yesterday we saw that deficient staying from the tornado that killed 122 in joplin, missouri. meteorologist janice dean tells us what is behind these storms. but first a reporter in oklahoma city joins us on the phone. robbie, tell me what happened in oklahoma? >> we have storms that basically hit in every region of oklahoma. 14 communites right now are experiencing or have seen heavy tornado damage throughout the state of oklahoma. four people are confirmed dead. 60 others are injured. 58,000 people don't have power throughout the state. >> greta: i take it robbie it is still being assessed. i know it hit during rush hour particularly unfortunate time. i take it there is still a huge assessment going on? >> absolutely. emergency crews and the emergency management department of the state of

oklahoma is still assessing damage throughout the state. we're not gonna know at least until tomorrow how bad this was. >> greta: where were you when it touched down or started the path of destruction through oklahoma? >> when it first started, i was at the station in northwest oklahoma city. i was sent out to go to a town called chickasha west of oklahoma city. i never encountered any tornadoes. but i listened to to it the entire time i was driving. >> greta: i obviously had a mispronounciation at the top of the show. in terms of this tornado, were the people in oklahoma given any warning. hurricanes you get warning with the funny alerts sent out? >> slaughtly. we knew there morning there was a chance for severe weather.

the meteorologists in the oklahoma city area and all over the state were working very hard to put the word out that something bad will happen and you need to get out of its way or get into a safe spot. >> greta: robbie, thank you. >> thank you ma'am. >> greta: why are we getting slammed by so many tornadoes? janice dean joins us live. janice, robbie just called it is veer weather. which is an understatement if nothing else. why are we getting all these tornadoes? >> big deal is that these tornadoes are hitting densely populated cities. we had joplin, missouri. oklahoma city today. and dallas, texas now. last month we had 875 reports of tornadoes. again, in heavily populated cities. raleigh, north carolina. tuscaloosa, alabama. we are seeing large long lasting destructive tornadoes

moving through cities where millions of people reside this is dallas, texas right now. i'm really nervous. we are going to wake up tomorrow and see major damage across dallas, texas. we've been under a tornado warning for the last several minutes. they've extended it for the next 45 minutes. there are reports of people on the ground that have seen this tornado. we actually saw it just about half an hour ago on that tower cam that you just saw. a large wedge tornado through the dallas, ft. worth metroplex, incredible. we are hoping everyone is heeding those warnings and taking shelter immediately. getting reports at the dsw airport people are asked to stay away from windows and take shelter immediately. dire situation unfolding right now. unfortunately, as we go through the overnight hours, the risk is not over. people hopefully, will not be sleeping they will be

listening to their noaa weather radios, this will be ongoing overnight into tomorrow. several tornado watches in effect that means conditions are favorable for tens. right now the big concern is our tornado warning for the dallas ft. worth area, dallas county, northwest kaufman, rockwell county as well. storm spotters and doppler enter kating a tornado near highland park. this has a history of producing tornado damage in the metroplex. unfolding situation. i am really nervous that tomorrow we are going to see major damage across this region. look at the radar as it blossom and moves across the southwest area moving closely again they are going to get hit again. when you see pinks that's the intensity of the storm. we could see very large hail, softball sized as well as debris which is dangerous, winds in excess of 60, even 70

miles per hour. >> greta: janice, thank you. right now we are live in south texas. many say this is a war zone west are coming to you live from the texas ranger recon headquarters mobile command center in ed dinburg, texas. tonight and tomorrow might you will is happening from high above in the air and on the ground. it is the most illegally crossed international boarder in the world. governor perry is here to tell us what is and isn't being done to secure the border. the governor and president obama do not see eye-to-eye. joining us is texas governor rick perry. governor i can almost feel you sitting next to me with that report on dallas. that just happened in your state. >> yeah. it is personal with me just being the governor my children live there. so we have our prayers for everyone up in that part of

the state. disasters are part of texas. we have monster big hurricanes, tornadoes that can hit any time. up in missouri that same type of event in joplin, missouri. i offered any assistance that we could have, be able to give them. [ inaudible ] there's always something going on in texas. our prayers are with everyone as we deal with different events whether a boarder that is porous, things going on. -- [ inaudible ] unfortunately, an average day in texas. -- [ inaudible ]

a border under almost constant attack -- >> greta: that tornado you could not anticipate. it surprised you and everybody else. behind us a helicopter just went out to try to do something to prevent something that is predictable. you and the president don't see eye-to-eye on this? >> not at all. i was disheart ended when the president came into el paso. had a photo-op in the city of el paso and proclaimed that the border was as safe as it has ever been. that's nonsense. you ask these men and women putting their lives on the line every night. the border patrol agents, ice agents, texas department of public safety, folks in that helicopter, our s.w.a.t. teams that are out there. local law enforcement, all of

