>> sean: we are awaiting benjamin netanyahu to address the public affairs company better known as apac. he is expected to deliver a policy speech on u.s. israeli relations and threats that are facing israel today. we'll bring it to you as soon as it begins. 400 delegates are at stake on super tuesday which is without a doubt the most important day and ahead of that both, romney and santorum why in ohio and according to the polls, the race is virtually tied. the battle for the buckeye state is one that we will be watching very closely. as they try to win the support of voters in the midwest, gingrich is in tennessee as we has a strong showing on southern states on tuesday. in just a moment. former speaker will be my guest.
9:01 pm
before he does, an exchange between gingrich and david gregory of nbc news has created a lot of buzz over the past 24 hours. it all happened when gingrich was asking about sandra fluke's testimony but rather than take the bait. he reminded voters but b the radical record of president obama. watch this. >> david, i am astonished at the desperation of the elite media to avoid rising gas prices, to avoid the president's apology to religious fanatics in afghanistan. to avoid the trillion dollar deficit. to avoid the longest period of unemployment since the great depression and decide rush limbaugh is national crisis of this week. there is no debate about access to contraception. you have an issue whether the government can coerce the catholic church not just into contraception but sterilization or abortion, which no reporter
9:02 pm
wants to talk about. you have a president that voted for infanticide. so if you want to have a dialogue about this, david. let's set the record straight. >> sean: joining me is newt gingrich. i watched that exchange. that was a fascinating exchange to me because they are asking about rush and his comments and the controversy of which he apologized by that point. your answer, why are you asking me this? explain. >> look, i decided after watching for months that the elite media was going to defend barack obama. my job on behalf of most americans was to communicate the facts about our values, our concerns, what we care about. i was going to frankly cut past the elite media and talk about the things that matter to most americans. i've had overwhelmingly positive response from yesterday that people felt it was about time
9:03 pm
that somebody talked about the obama administration's pro high-priced gas policy or obama administration's amazing apology to religious if a national particulars in afghanistan at the very time they are attacking the catholic church in the united states. putting it together that way and insisting on talking about the issues on my terms, not on the media's terms, is the only way conservatives can get across what we believe despite the opposition of much of the elite media. >> sean: is there, therefore, the challenge, that the nominee whoever they are they are going to face, that is the media are going to set the agenda and it's going to be one that will favor the democratic party and the president's narrative? is that the biggest challenge in the campaign? >> you have three challenges. you have an incumbent president with all the power of the presidency and prestige of being the president. you ever a billion dollar obama fund which guarantees that the
9:04 pm
romney approach of trying to out spend your opponent is hopeless. you will have the elite media backing obama. so whoever we nominate, this is the best case for newt gingrich nomination, we have to be able to debate obama so decisively and to frame the issues so decisively that we can overcome those three disadvantages. i think it be done. reagan did it in 1980 but it takes great discipline and an understanding of how to communicate and how to establish conservative principles at a practical level. >> sean: we have a new segment, we're going to vet obama. there is a cascade, wallfall, avalanche that he is going to have to deal with. so they should ask him some of these questions.
9:05 pm
the next issue we expect we're going to hear from benjamin netanyahu in this hour. he met with the president. president said publicly that apac that he has his back. do you believe that? >> i have no idea because there is no way to know what obama is really thinking until he does it think this administration is much more critical of israel than opponents. the diplomacy with iran have been pathetic. there is no evidence that they have sloane down their nuclear program by one day. you can understand that israelis are very worried and no israeli prime minister is going to turn over the question of survival of their country to any non-israeli. because of the history of the holocaust the seven million jews that were killed, it is
9:06 pm
inconceivable that a prime minister of israel would run the risk of a second holocaust to allow iran to get nuclear weapons. >> i am told administration wants 24 hours. israelis said no. they were to go after iran. we see how he has treated the prime minister. when he was nicolas sarcozy asking israel to return to '67 borders. let me know if you come up with something new. i don't think we have seen tension like this in our life time. >> if i were the israelis i wouldn't give this administration one minute's noticed because someone will leak it. when you have an operational secret you want to keep it as close hold as possible. fewest possible people should know about it. it is an absurdity they are going to get 24 hours' notice. the only purpose frankly would be try to pressure them to standing down.
