have been raised and take full responsibility for my actions. at the outset i would like to make it clear that i have made terrible mistakes that have hurt the people i care about the most. and i'm deeply sorry. i have not been honest with myself. my family. my constituents, my friends and supporters and the media. last friday night i tweeted a photograph of myself that i intended to send as a direct message as part of a joke to a woman in seattle. once i realized i posted to twitter, i panicked, took it down and said i had been hacked. i then continued to stick to that story which was a hugely regrettably mistake this woman was unwittingly dragged into this and bears no response able. i'm so sorry to have disrupted her life in this way. to be clear the picture was of me. and i sent it. i'm deeply sorry for the pain this has caused my wife huma and our family.

and my constituents, my friends, supporters and staff. in addition, over the past few years i have engaged in several inappropriate conversations conducted over twitter, facebook, e-mail and occasionally on the phone with women i've met online. i've exchanged messages and photos of an explicit nature with six women over the last three years. for the most part these communications took place before my marriage. though, some have sadly took place after. to be clear i have never met any of these women or had physical relationships at any time. i haven't told the truth. and i've done things i deeply regret. i've brought pain to people i care about the most. and people who believe in me. for that i'm deeply sorry.

10:10 pm
saturday may 28th, lewd photo reported by biggovernment.com website run by breitbart. sunday, may 29th, weiner falsely claims his twitter account was hacked and someone used his account. may 31st, the congressman becomes combative with reporters when he is grilled about the incident. >> if i were giving a speech to 45,000 people and someone in the back, threw a pie or yelled out an insult, i would not the next two hours of my speech, responding to that pie or that insult. i would return to the things that i want to talk about. to the audience. >> all you have to do is say no. >> this is the tax tick the guy in the back of the room who is throwing the pie wants that to be the conversation. >> you said were you hacked. that is a criminal -- >> dana, i have to ask we follow some rules.

10:12 pm
said she received shots of a shirtless weiner. another woman had received hundreds of explicit text messages from the kong imagine. that's when weiner threw in the towel and -- scheduled a news conference. before congressman weiner gets to the podium for his press conference, biggovernment.com's andrew breitbart comes out of seemingly nowhere and takes the stage while awaying for weiner. breitbart demand as apology from the congressman. >> i would like an apology from him for allowing for his political protecters this was his strategy to blame me for hacking. don't worry breitbart is our regular whipping boy we can accuse him of anything and the press will not hold those journalists to account, no matter what they say. i'm here for some vindication. >> greta: well, breitbart got what he asked for. congressman weiner did

ethics committee. the wording is murky around these areas. it is possible that not only did he not break the law but didn't violate house rules. >> greta: he sent -- he certainly was tearful today. how he talked about the latest one that he got caught with how that was supposed to have been a joke. if you go back to the you that the 26-year-old we -- she got that same picture in april apparently it want a joke many almost a serial episode with this man. >> this is someone who spent the last 10 days trying to talk his way out of this. last week he got more reporters interested. today he was able to say i made a mistake and i have to apologize. he still hasn't answered all the questions. were there taxpayer resources involved? did his conduct in some way reflect dishonor upon the house?
