on fox news. the o'reilly factor is next. i'm on the o'reilly factor tonight, so tune in. interview on fbn. if you don't get it -- if you don't get it -- >> demand it! captioned by closed captioning services, inc >> glenn: welcome to the "glenn beck program." gang, it's time to buckle up. i think everything that is happening around the globe is coming to our shores. they told you on what was it? friday or thursday, the seasons are changing. here's people in europe. there is civil unrest and people are taking to the streets over the austerity cuts, which will cause people to lose their jobs. but it is necessary, the cuts that must be made. unions and communists are refusing to back down. now they're starting to inflame the middle class. trouble in europe. even the u.n. said last week that the global unemployment crisis will stir social unrest, including here in the united states. economists are now warning that the world is becoming unstable.

now, mounting chatter by jihadi extremists has europe bracing for another terrorist attack. can you imagine what a large terrorist attack would do now to europe and the world's economy? and the border. the border here in the united states, the violence in mexico is still out of control. first in the last few days you had a tourist shot by drug cartel pirates jet skiing on a border lake in texas. then there was an explosion that injuried 15 people including half a dozen kids. as young as three years old. what is really frightening, the thing that i think most people is missing. they are missing now that the drug cartels are reportedly targeting civilian population to "cause chaos." why would you do that? well, what you're seeing is what we have been talking about in this book for the last year-and-a-half. "the coming insurrection." we're at the beginning of the seasons changing.

we have to decide as a people how are we going to tackle these problems? there is a choice. in europe it's the labor unions and the communists pushing the protest. speaking of which, that choice is being presented to us as well. at the foot of the lincoln memorial again at washington, d.c. well were presented with a similar choice. we'll compare and contrast 8-28 and what happened this weekend with 10-2-10. but we'll only use the facts and pictures. next. ♪ ♪ >> hello, america. i want to tell you that we have some pretty shocking video for you at the bottom of the hour that was placed on theblaze.com earlier this morning.

it is horrifying. absolutely horrifying. we'll show it to you but i warn you this is a show you want to tivo if you have kids in the room and you want to see it first. start with what happened over the weekend. i want to ask a question. a question that i asked you last week. who are we? who are we? critical that you know the answer to this question yourself. you really are the leader. looking for another great leader. that is you. it's critical that you know these answers yourself. more critical that you get others to start thinking about their answer to this question. who are we as people? are we really just about the money? are we willing to do anything for money or security? how many people do you know who are living in la-la land and are oblivious to what is

coming on shore? yet, we're presented with a choice. it will come down, at some point we'll look back in history and the world will say how did they miss this? here are the questions and here is a choice. do we believe in a free market or do we believe in government-controlled entities? hard work or handouts? perm responsibilities or bail-outs? individual liberty or controlled liberty? which is it? is america made up of problem-solvers or whiners? haven't we always been the first ones to lead by example and respond with money, food and support when disaster strikes another country? we're always the first in. we are the ones that run into burning buildings not out of them. we're the first to come to the rescue of other companies when they're facing adversity. when the world was facing communism, the united states defeated it. when the world was facing

fascism, the united states helped defeat it. do we still believe in that america? are we still the america that did go to the moon? or are we the america that is believing the moon landing deniers now and saying well, they never did that? is america special? is it different from the rest of on the world? has god done with the freedom we enjoyed in this country? is he neutral? is he like ah, whatever? is he? the world in longer need of miracles, like rescuing afghanistan citizens; particularly, women? as much as i despite the fact that the men and women are still over in afghanistan fighting this ridiculous war at this point, do you know how much good we have done? do you know how many women and girls we have saved from brutal regimes that allowed

the women to be raped, just because they were walking down the street they could rape them? is america done? are we done? does america have any value left anymore? or has the ship sailed? one thing for america to collectively decide we're tired of bailing out the world. i am. i am sick and tired of being the world's policeman. but what happens when america is no longer able to help? who does the world turn to then? when the united states doesn't have any clout, any power, and we can't say anything anymore, who does the world turn to? canada? no offense, canada. i love you. you may be the one who has to step in the role now. is canada capable of doing it? australia? england, they've got their hands full. they're on the verge of collapse. you could go to u.n. they're great in strongly