9:07 pm
it has to be very surprised. i have known netanyahu for a long time. he is very tough. >> sean: if you were president and meeting with netanyahu today knowing what we know including the iaea that iran is building a nuclear bomb, would you be telling netanyahu that the u.s. will partner with you if you deem it's national security interests? >> i would say to him we will give you all the intelligence we have. we'll give you daily communications capability through our satellites and we will give you whatever equipment you need. i would try to see if the israelis could pull it off on their own. in f necessary i would provide support. they have a different challenge than we do. we can afford a lot bigger risk than israel can. we are long way from iran. they are close to iran. so there is a difference standard there. certainly in 1981 when they took out the iraqi nuclear reactor,
9:08 pm
we would have tried to stop them. >> sean: super tuesday, ten states in play. you got home state of georgia which you said defining for you. how would you define success with gingrich and campaign for presidency tomorrow? >> first of all. i think we're going to carry georgia four or five times by romney's size in michigan. we're surging in tennessee and oklahoma, we have a good chance to pick up delegates in ohio. we see opportunities north dakota, and even massachusetts where conservative republicans regard romney as a liberal governor and there is a faction that would like to split. because so many proportional representation, we have a number of delegates around the country, we hope to pick them up. >> sean: appreciate your time. >> coming up, a glaring double standard, liberal media wages a

>> sean: back to hannity. one of my guests points out there is glaring double standard when it comes to how the mainstream media responds when provocative language is used to attack women. when liberal women are attacked, they are quick to rally to their defense, but conservative women it's a different story. you take a moment and remind you some of the disgraceful rhetoric that the left have used on the right side of the political spectrum like this. >> like this right wing, slut, laura ingram. she a talk slut. >> morally knee-jerk. hatred about what michelle malkin would be mashed up bag of meat with lipstick on it. >> i think he has proven herself to be profoundly stupid. >> sean: the left's war on women kirsten powers.
9:14 pm
you have a terrific book that deals in many ways with this topic. how obama and left are driving americans to the government plantation. deneen borelli good to see you. >> you started out your book and introduction of your book. if we google your name and african-american conservative, you said first thing, it's going to could come tak back black tea bagging "n" word? >> it's a huge double standard. i'm not even running for office. i am criticized on a regular basis. i don't get a phone call by president obama protecting me. but we saw reagan that saw our country as shining city on a hill. president obama is bringing our country down to dim light in the valley. his policies are harming our country.
9:15 pm
any time anyone comes out and criticizes president obama they are called a racist. >> sean: i got to give you kirsten, you have been so consistent on this issue over the years. you have been on this program. we have had political disagreements, occasionally, once in a while, light disagreements among friends. >> like every time i'm on. >> sean: but you have been consistent. it's funny because when ed sholts schultz said those remarks and laura ingraham. i said stop at the time. same thing, bill maher, i never said to fired him. i think people should apologize but i never asked bill maher to apologize. he should apologize and here is a small sampling of the things he said. >> sarah palin finally heard what happened in japan. 9:17 pm
obama people thought it was fair game to attack her with sexist attacks, but i think overall it's usually a proxy war for liberalism and democratic party. that is what is frustrating. people come out and say, we're really about women and stand up for women which frankly what i was raised in my liberal family i was raised in by a feminist mother. democrats are good guys. you see they stand up when it suits them. if it's going to go after a person they like, who show they like to attend and doing a good job getting their views out. they complain. i don't want to say they don't complain. they never say anything about it but they don't bring the becoming guns out for it. >> sean: i call it selective moral outrage and hypocrisy.
9:18 pm
>> absolutely. anyone should criticize our leader, i don't care what color he is. we have $15 trillion in debt. unemployment is especially high and policies are not creating jobs. the people have right to criticize. we have 26 million americans on food stamps. people are hurting. we need leadership. that is not what we're getting from president obama. >> sean: kirsten i'll give you the last word here. there seems to be an effort now well funded, well organized to only go after conservatives that say things. you have so many comparable examples. you put all of these in your column. you don't see the same effort. is the goal here to silence conservative voices because they don't like them? is that what it is? >> it obviously is. i see a lot of liberals getting defensive about this today.
9:19 pm
look, they will say bill maher doesn't have advertisers. so what? >> sean: he gave million dollars to obama's super pac? >> you cannot to his show, he could return the money. it's a proxy war for liberalism. i don't see it any way. >> sean: president obama got involved and called the woman, should the president have called sarah palin. should the president call deneen borelli. ask his pac to give the million dollars back to bill maher? >> the president called him because it was good politics. he is not responsible for what bill maher says but i think they should return the money. if he had gone after a black person that way that was a liberal, and use liberal slurs, it would be intolerable.
9:20 pm
