12:04 am
my case is, there are races all over this country of democrats who are supposedly invincible and unbeatable. when you poll those districts you find they are ahead 45-41 they can be defeated. i found one in florida, mike youst running against brown, a 22 year democratic liberal. he could defeat her. tomorrow go to dickmorris.com every morning i have a blog about the campaign. tomorrow, i'm launching a new pact which is going to concentrate on the 60th, 70th, 80th, 90th and 100th seat. there are districts out there like barney frank's and steny hoyer's and denying -- and dingle in the house where you can defeat him if you advertise and do an independent expenditure. we are hopeful to raise 10 million dollars to do that.

i think we are going to win 60 to 80 seats, we are going to win the senate. it is conceivable we could win as many as 100. >> sean: the one thing that is fascinating to me as i have many friends running for office, you read the polls, you are as good a poll reader as anybody i know in the country, dick, we all know already, no democrat is running on the stimulus, cap and tax, on health care -- >> they have no message. >> sean: they have no message. politics of personal destruction, that rules the day. as i read the internals, there are still many people that don't know where their congressman or woman stands. i think these congressmen and women have done effective job going back to their districts, portraying themselves for something they are not. which is moderate. their votes show a different story. we got 29 days to go, your message to candidates to circumvent that propaganda.

12:19 am
>> well, sean, sean, bill clinton could be for anything on any given day and convince the american people that he has always sincerely from the beginning of his life always been there. he was a really good politician. president obama was the most liberal member of the united states senate for the four years served there. that is hard to do. >> sean: you don't see him learning from the clinton model? at last trying -- look the era of big government is over, end of welfare as we know it. you don't hear those words coming out of barack obama's mouth? >> no. i know republicans if we get back in charge, we are gonna fight for a smaller, less costly more accountable government. to the extent the president wants to work with us, we welcome his support. >> sean: how much can you accomplish in a divided government situation? you can repeal health care he's not going to sign it. you can cut spending he's not going to go along. what does that mean?

fairly blue state, it can go republican, but blue state. murray is the fourth ranking democrat in the senate. what story is it that you want to tell in this election that is going to make the difference and push you over-the-top? >> it is a simple story. we have an incumbent, 18 year incumbent senator number four in leadership, ranked the most liberal senator in washington, d.c. by the nonpartisan national journal. we have a good narrative. the other thing, she has helped create these large deficits. she's a budget writer. she voted against the balanced budget amendment in 1995 that was nine trillion dollars a ago. as a state senator i'm credited with the guy balanced the biggest deficit in our state history without raising taxes first time that has happened, major deficit that did not result in tax increases. i still protected the

12:29 am
people are willing to listen to other ideas when they are broke and out of work and worried about the future and their house is worth a quarter less than it was before. it doesn't have to be this way. i really believe that we can go in a different direction that we'll put people back to work. >> sean: if had you to grade barack obama at this point what grade would you give him? >> same as patty murray because she has vote with him every step of the way and every step of the way she has been will killing jobs. as low a grade as you can give. unfortunately, she think she is doing the right thing, heading in the wrong direction. we will compare and contrast. for small businesses to be successful, they need modest taxation, let people chase the american dream. when they are successful you don't punish them for their success because you want them to do it again and again. i come from a small business back tkwrupb. i started in the commercial real estate -- background.

the grounds of residency. my residency in chicago is as good as his. and i've already got the new york sun endorsing me. the washington times will endorse me before the week is out i have papers behind me. >> sean: are you running for o'mayor of chicago? >> i'm going to run for mayor of chicago and i'm going to focus attention, rahm bow has been a bull -- rahm bow has been a bully all his life because he graduated from a girl's college. >> sean: does he have eligibility problems? >> on the surface it appears to be but it will be handled in the courts. let's look at this race carefully. emanuel has a money base, organizational base and the other thing he will have, daley will endorse him before the race is off. congressman gutierrez has a large hispanic following, i think will get out the race.

