it's heavily forehe issed and there's snow on the ground and up at the higher elevations right now. and it is now beginning to get dark out here, and as we get into late afternoon, and so, you know, it's very challenging terrain, but the most challenging thing about it, of course, we're searching for someone who does not want to be found and who has a weapon and is willing to use it so we can't just put, you know, a bevy of searchers out into the field and have them go wandering off on foot looking for him. so, it's very complicated and we're getting assistance from some other law enforcement units who have experience with this type of situation and we just hope we'll able to apprehend him. >> ranger taylor, tell me about the incident that started this and why this particular ranger, do you think, was shot? >> well, the incident started as a routine attempt to stop a car, one of our other rangers was trying to pull over, and the shooters car and he

7:09 pm
it's a voting block divided up, but so many regardless what the purpose in caucuses is, they want iowa's voice to matter and their choice to be nominatable and electable and when they surge in the poll that sakes the undecided voters and makes them give him a second look. >> and almost as loud as the voters have been the attack ads all over the place and newt gingrich saying that attack ads have brought his numbers down. >> he's acknowledged that he's going to have a hard time making the top three in iowa and perhaps four and five and he will continue to fight on. and rick perry noting much of the same thing and in the case of mr. gingrich he has been the large attack ads and acknowledged that it took him down and this afternoon he got angry and specifically mentioned mitt romney and suggested something that is very, very tough politics, that romney was trying to use money to buy the nomination. listen to this.