worded letters but how many rwandas have to happen when america doesn't lead the way before we figure out the u.n. is useless? where would we be, where would the world be without an america? who is going to replace us? china? brazil? you see, when you look at this and you realize that to those who have been given much, much is required. not expected. required. isn't it our moral responsibility to pass on freedom to the next generation? to pass on an america that is at least capable of providing liberty for its people? people will and have already including our president, begun to blame america for all the problems of the world. i saw this in bloomberg today. has been three years since america began dragging the

world into its deepest recession in seven decades. it was america that did that? we did that. it was just us. see, they're already blaming it on us. what are they going to do? what is the world going to do? are they going to punish us? it's our fault. told you this before, that we'll be set up as the bad guys. it's our fault so if we did it to everybody else, don't you think every third world dictator, everybody in the world so they don't get thrown out of office will say it's america's fault? let me ask you this. do they forgive our trespasses as we have forgiven others their debts? i don't think so. what is their solution? besides punishment or to make sure that we pay, did you know that germany just paid the debt for world war i? they just made the last payment last week for world war i. do you think they'll ever get off our backs and stop taking

stuff from us? no. no one will forgive us. their solution is global government, socialism or communism which has failed over and over again. i told you time and again that the question is not do we have communist and revolutionary and socialist around the president and the white house. the real question we should have been asking from the beginning is does it matter that we have communists in and around the white house? we already know the answer now to the first one. it's yes. but here is what i said over a year ago. or maybe not. do we have it? >> the lesson i say is may we ask the right question. the question we should have been asking from the beginning is if it is true, does it matter? the same thing is repeating

itself over and over and over again. these are marxists. no they're not. yes, they are. no, they're not. yes, they are. for almost a year now. ask yourself if it were true, if it were true, would it matter? >> glenn: somebody here at fox told me we should have bumper stickers -- this is two years ago -- that said, "what if glenn beck is right?" does it matter? the answer to the does it matter question is a resounding no apparently. over the weekend, there was a rally in washington, d.c. it was for one nation. well, we showed you the list of the groups that endorsed the event. they were planning on attending. there they are, the one nation, working together. they were working together. i was accused of making stuff up when i said communists were planning to head to the mall in washington, d.c. but it wasn't some conspiracy. i came back the next day and i pointed out the facts.

i showed you -- here they are. socialist of america. socialist organization. this is campus progressives. this is it. i came on and i showed you the list. links of their website. showed you what they were saying. they were organizing for it. i was told that it didn't matter. it didn't matter. now even the people who organize this said it didn't matter. when the president of the naacp asked about the communist and socialist groups attending, he said, "this is a big tent. anyone who wants to stand up to create jobs and defend the jobs of teachers, police officers, nurses, firefighters, i same come on and join us." communists? communists! revolutionaries. people who have called for destruction of america. you're okay? what kind of jobs are they creating? does it matter, america. the radical eshowed up. oh, they did. how do i know this?

well, i mean, it's one thing to say hey, i think that guy might be a socialist. another when they carry giant signs bragging about it. socialism is an a terptive. capitalism is failing. capitalism sucks. this is a scary group. they are not ashamed of the fact. they're embracing the ideologies. i guess they should be. socialism and communism has been tried every time they've been tried. they end every time in mass murder. why not? why not? this is the exact antithesis of the principles america was founded on. our children and these guys don't know because they're not taught this in school can america. no one is taught about the evils of socialism or communism. we were founded on the exact opposite principles as this.

and yet, they're excited about it. [ cheering ] >> glenn: all right. they're over 400 progressive special interest group that brought signs and t-shirt. i want to compare and contrast the crowds. their signs. what were they wearing? what were they wearing over the weekend and what was the crowd wearing at 8-28? america, i want you to ask the question. which group best represents a brighter future for america? is it this one? or is it this one? at 8-28, there weren't any signs because the people who came weren't professional protesters or agitators. they came for the day.

