afternoon hours. we are looking at more risk for severe storms just of the great lakes. so we are going to highlight that region coming up very shortly. otherwise the big story is incredibly warm across parts of southwest and all of that warm is heading eastward into the center of the nation where temperatures will be well above average for areas like texas up into portions of kansas. take a look for the highs 90 across texas 92 degrees in kansas city and minneapolis. 71 degrees the high temperatures above average even denver looking good with a high of 82 degrees. much warmer than it will be across parts of areas where you think it will be warmer than those areas in rale leigh and 80s across the state of florida. you see the showers popping up across the midwest. dealing with that early this morning in minneapolis. need the umbrella as you head out the door. we have our jet stream that is lifted across parts of montana

and into the dakotas and taking a dip in the eastern part of the countries. that's where we are seeing the cooler temperatures in the northeast and showers coming down into portions of the carolinas and out west two storm systems will be impacting the west today. we will keep an eye on that. otherwise the storms today chicago you are also lacking at that severe weather. large hail damaging winds and isolated rain. >> now to stories you can bank on this morning. we begin with a brand new development in the missing $1.6 billion in ms global customer money. now we go to lauren simonetti for more. >> it is a high stakes game of lost and found. 1.6 billion lost and now it's found. they are reporting that 700 million at a u.k. subsidiary 220 million transfers from customer accounts into commodity customer accounts and remaining 680

a developing story overnight. fox news learning extra security is being put in place right now for republican senator marco rubio after evidence of what is called a credible threat against him. he is getting police protection at his home in miami and washington. rubio is frequently mentioned as a choice for vice president. authorities not releasing specific information about that threat. an alleged drug consider te cartel. he has been hiding out in sandusky, ohio of all places whe before he was arrested earlier this month. they tipped off agents about his whereabouts. time is running out for a 5-year-old boy snatched from his hospital bed in st. louis. porter stone was next on the heart transplant. it is believed the child was
