they did raise, but typically events like this can pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars. >> thank you, phil. america's top diplomat condemning the release of the iraq war logs, and it would be the biggest leak of classified information in u.s. history. documents posted on wikileaks suggest more iraqi civilians died than officials admitted following the start of iraqi freedom. the reports also claim the u.s. didn't follow up on evidence that some iraqi security forces tortured or killed captives. we cannot confirm the ore -- or contents, but the pentagon is conducting a thorough review. wikileaks angered military brass after releasing thousands of payments or afghan par documents. officials say the leak put lives in danger. the pentagon has made similar

comments, and now al mall ky is questioning the timing. what were the most explosive revelations? >> it's the scale of the civilian deaths. more than 109,000 iraqis killed, two-thirds of them civilians. then there were the repeated instances of u.s. coalition troops reportedly turning a blind eye to torture and abuse by their iraqi partners in 2005, members of the second brigade combat team in baghdad found 173 iraqis detained by iraqi police, quote, many of them bore marks to include cigarette burns, bruises, and are being described as the walking wounded. the detain -- 95 detainees were

suicide bombers attack a united nations office in

afghanistan. it happened west of kabul. the attackers drove up to the gate of the compound and fired a rocket at the entrance but failed to blow it up. three people wearing explosive vests and burk coulds got out of the car, and the driver blew the vehicle up, killing himself and destroying the gates. the militants were then able to get inside the compound armed with ak-47s, security forces opened fire and killed the attackers. no u.n. employees were hurt. a quick programming note, don't miss a special edition of "geraldo at large." he is with the 101st air borne division and will talk with general dave petraeus only only fox news channel. >> with election day a little more than a week away, one of the key congressional seats is still hanging in the balance. a turf war is happening in california. the seven-term orange county

the pentagon reviewing a flood of newly released iraq war documents on wikileaks. the documents are stayed to contain previously classified information spanning several years. the report also claims the u.s. failed to act on evidence that some iraqi forces tortured or killed captives. it's the second major release of its kind. the web site released thousands of documents on the war in afghan. wikileaks officials saying today they plan to release more documents soon. president obama back on the campaign trail. today stumping for democrats in minneapolis, headlining for a rally for democrat mark dayton, who is running for governor. the event marks the end of a four-day campaign tour for the president. and republicans also in full force today. former alaska governor sarah palin, and rnc chairman, michael

expected to the nation's first animal abuse registry. >> local officials on long island estimate animal because there has spiked 20% in the last two years, and they say its linked to the downturn in the economy because some people don't have the resources to properly care for their petpets any longer, and some others abandoned their foreclosed homes and leave their animals to die. animal abusers will now go on a registry like the one for sex offender, and they will be required to give the county all their personal info and 50 bucks every year for five years. pet stores and breeders have to reference the registry before selling pets to anyone, and the main goal is to keep innocent and unharmed pets out of the hand of known offenders.
