been changed now by the obama administration. first change in 76 years. the national may be board made it easier for airlines and
3:32 pm
railroad workers to organize. trains are subsidized how is the union going to help here? the new rule, they could be recognized with a simple majority that cast ballots. previous rule required an okay from the entire work force. if they hold an election, you are not there. before if you didn't vote you were counted for a no vote. who pushed for the change? our good friends, afl/cio. it allows for a more and fair and consistent democratic process. they are all in there for our democracy. what is it that free press, co-founder, robert chesney said? there is no real answer but to remove brick by brick the capitalist system itself.
3:33 pm
rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles. here it is. they are socializing the workers that aren't getting the job done. they are spreading the wealth. unions are responsible, not alone. it was the management of the car companies in league with the unions. they both self did he strict, but unions played about big role in the collapse of the auto industry. why is it that we are making it easier for them to perform. what if everything is unionized. here is the next story. next story is about fannie and freddie. you might have heard, maybe not, that fannie mae is seeing $18.4 billion more of your money losing $13.1 billion in the first quarter. why is that not a bigger story?
3:34 pm
last week, freddie mac is said they would need another $10.6 billion after losing $8 billion in the first quarter. do you remember them asking this you see that? the two firms have xapd $145 billion from uncle sam's unlimited credit line. they don't have to ask you for money anymore. they just do it. they take your credit card and charge as much as they want. did you ask for this? are you for this? third story is greece. we are not only bailing ourselves out but we're trying to bail europe, as well. the imf is giving one trillion dollars to greece. the u.s. contributes 17% of the imf funds so how much are we on the hook?
3:35 pm
54 bye. that is more than the xh expects for the budget of our commerce department, our labor department our interior, the treasury. $48 billion. you have to be kidding me. that is all combined for this year. the original bailout was $787 billion. that was for us. then it was speculated to be $1.5 trillion and then it was 3 trillion. they think our bailout of us could be upwards of 20 trillion dollars. they are just charging it. what are the final answers here. where are we headed? what are we doing. we are doing this globally. what happeneda we gave the money to greece? the market crashed. now i get up this morning and i read the credit default swaps
3:36 pm
are at a high. do you know what it is? that is when they take all of the credit and bundle it together and then they bet -- it's like going to vegas -- they bet. you think they'll be able to pay it off or is it going to default. this is not about obama. this has been going on for a long time. you have to know the history of progressiveism. go to glenn beck.com and check out the present view of preventism. america's cancer. we have, did progressivism. i'm trying to correct history as fast as i can. i have made it open and free for you. go to our website and look and see if you learn anything there. back in a minute.
3:41 pm
>> glenn: imagine being diagnosed with a deadly and rare disease, what an impact it would have on you and your children and their future. i recently sat down with bruce filer and shares his inspirational journey, in a new book. >> i had cancer. i have identical twin daughters. that is one thing that we shared and would they -- three days later i woke with an idea, i would reach out ask them for the passages of my daughters' life. i i would call this council of dads. it ed up being my business
3:42 pm
partner and closest confidant. two of them are sitting beside me. i asked them to be present for my daughters and to help out in my potentially fatherless daughters. >> asked them to take a different side of me, how to live, travel, how to dream. >> glenn: what was that phone call like? did you know he was sick? >> i knew bruce was sick. none of us know about the council of dads idea until about a year or two. all of us had this experience and bruce sat down with us and asked us to do one of more profound and meaningful things. to transform my life.
3:43 pm
it was a gift to all of us. there is nothing bigger in your life that is going to happen. i didn't see it coming. we were at bruce's hospital one day. bruce was there getting some treatment. i went to visit him when i was visiting from new york. he told me this idea. it was an incredibly emotionally experience. i love his daughters patty and eden. it was very profound, but then, of course, who we are kicks in. in that moment with tears streaming down my face, i rejected the idea and told him there was going to be no need for council of dads. there will be no need for any of this because he was going to beat the cancer. he was going to live a long and healthy life. we wouldn't have to contribute anymore than we usually do to his daughters and his voice
3:44 pm
because they would be strong. >> glenn: are you cancer free? >> i am cancer free. they took out the left tumor and took my fibula and relocated it to my thigh and sent me five more months of chemo. you can just tell in the tone of what you heard from joshua and ben it was this incredible experience for my wife and me and my daughter to have all these friends. very passionate about going through difficult times in your life and what it's like to have a community of people rally around you. and what i tried to do in the council of dads capture that experience and some of the wisdom and each of these men begin to convey to my daughters. we have our children.
3:45 pm
but to bridge this gap, to bring family and friends to create almost a new kind of person, not a friend, not an uncle but these dads as we call them. it's really been a transforming experience for all of us. >> glenn: what was the most -- i'm just imagining, just imagining not being with your children -- i have children from 21 to 4 -- knowing that i won't be there for them. it has to be shock and gut-wrenching. what was the one thing that you pulled out of that and think, just this one thing, just this one thing that was important or you just couldn't bear?
3:46 pm
>> i couldn't bear thinking, what would he say now, what would he want you to be. what dream would he want you to fulfill. it was the sense of wonder i would see in their eyes that would freeze me up. when i attempted to do in the council is create and introduce welcome that their lives, men they could go to. my wife would say, what daddy be thinking about a particular situation. she said send them to uncle ben. i wanted them to know how to love the world, how to appreciate beauty. how to harvest miracle around them. i would send them to uncle
3:47 pm
3:51 pm
>> glenn: hero, its powerful word that describes extraordinary people but what are the characters? best selling author answers his new book "heroes for mine" -- how long did ago it was talk. you write comic books. my son didn't know what hero was. can't be a hero and here you are writing this book. explain. >> eight years ago, my son was born. i said i'm going to write a book
3:52 pm
that will last his whole life. he'll think i'm such a genius but i was a father. it was day one being a dad. a friend of mine told me the story of wright brothers. they would bring materials for multiple crashes, every time they went out they knew it would fail. they would crash and rebuild. that is what my son to hear that story. i want to make him know that if you have perseverance you can do anything in this world. >> glenn: one of my heroes is george washington. tell me what you have. >> this book is filled with heroes through history. from jim henson to rosa park. george washington is in there because the moment after they won the war, king george senz to
3:53 pm
benjamin west, the painter, what is it going to do now. he says he is going home. if he does that he will be the greatest man in the world. and he is a hero because he had faith not just in this country but in us. he forgo the power. my son recently reading the book together and i asked him who is your favorite hero. he said george washington. he could have been king. >> glenn: it's amazing. washington was such a hero, all the way up to 20th century. he was the hero of everyone. we didn't need term limits because nobody was going to serve more terms than he did. >> that is what i mention in the book. he could have served that. he said, no, i'm done.
3:54 pm
we know abraham lincoln and we know thomas jefferson. thomas jefferson is in the book because he never took credit for writing the declaration while he was alive. that is the greatest thing in western civilization. it wasn't after he died that the average person found out about it. i want my son to learn that. >> your favorite hero? >> my mother. the most important pages is my mom. my mom on the day that my publisher was shutting down, worst day in my life, i called her up terrified that someone was going to take over my contract. she said i love you if you were a garbage man. the most important page in the book is the last page. on the last page is blank. your hero is here and this book is for all the fathers out there
3:55 pm
and the grandfathers. i can't wait to see when they put this book out there, when they write in their grandmother, their mom. >> only here is the thing, america we have a shortage of heroes. they are here but we don't talk about them. unless they are wearing a cape, america doesn't talk about them anymore. heroes for my son, i highly recommend it. great place to start. thank you.
