said they received 140 reports of twisters across the plains. folks woke up to homes demolished many without power. victims say they thought it could never happen to them. >> i didn't know what to think at first. everything we have ever worked for is right here and it's all gone. >> although devastating emergency officials say one of the reasons the death toll is relatively low is it is uninhabited areas. >> terrible story. our life team coverage continues now with maria menounos. >> we still have severe storms right now. tornado warnings are here at this hour. we could see that change as we head into the evening hours. the storm system is still going. we are going to be seeing flash

floodings across the gulf states. portions of louisiana and also eastern texas including larger cities like the city of houston. they are bringing in snow across parts of the north central. we will highlight it for new a minute. extremely warm 87 degrees will be our high temperature in new york city. our record is 93 for today. 74 cleveland and 80s in raleigh. yesterday the storm system impacted minneapolis and also surrounding areas. we had a lot of hail tornadoes and wind damage being reported from that storm system. it is still moving eastward. we are not expecting it to be anywhere near as bad as saturday.

way or the other. just because you have these people accessing the white house does not mean there is not consequence in a very real or even corrupt sense. the president never said i will not fix the lepers. he said they would not influence or negate what he was trying to do on a larger scale. if you follow barack obama on facebook, go ahead and do it, you will see dirns with barack all of the time. everybody is welcome to the white house. gosh darn it, if there is 100,000 dollars or more donation coming from your camp it is expected you will have some level of access to that extent. >> they made the point in several cases to point out that some of the people did not get what they wanted after their visit to the white house. is that -- does that change the scenario here?

rule aimed at raising taxes on on millionaires. the president said it is not about class warfare but he plans to keep bringing up the so-called buffet rule again and again. the senate will take this up today but it is not likely to go anywhere. it is being done to coincide with the irs tax filing deadline this week. how much the federal government consumes over the course of the year. the buffet roule requires any oe making over a million dollars. mitt romney on fox news sunday says the actual dollars by government standards are relatively small. according to one estimate the money you would get from the buff let ruet rule would cover of the increased deficit under the obama budget.
