columbia. he had a lot of support from the united states. does president obama need to do the same thing in mexico. >> we have had a basis for it with the agreement that calderon and bush signed. but a lot of that assistance has gotten through. it is not used effectively by the mexicans . we can see the affect of the drug violence inside of mexico. you mentioned the statistics. federal governments and journalist assassinated and travel warnings by the u.s. state department warning americans of the bad condition and the violence and danger spreading over across the american border and areas in the states that border on the mexico where legitimate residents fear to go under dark because it is not under our control.

they were 10 feet away . by the sound of that siren they have broken through . the drill made its way in the dangerous part and now what is happening the triumph today. the whole nation is rejoicing and they will be tested for the stability. a successful break through live to the miners and 33 of them down there more than two months and now the rock will be tested and tested and stable in good shape. effort to bring them pull out to the surface once the rock is checked. it is not a quick process. it will take an hour for each of the 33 miners to be pulled up and not a smooth process either. this is something that is not done before. it could be a long wait and two day process in all.

saying that they are children were bullied to death. they say the school knew about the problem, but did nothing to prevent it. we're joined by family members of two the students eric's mother and a sister. >> an attorney for the families. thank you for being here, jan, i want to start with you and ask you about erik's experience at school, your son. did you know he was being bullied? >> we were told by eric a week before he died, he came home and indicated that his math teacher had finally ringed out the bullies and we had no idea before that. what he had said was that the teacher put them in their place and then we asked, we said should we get involved? he said no. we had planned on talking with him a week later. never had that opportunity.

>> it's so heart breaking that you didn't have that opportunity. do you know what happened in that last week that made him feel so despondent? >> yes, he was-- things like having things thrown into his hoody, shoved into a locker, books knocked out of his hands. calling, called fag, queer, gay. and i believe the piece, the piece that pushed him over the top was the bullies said to eric, eric, why don't you go home and shoot yourself. it's not like anyone would care. >> we should mention this is all at mentor high school outside of east cleveland and su suzanna, i want to bring you in, at the very same high school, this is what happened to her. what happened. >> she was constantly bullied and crying almost every day, not wanting to move back to that school. her lockers on her and almost

got her hands and she was pushed down the stairs, she was called different names like a vagina and she was called whore and slut. >> did your family ask your cool to intervene or alert the school. >> yes, so constantly after each situation that happened to her we would go next day to school, i would go with my parents orin get a translator or my sister would translate for them and they would try to solve the problem and the school officials were always telling us they're going to take care of it, help us and make sure they're selected and never get the promise. >> and i know the families are suing for something called bull-icide. tell us about the lawsuits. >> both are in progress or

separate lawsuits. it means that the school district knew something was going on and failed to prevent it and the schools to some extent do have an obligation to protect students that can't protect everything that goes on. but something this egregious, our position is they did have to stop it and that's what the lawsuits are about. >> we want to give our viewers and the parents listening tools so they never find themselves in the tragic situation and another guest right now. made it her mission to teach families and schools how to cope with bullying. the director of training with children and nonprofit and runs anti-bullying work shops that offers support to more than 10,000 at risk children and you have 22 different schools in the new york area right now and how do you get schools to pay attention to families like this. >> we need to start by training, a partnership of children has been around for 103 years and we believe in working with the whole child,

but it's important for a school to train staff around addressing issues of bullying, creating a zero violence pole in the schools and providing social skills to children so they, they learn not to use violence. >> look, it's not just violence. you hear from the families that it's name calling. it's all sorts of verbal torment. are schools atuned to that? >> he think they're attuned, but you still have staff or you may have people really that this is a rite of passage or something that happens to children and it's not. it's really, it's a horrible, terrifying situation and schools really do need to work with the staff in training them that this is a serious issue that's fot going to go away unless there's adult intervention and we're talking about a partnership with children. we work with the schools, the school staff need to work with the parents to ensure that students, the bully learns other ways to handle or manage their feelings, that victims, also, the victim, the child that's being bullied needs to

>> parents, you're going to want to hear the next story because there's a whooping cough outbreak in california. more than 5,000 cases reported just this year alone and that's the highest number since the 1950's. so, last week, a new law was passed in the state requiring that all 7th to 12th graders get booster shots before starting school next fall. some parents are afraid that this vaccination mandate could do more harm than good. we're joined by moira, the california mother who did not want her child to be vaccinated and fox news medical contributor mark segal to let us understand what's going on here. moira, we know that whooping

cough is a dangerous and deadly illness, so, why wouldn't you want your daughter vaccinated against it? >> well, my son had negative reaction to both-- actually three shots dpt is the last two, he had a very bad reaction, both of which we ended in the er with a high fever and shortly after he regressed and developed autism. so we're concerned that our family may be vulnerable and therer to, i can't in clear conscience, after seeing what happened to my son, make the same choice for my daughter so, yes, i'm very concerned that we might be part of a sub set of people that cannot handle the vaccination. >> that makes perfect sense and your logic sounds accurate, but what will you do come september about this mandate and that your child won't be able to go to school? >> well, actually, there are exemptions that are available and i will exercise my philosophical exemption to this vaccine and there are--

that's what other parents can do. it's right on the back of the vaccine schedule that you're supposed to fill out for your paper work with the school district. you can flip it over and you can sign that exemption and i will be exercising that right. >> for philosophical or religious exemption. i want to bring in dr. mark segal. obviously, i know you believe in getting the vaccines to combat the outbreaks, how can you argue with moira's logic. >> i would never-- a mother knows her children better than any scientist or any doctor and she's totally entitled to this belief. but vaccines have been studied and studied and satisfiedtudied i'd like to see-- for vaccines to work we have to have herd immunity. we're finding that the whopping cough vaccine wears off quickly and the reason we're seeing a resurgence in