those individuals know that this border not only is porous, but the people that are coming across this border we have no idea -- well unfortunately, we do know where some of them are from. they are from countries that have very close ties to al-qaeda. afghanistan, pakistan, china, yemeni. it is an absolute national disgrace. >> greta: the thing that surprised me today, i always knew there was drugs and guns and smuggling of humans back and forth. what i hadn't realized until i talked to your people today is how many different nationalities come across this border illegally. that surprised me. of course there are some that are red flags countries like pakistan, yemen of course. those happen to be countries that have been most unfriendly to put it politely. >> we have now for upwards of five or six years been going to washington, d.c.,

explaining to congress, administrations that we have a real and serious and a present danger. that has to be addressed. some 12 democrat sheriffs, people who are not in my political party, went with us to washington a few years back to share the story about what is happening on that border. and it has only gotten worse. we know that there has to be more boots on the ground. you saw a wall today, a fence being built. and you asked the question, is that effective? the director of the department of public safety said no. this is in a very rural area. >> greta: there are gaps in the finances. you didn't even -- in the fence. you didn't even have to get a ladder.

>> if you do not have boots on the ground you cannot defend that border. >> greta: can you tell that to president obama or will he hear from you? >> i hope the president of the united states would hear from the governor of the second largest state in our nation -- >> greta: does he? >> -- 1200 mile board we are mexico. we correspond, but i don't know whether he listens. i don't know whether he hears. but the issue is, you've got an entire administration and a congress that has been reluctant to do what it takes. >> greta:? >> i have to idea. i can't answer -- >> greta: [ inaudible ] they end up in milwaukee, chicago, idaho. >> these are poisons that are showing up in our children's bloodstream. they are poisoning a generation of americans. why wouldn't we do everything that we can to defend that

boarder from those dug cartels that have operational control of -- those drug cartels that have operational control of a substantial amount of that border. >> greta: are the cartels in mexico? >> shrrpbly, also in dallas -- >> greta: i meant texas. >> they are -- we are starting to see them as operational cells in these cities. one of the reasons i'm so upset, frustrated with the department of homeland security. grants that should be coming to the states to assist with this type of border security. and they are cutting them, rather than beefing them up. that's what i'm worried about. as bad as that is today, it is only going to get worse. the cartels see this administration basically saying, the border is safe, don't worry about anything. >> greta: governor, thank you.

i know you've got to check on dallas. you have a long night ahead of you, thank you governor. to the viewers there is so much more tonight and again tomorrow night. you get behind the scenes look at where the governor took us today to the action on the border. right now you will see where our day did begin in the briefing room with governor perry. >> the department of homeland security is cutting the grants in austin, san antonio, one other major -- el paso. three places where you ought to be increasing the funding to go after these drug cartels, they are cutting 'em. again, very strong evidence of either they don't know or they don't care about what is going on, on this border. >> greta: when president obama was here last book he was talking illegal immigration and immigration -- did he week to you or reach out have you been able to communicate with

him at all the problem? >> this last trip through, they offered us, to meet on the tarmac at the airport in el paso. that's about 400 miles, for a 10 minute conversation that i knew was not gonna be substantive. we declined. he was also coming to austin. i offered to meet with him in austin. as much time as he would like to have at any venue. he declined. the reason his -- i don't know. he declined to meet with us in austin that would have made a lot of sense to me, he was coming to austin any way. this president, either does not know or does not care, what is going on, on the border. >> greta: we do have the access nationally. if someone declared war we would have access in a second. i'm not sure the federal government has been down here and sees what all of you tell me. if they that sort of sense of

urgency that all of you give me in the room, i think the assets would be here that's why i asked if they walked the border with you. who has walked the border with you? >> i can't tell if you there has been a federal official walk this border with any sense of time, in my tenure as being governor. i know that administrative officials have come here, two weeks ago the border was a handy photo-op. but the fact is, the president left here with no more knowledge about what is going on in texas than before he got here. he left austin with money but he didn't leave with any more knowledge about what is going on in texas. >> greta: i've been here a little bit of time and i've seen pictures, they are ugly things he finds out on his ranch. i would think if the federal government had that information, they might have a

greater sense of urgency. if they knew the number of nationalities that coming through here. it is not just drugs. there's a lot to this. >> greta, the federal government knows this information. this is not something closely held in this command post this is information that -- [ inaudible ] >> why does this administration not actively secure this border? >> greta: [ inaudible ] >> unfortunately, that is what i deal with everyday. i don't want the people of the state of texas to have to be the catalyst that finally gets the administration to understand that there is great terror on our southern border. >> greta: that is just the beginning of our trip. what is really being done on the border? on the record cameras take you in the air to a place you have never seen on the ground. >> also, texas attorney