the regular working stiffs, moms and dads, people like you who care about america and are willing to do the hard work and are concerned about their country. this isn't a group of freaks. these are your neighbors. if you remember after 8-28, here is who the huffington post said was a crazy person. there's one of the crazy people right there. he has a flag t-shirt, and a hat that says, "got freedom?" saluting. here is the red, whited and blue on 8-28. now, let's compare that with the shirts they were wearing on saturday. on saturday they were all wearing union shirts. which one is more like you? the union shirt paid for with your union dues? or just coming with your shirt and a flag? which one? which one is crazy? which one is normal?

i wasn't there but the crowd was unengaged, apathetic and barely paying attention. by the time the last speaker spoke, no one was there. there was 100 people. there came. it was a nice day, they had a free lunch and picnic on the mall. that's great. doesn't bother me if that's the way you want to spend your union dues. that's totally cool. i'd probably put it in a pension fund. that's fine. i'm not a member of the union. you may be. others were told to go, according to a union leader in new york. he told, they had to go. this is at the end of 8-28. here are the people engaged at the end of 8-28. you will see, this is what is happening on stage. can we get a crowd shot? is there a crowd shot coming?

this is what is going on. soon, i'm sure there is a crowd shot coming. pretty sure there is. i want to show you what was happening on saturday. some of the crowd. he's a crazy man. and here it is on 10-2-10 on saturday. then there was this. >> if you believe people are entitled to living conditions -- >> glenn: watch the crowd. >> -- healthcare, quality education, say "i believe." >> i believe! >> glenn: america, which one is authentic and which one is apathetic? many at 10-#-10 didn't know why they were there. they were just told to go. the ones who were there, they really did believe in something. there were a lot that really

did believe in something. but when you talk to them, it really didn't make it much better. watch. >> the violence is an abstract question. it's a simple matter it is going to happen in reality. it's not a moral question, where is it right or wrong to resist? it's right to fight. as a result, you are going to have to fight. violence against a capitalist class in this instance would be just fine. a civil war between the classes. >> glenn: a class war. are you more this? or this at 8-28? >> i want people to be filled with real hope and conviction, that anything is possible in america. we know who we are and we believe in each other. >> glenn: america, we're headed toward tough times. we're headed toward tough times. who do you want by your side? this guy or this guy?

here is crowd at 8-28 saying the "pledge of allegiance." >> i pledge allegiance to the flag, of the united states of america. to the republic for which it stands, one nation -- >> glenn: notice the hands. >> -- under god, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. [ applause ] >> glenn: if you looked at the crowd, you could see the people were engaged and they were also, they had their hand on their heart. we have don't have any video because it was pre-show where they did -- why put the "pledge of allegiance" in the show? here is the crowd prior to broadcast on saturday. this is the "pledge of allegiance." how do you know? pledge, pledge, pledge, pledge, pledge. wrong hand. which one offers hope for

america's future? understanding its past and honoring its traditions. one of the most amazing thing about 8-28, and i saw reporters that went. one reporter said he walked from this corner over to this corner by the mall. by the ellipse. he said he walked the entire space and he couldn't find a single spot of paper. it was left spotless after the event. here we are, and we're talking about half a million people in the sun. virtually nothing left behind. >> a few pictures. look at the green space. this is after the event. this is the mall after. these are people leaving 8-28 event. wait until i show you what happened here. when we come back.

garbage -- it was in bags. i don't know if people brought their own bags or what. remember, these are people who supposedly hate the environment. last weekend, these are the ecofriendly crowd. how could the same people who are forcing me to drive an suv have no problem leaving the nation's capitol with messes everywhere? everywhere. america, choose. which one. through their actions, not their words, anybody can give good speeches and just, you know, tax people to death. which one cares about the planet here? which one worries about trash and garbage? there is a lot of talk about the difference between the two, but i want to show you something that i found horribly shocking. i want to show you the world war ii memorial. look at this video.

this is the after the rally. brand new world war ii memorial. look at the trash left everywhere. here is something from the 8-28 crowd. this guy was at the vietnam memorial and he was saying goodbye to a friend. here is the difference. at the 8-28 rally, there were tons of people like this that had served before in a war. here, there were the anti-war protesters. which one are you? which one offers you the brighter few cheer? which one offers your family protection? this one or this one? if you understand the anti-war people. war, what is it good for? saving your ass and your freedom. that's what it is. but if you understand the anti-war people, war and corporate greed are destroying our country you understand why they left litter at the world war ii memorial. it doesn't matter to them.

