6:02 am
unbelievable. >> dave: unbelievable is right. three residents still unaccounted for this morning. believe it or not, officials saying it could have been much worse. >> peter doocy live on the scene with more for us. tell us what you find out there. >> the last update we got from the fire department here is that three people are still unaccounted for. they are not necessarily missing. not classified as missing because no one has reported them missing. there are three people who they are trying desperately to get in touch with. this is the complex behind me. right now 40 apartments are scorched and five buildings. that plane really just fell out of the sky. again, nobody has been reported missing. authorities are trying to figure out if anybody had unreported guests or unreported tenants. you can see here they are not telling us but in the screen shot, the air field, ocean in a air field is to the right and nobody knows exactly or at least nobody could really tell which way the plane was coming down from the authorities. we have heard different things

from different people. but we do know that lots of frantic people here trying to get in to the scene for the last few hours. lots of people have cell phone video. amazing. you have seen some of the tapes. it is really something that you have never ever seen before. we know they do say that the pilots did something right when they realized something was wrong by dumping as much fuel as they could and then ejecting. of course, it is unfortunate that 40 people right now are being kept at local elementary school. they have no idea when they will get back. it might take a year to figure out exactly what happened here and the fire department is going to be on scene for at least the next four days before they hand things off to the navy. we're told the next update we're going to get from the fire department is going to be at 8:00 this morning, once the sun comes up. alisyn? >> alisyn: all right, peter doocy, thanks so much for that update. there are incredible stories about the aftermath of that crash. >> the pilot. >> alisyn: pilot dangling from the tree still in parachute.

right? when you see $4 a shrimp. $19 cheese plate. going to las vegas. why can't they do it in washington, d.c.? our own ed henry reporting last night, the obama administration putting blame on bush administration that they inherited this inflated problem. >> dave: that is shocking, isn't it? where have we heard that line before? they say this spending started under the bush administration. check back in the year 2004 when it was $93,000 the spending there on this convention. and then it ramped up under president bush, 323,000. 655,000. wham. there comes the big number. $840,000 in 2010. percentage increase was far greater under the bush administration than it was under the obama administration. unbelievable, to again, be finding blame here in your

predecessor. >> clayton: yes, those numbers did tick up dramatically under the bush administration 248% in spending. with the clip we played of president obama a short short time ago no more trips and wasteful spending. under the obama administration they went up 28% so they didn't put an end to it. >> alisyn: ed henry talked to a white house official last night. here was their explanation at least we have taken bold swift, forceful action to hold those responsible accountable and put in place protections to make sure this never happened again. if bush administration folks had acted under their watch, the 2010 debacle could have been avoided. well, not so fast. there is an investigation now into the gsa and what darrell issa has found out that, in fact, they did know about it for 11 months and that no administrators were fired until well after that.
6:07 am
>> dave: it was may of last year when they were first told about this investigation? >> alisyn: government spending at its finest. it's exhibit a. i don't know that anybody cares if it was the bush administration or the obama administration which had a greatest percentage. just stop it. make it stop. >> dave: have some accountability. the fact that they were looking back and blaming predecessor. no one was putting all the blame on the president anyway. get handle. the budget was 300 grand and went to over 800. the blame game, i think americans are sick and tired of it. >> clayton: wouldn't you like to hear from the administration? yes. we found this. it was a mistake. look, it stops with us. the buck stops with us. we found it. we cut it off it was a mistake. t will never happen again. here is what darrell issa said to your point it takes a lot of work to spend $3,000 at a time when unemployment was 10%. this administration knew about this 11 months ago and they didn't act until the press got wind of it.
6:08 am
this is at this typically in ths administration they are only transparent when they are discovered. talking about solyndra. >> alisyn: this type of wasteful spending would stop. let's remind you of that. >> you can't go take a trip to las vegas or go down to the super bowl on the taxpayer's dime if there was not gob accountability and responsibility and that's something i intend to pose as president of the united states. >> dave: responsibility part. i was critical of him saying no trips to vegas. you can't bury the vegas economy. that's what they do. they hold conventions. that's why they have thousand it sands and thousands of jobs. we need people who hold conventions. they don't have to be $800,000 connections. accountability is what we need from our president and his administration. >> clayton: they don't need to be taxpayer conventions. other conventions like the consumers electronics show. let us know what you think