president obama said the israel-palestinian border should be based on the 1967 line. the president later said he was misinterpreted. later the two seemed testy toward each other in the oval office. today the prime minister spoke before a joint meeting of congress saying he's not backing down. >> in any peace agreement that ends a conflict, some settlements will end up beyond israel's board earth. now the precise delineation of those borders must be negotiated. we'll be generous about the size of the future palestinian states. but as president obama said, the border will be different than the one that existed on june 4th, 1967. israel will not return to the indefensible boundaries of 1967 [ applause ] >> greta: is there a showdown

between president obama and the prime minister? if so, who is winning? seen political analyst, brit hume joins us. it seems there are two issues. one is incredible important the substantive issue as to what going to happen to israel and the danger in that region. and the political ramifications back home. where do we stand? this is a showdown now? >> if it is a showdown it is probably over. i don't think there can be much question about who has won. i think prime minister netanyahu emerges from this several days in triumph. today's speech the standing ovation you saw him receiving from what he said of the borders is one of 29 standing ovations he got in congress today. he was interrupted by applause more than 50 times. this is the kind of reception would you imagine that a president would get after recently being inaugurated. it was extraordinary. the speech was well delivered. he did not in any way back

away from anything he's been saying over the last several days. he was polite in his references to president obama and diplomatic. but it was perfectly clear that the person who has been doing all the backpedaling, is not mr. netanyahu it is the president. >> greta: it seems like things have been revved up. now the palestinians are revved up based on the speech before congress today. you've got prime minister netanyahu talking about iran and the u.s. not letting iran get nuclear weapons. you have our president overseas. it seems like everything has gotten agitated in the past two weeks. what happens? i was out of country, i came back and the president giving the speech at the state department then that testy scene in the oval office. what provoked all this? >> you gotta understand in this -- when things happen in the middle east, they are often a little hard to understand and follow. sometimes very small things seem to be turned into very

big things. the differences between where the president stands on these matters and where the prime minister stands in his -- and his support the united states stands, are matters not so much of substance but of nuance. the starting point for negotiations whether you begin with the premise you are going to end up with something like the pre1967 borders or not, it all seems very arcane and yet, it is in some sense explosive. when the president said what he said and the way he said it. it want that it was all that new. but it was -- it wasn't that it was all that new. but it was a touchy matter. he grew a sharp and firm response from prime minister netanyahu. given the sentiment about israel and this particular conservative prime minister in much of the arab world, especially among the palestinians, it is not surprising that you would have this reaction tonight from the palestinians who called it a declaration of war. i was certainly not that. but it was a very firm

>> greta: fox news weather alert. right now there's a tornado warning for joplin, missouri. the same city ripped to shreds, killed 122 people. tonight people are bracing for more disaster. >> tornado touched down in the dallas ft. worth area. fans were evacuated from the game in arlington, texas. in oklahoma four people have been killed by tornadoes. five tornadoes have been reported in the oklahoma city area. meteorologist janice dean joins us live. the people in missouri sure don't need this one. >> i didn't think the news could get worse. i'm hoping that this is not near as bad as what we saw the other day in joplin, missouri. yes, if you can believe it there's a tornado warning for jasper county, joplin, missouri where they were pounded by an ef-5 tornado

with winds of over 200 miles per hour. i usually say, take shelter immediately. a lot of these folks cannot take shelter, because they don't have any shelter. that's the sad part of this story. taking a look at our other tornado warning that remains in effect for dallas. the dallas ft. worth metroplex area. we also have several tornado warnings east of this region. we are getting reports of damage across the dallas area. unfortunately, it is dark outside, so we are not going to see the damage until tomorrow morning. people are cautioned to take shelter immediately. getting reports at the airport people are told to hunker down get away from the windows. a dire situation. but the news just got worse for the folks in joplin who are trying to get their lives back together. tornado warning for this area until 10 p.m., local time. 11 p.m. eastern time. for the next half hour, they are under a tornado warning greta. i just hate delivering this

news. it is absolutely awful. >> greta: janice, you said take shelter. can you be more explicit? people are watching, what do you mean g where? >> the lowest part of your home. interior rooms, the bathroom in the bathtub is the best place to be. away from the windows. if you can go under ground, go underground. you want to be away from the windows not outside at all. not in your car. not driving anywhere. you want to be underground or an interior room where you can even maybe put a mattress over you. again, for joplin, missouri, such horrible news. we are dealing with winds in excess of 60, 70 miles per hour. the debris on the ground can be projectiles. it can can be extraordinarily dangerous. i'm trying to get in touch with our reporter kris gutierrez, driving to tulsa