jesse jackson, jr. will not be in the race. so it will be emmett firsts ram beau. i -- rahmbo. >> sean: interesting side note even mayor daley suggested if rahmbo runs and he thinks obama support is going to help, he thinks no way. >> certainly obama's standing is not what it once . it is chicago and i think we have to concede this is not a place where normal rules away there's going to be all sorts of machinations twine the scenes. those who want residency rules to apply as written and those who want to use them as an excuse to make sure this doesn't happen. one of the finest practitioners of the fine art of applying rules to their benefit was state senator obama. we understand how the game is played. >> i'm going to throw my case on the mercy of the court. >> in chicago? [ laughing ]
12:49 am
>> on the mercy of the court. let's remember rahmbo is not well liked by the chicago. >> nobody ever accused you of not taking a long shot at things. the sun's endorsement is not going to do you a lot of good in chicago. in chicago there's a lot of people running in that race already who have talked about it. it will be whittled down quickly. you have to have a runoff. the daley machine is still alive and there are some alderman who are going to run that used to be part of the daley machine. >> sean: we are 29 days out, you are predicting that the democrats lose the house of representatives. any way they can recover? >> i think they are recovering a little now. the real problem is in the midwest. any place long highway 70, pennsylvania five seats in jeopardy, five seats in ohio two in indiana. and a couple old time democrat conservative democrats in the south who have been there for
12:50 am
years. also skeleton in missouri those are the rays i worry about. election in delaware that rather unusual -- >> sean: you are doing well. you are challenging republicans. you want them to be more aggressive in early of their promises to first principles? >> that's right with the independent women's voice has come out with the repeal pledge which we are doing with american majority. it has its own website repeal pledge.com. different from other repeal pledges. we understand that there will be what is effectively a symbolic vote on repeal, should the republicans win the majority that is going to be vetoed. question is what are you going to do to vote beast, if you are serious about repeal? this is what we would call a process-driven pledge it is saying put up or shut. show us you are ready to walk the talk and you are going to do all the things you need to
12:51 am

12:55 am
information? that's like what it is in england. in england their burp -- their burden of proof is the other way lots of lawsuits. >> i think so. >> you do? >> absolutely. i say that as somebody who would like to see bill o'reilly and sean hannity off the air. >> sean: whatever happened to free speech. i'm not taking it personally. >> it is not a two-way street for them. because if somebody said from the other side of the spectrum i wish they would get rid of keith olbermann, they wouldn't think that was funny. >> sean: i don't want any liberal off the air. >> because we understand what free speech is about. it is not the ground zero mosque situation where you have double standards about what is considered appropriate in terms of tolerance. we forget because something is legal doesn't necessarily make it right. >> another example of their grandiosey. the same kind of grandiosey
12:56 am
win with those people that you see with the liberals across the country why they have lost touch with the american people. they think in their imperial way they say you should be off the air and you will be off the air. >> have you seen some of the conservatives -- you talk about losing touch with reality in america. i think it is terrible somebody would want you off the air. not only you my friend, i want you on the air the more you are on the air i can recruit liberals. >> sean: fair enough. we had connecticut senate debate, mcmahon and blumenthal this is the latest mcmahon ad. something interesting happened tonight during the debate. >> my plan would aid small businesses in creating jobs by targeting those tax cuts to small businesses. i would vote immediately. and i'm only candidate here who would vote immediately for middle class tax cut. >> you keep saying middle class tax cut. but i'm absolutely saying we
12:57 am
shouldn't raise taxes on anyone. and what will happen under mr. blumenthal's plan, 12 1/2 billion dollars would leave connecticut to go to washington so they could spend it. >> sean: that was the debate. now let me show you the ad. >> announcer: would you lie about serving in the war? >> we have learned something very important since the days i served in vietnam. >> announcer: blumenthal did again and again. >> when we returned, we sought nothing of this gratitude. >> announcer: he covered one lie with another. >> the day i served in vietnam. >> announcer: he lied about vietnam, what else is he lying about? >> that's a great ad. >> sean: i was asking -- >> i'm sorry. >> sean: go ahead. >> the three of you answer then i will have a chance to say something, slightly, go ahead. >> should we let him go? >> say the obvious. this is obviously what the man's like, he's a liar!
12:58 am
did i say the right thing? >> what he doesn't produce is women running wild which is pornography, which is what she produced and paid for. she also avoided taxes. lousy candidate and connecticut has a large number of independent voters. independent voters are going to break heavily against her. there's not a chance in the world, i'm willing to bet you the ownership of the american spectator that she loses this race big. >> you are betting not big enough. you are so wrong and you should take the bet. [ talking over each other ] >> i just did the largest survey of independents with doug schoen. one of the things that was most interesting, 65% to 15% they prefered a businessperson with experience in creating jobs and no political background to somebody who is a long time government -- a large part of the debate was he was trying to tag her with wanting to lower the minimum wage.
12:59 am
she said to him, how do you create a job? he tried to answer she said, no you create job bay giving money to small business people, letting them invest it, grow it and let them do it again. that's what creates jobs. [ talking over each other ] >> sean: we went through this fallacy that government is going to create jobs, we are losing jobs left and right. >> i still get back to my point. this woman is a pornographer. >> she is not. >> are you going to defend women run wild? >> i think women are performers in different venues. >> her movies -- [ talking over each other ] >> that is not the issue. >> vietnam is an issue but that is not? >> the issue is creating jobs. >> she created a lot of jobs. most of those young girls are going on to success, i'm sure. >> if you want to deny those jobs and -- i'm denying pornogy