they don't respect the sacrifice. people who were -- oh, was that hitler? there is no sacrifice. freedom to these people is really free. why not trash the memorial? it's meaningless. at 8-28, vets would have wept. no, they probably would have taken care of business and then left if we would have left the world war ii, greatest generation memorial in the shape these people left it in. we are facing a choice, america. it's okay to be on one side of the other. i'm over here and i'd gladly stand over here with these people. people who don't want to fundamental transform america to something else, those who want to address the problems that we have. there is a ton of problems. we're not perfect. we spent ourselves into oblivion and it's not barack obama's fault. there is real racists. but there is real good people, too. there are good things.

we don't throw the baby out with the bath water. or these people. communists, socialists, revolutionaries. which are you? it's fascinating to me that we are making the choice again, the same choice we made in 1969. i think of us, myself, as people who figured out how to go to the moon and come back in one piece. innovators who shook the world and said we could push it even further. but not everybody remembers it that way. the summer of 1969 was also remembered for something else. woodstock. hippies having sex in the mud. doing gown, reaching the highest heights man has ever reached. some of the lowest lows that man has reached. but the music was great. the rally was built over the weekend as the biggest collection of radicals since the 1960s.

it's true. it's the same people doing it. which event better represents who we are and where we want to be? which one do you want your children to grow up in? this world or this world? which one of them will push them and encourage them to be a better person and a better country? this one or this one? this is the split. this is the choice. a final note on this. everybody in the media is making a big deal about the number of people who attended. i don't care. the rally kicked off with quite the claim, however. watch the claim. >> fit in a satellite image of the crowd. somebody go tell glenn beck there are more people here right now than there was on the 29th!

>> glenn: "on the 29th." that might be true. i don't have pictures of the mall on the 29th. the rally happened on the 28th. there probably were more people there than on the 29th but i guess he misspoke. if there were more people, that would be fine. i know i was just wrong. but maybe if you take 400 powerful organizations with the help of the federal government and the office of the president of the united states, you can move mountains. move mountains. but what is interesting to me is the media isn't given an estimate on the side of this crowd. i'll try to be fair. friends called and said there is 10,000 people there. no there is not. maybe 100,000 people there. be honest. 100,000 people. i'm guessing. i know how the park service would estimate the crowd. they did it prior to mine. they said if it fills this much it's et cetera, et cetera. whatever itsy. 's about 100,000 people.

but it was significantly less than what came to 8-28. here is how i know. the shot from the washington memorial. here is the shot. you see this is green space. significant green space here. no crowd in here. no crowd over here. nobody at the vietnam memorial here. here is the exact same shot taken during 8-28. lots of people here. people here. people here. people all through these trees. people here. and through the vietnam memorial. cbs said we had 80,000 people on 8-28. if that's true, how many were here on saturday? five? cbs, would you like to give an estimate? there were less people. it doesn't matter. it's not like there is less people or, you know, less people that are democrats in america. we're pretty evenly divided. we're about 35% independents now. 33% republican.

33% democrat. this isn't about the democrats. this is the far left! far left. america, you're not up against the democrats. democrats, you're not up against republicans. you're up against these people. the good news is you surround them. you have to decide. does it matter that our president and our congress is running our country with the advice and the counsel and the aid and support of the communist party usa? does it matter? i say yes.

are not happy with their newborns, perhaps because they're disabled but you can do it for any reason should have the legal right to kill their babies up to 28 days after birth. he even goes on to suggest that there is nothing morally wrong with killing even older babies before the point at which they become self-aware, which is usually around 2. we're teaching this. these are the same people, the same beginning of the same trail that led to trouble and awful things in china. and russia. and germany. people who said it was humane to put people out of their misery. in their arrogance. notice that it was ms. ironside that wasn't even aware that she said something as the host put it, what was it? pretty horrifying? listen again. >> that was a pretty