from joplin. i'm worried about his safety too. we're all hoping and praying this evening. >> greta: maybe i'll help you out with that. we'll have more with kris gutierrez right now. kris joins us live from outside joplin, missouri on the phone. janice dean is worried about you, tell me more, where are you and what is going on? >> >> reporter: you we we are on i-44 heading south towards tulsa we want new pictures of the storm that is pounding state of oklahoma. my concern in joplin is this, we left the hotel, that was without water, had no cable television service. my concern is, i wonder if the people in joplin who need to heed the warning, hear these warnings if they are getting that information. my concern, obviously for those people there, the people 1500 people still unaccounted for in joplin.

national weather service is telling us now the tornado that hit that area sunday was in fact an ef-5 the worst rating possible. that means wind gusts, sustained winds topped 200 miles per hour. two more people were found alive there in joplin today. the search tonight continues for people, at this hour at least continues to try and find more people. take a look at this, we shot this a short time ago. as far as the eye can see in joplin, missouri, homes have been leveled. still, search-and-rescue teams are going from one house to the next looking for survivors. the concern is, there still may be people trapped beneath in rubble alive. >> i just prayed, thankful that i'm still here. so many people that aren't. i'm sorry, i get emotional. i just lost everything. it is just horrible.

>> reporter: again i want to reiterate there are 1500 people still unaccounted for in joplin. they may have left town. they may be staying with friends. or they could be buried beneath that debris. city officials don't know. and they are trying to track people down. >> greta: of course, kris we tell them to take shelter where to take shelter in joplin when you look and see they have no shelter. hopefully they've gone to schools or some place. kris, thank you. >> reporter: you bet. >> greta: turning the corner. do you remember the case lee anthony murder investigation? her mother is charged with her murder. today a bomb shell was dropped in the courtroom. were casey's parents part of a cover-up? was casey sexually abused by her father george and her brother lee. the defense attorney told the jury that and didn't stop there. he claims 2-year-old caylee accidentally drowned in the family's backyard pool.

>> she never was missing. caylee anthony died on june 16th, 2008, when she drowned in her family's swimming pool. you are going to hear caylee loved to swim and caylee could get out of the house easily. and did so on that day. >> greta: holly, i bet everyone just about fell over when he made the accusation that casey's father abused her? >> reporter: that's been leaking out little by little in different bits of discover released over the past six to nine months. i think it is biggest bombshell in court today. for a while people have been throwing out theories that maybe caylee did drown in the backyard pool. the big bombshell that came out today was that jose baez said that casey anthony was home with caylee so was her

grandfather george. george realized that caylee was nowhere to be found. he claims george went around one side of the house, casey went around the other and george anthony found caylee dead in the pool he had her dead in his arms when casey came around and said what did you do? you are going to get thrown in jail for abuse or neglect. and he's trying to say that george anthony was there. george anthony has known that his ground daughter was dead. how she died and he helped casey cover it up. >> greta: as a practical matter it is important to point out these were statements by the lawyer. this still -- this is what the lawyer predicts is going to be proven at trial. it may be true, maybe not this is not evidence. i'm curious, any response from the father george to those accusations? >> reporter: those that were said in the defense's opening statements immediately after

the state put george anthony up on the stand. they asked him if he had ever sexually assaulted or molested his daughter? he said no. they asked if he was home at the time caylee passed away and found her? he said no. he said i had been there and she died in the pool we wouldn't be here today, i would have called the police. >> greta: obviously, [ inaudible ] what was her demeanor as her lawyers is making these accusations in opening statement, not evidence? >> reporter: throughout the part where she was talking about the sexual abuse, the attorney was talking the sexual abuse, casey started crying. around the time they started getting into what the defense was saying happened with caylee drowning in the pool casey was crying throughout that for the rest of the day she pretty much didn't show any emotion. looked down at her notebook, stoic throughout most of the day. george anthony was able to

keep a straight face while these accusations were coming out from casey's lawyer. he was sitting in the back of the courtroom the judge has told everybody in the courtroom if you make any noises, show any emotion, i'm going to throw you out. remarkable to see after these accusations that were coming out that he allegedly sexually abused his daughter and they were abusing -- were accuse him of being part of what happened to caylee or being there when caylee drowned. he stood, nodded his head no, his wife grabbing his hand showing him her support. they were both strong in court today. >> greta: holly, thank you. >> coming up, it isn't just texas governor perry, texas attorney general greg abbott is also firing back at president obama. he's not happy at something the president said. it has to do with our nation's border with mexico. the attorney general will tell what is going on, next.
