worst fire in the western part of the country. last week it was 60% contained. now back to 45%. what is happening is, mother nature is not leaning a helping hand. hot temperatures and winds are feeding the flames. prompting the possibility of more homes to be lost. certainly, more evacuations nearly 1,000 as of last night. >> after two weeks of that fire getting established in there, still trying to come alive. the resistance to control and persistence of this fire is pretty unusual for conditions that we normally see. >> reporter: despite that officials on the ground said they are happy with the progress they made today and they are hoping to be able to make plans soon for some of those evacuees to go home. >> harris: they've been fighting this a long time. utah, it is interesting we are learn wag sparked that one. >> reporter: we are. -- we are hearing from officials on the ground it was

target practice. sounds a little unusual, someone shooting a gun hitting a rock sparking a fire this is the 20th target-related, target shooting related fire this year in utah. unpredictable winds 35 miles per hour highs in the 90s causing a huge challenge for fire crews on the ground today. as many as 2300 people had to be evacuated. fortunately, no homes lost. it is 35% contained now. full containment is expected by tuesday. finally, three other new fires in colorado broke out today. fortunately, they are small than some of these other fires we've been talking about not as big as the high park fire. fire officials say nonetheless, they have their hands full and they know it is going to be a long night. >> harris: and a very long

fire season anita, thank you. weather alert now. we going if fire to a warning from the national hurricane center. a storm developing in the gulf of mexico has reached tropical storm strength building power 220 miles southeast of the mouth of the mississippi river. forcasters issuing tropical storm warning for parts of the louisiana coast this hour. let's take a look at radar you can see it gathering hurricane center calling this debby. officials warning first the strong winds could reach our nation's south coast tomorrow night that means threat of serious flooding some areas could see 10 inches of rain. now debby's predicted path. that's if it holds, it is expected to get close to corpus christi, texas by thursday bp ordering nonessential employees to leave many oil and gas platforms in the gulf and other oil companies saying they will take similar precautions.

unclear after he suffered a stroke and fell into a coma. leland vittert, some analysts have said the military has staged a coup in taking over the government. what are you hearing? >> reporter: harris this is one of those things looks like a coup, sons like a coup, it might just be a coup. military dissolved elected parliament they've said they are going to be in charge of writing the constitution and deciding what powers they have what powers the president has the people in tahrir square protesting behind me late into the night and early morning they are thousands and thousands of people think it is a coup as well, one of the things they are protesting this is a different group that we saw, this is the muslim brotherhood harder line version of the islamists who many fear want to turn egypt into an islamic state.

>> reporter: the local mosque is now opening bathrooms and providing shade to rest from the blistering heat. saturday afternoon the crowd was smaller, but their chants fill the weekend air as many kept shelter tents waiting for another night of protest. currently mohammed leads by 800 thousand votes many warn if the brotherhood is allowed to take over this country will be turned into an islamic state. brotherhood says if they are not declared the winner, the crowds behind me in tahrir square will appear small with the protest they call for and launch around this country. going forward it looks like we are going to get results in the next 24 hours. the election commission says they are going to announce results 3 p.m. tomorrow afternoon that's 9:00 in the morning in new york.

>> harris: leland, you talked about an 800,000 vote advantage that the muslim brotherhood candidate could have. but there was a rally from more 's opponent? >> reporter: correct, throughout this time there's been accusations of fraud going back and forth. the other candidate here was the prime minister under president mubarak. at the least he got 48% of the vote. he has alleged the muslim brotherhood printed more than a million ballots and stuffed the ballot box. it is up to the supreme election commission to sort this out. we have heard rumors going every which direction which happens all the time in the mideast you have to wait and figure out what is going to happen. important to note while the muslim brotherhood is the most vocal group and they are the ones who have taken over tahrir square, there are many people in egypt who support

the trial is overbut the scandal is not. there's still the possibility that jerry sandusky could face other charges especially after the revelation earlier this week that his son matt claimed that he was abused by his father. there is also the possibility that jerry sandusky could be prosecuted in other states because he took at least one boy to games in texas and california. there's the chance that he could face federal charges. the prosecutors in pennsylvania have said repeatedly this is an ongoing investigation and they cannot rule out the possibility that other individuals might be arrested. of course, there's the flood of lawsuits expected, targeting penn state, highly unlikely of those lawsuits are going to trial. the school issued a statement yesterday after the verdict saying it is going to take responsibility for what has happened, going to take steps to resolve those claims. the mother of one of the victims in the courtroom summed up the resolution by

saying, nobody wins we've all lost. >> harris: sandusky was acquitted on three charges one was serious. what happened there? >> reporter: sandusky was charged with nine counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in addition to other charges. one count he was acquitted of. that is significant this charge resulted directly from mike mcqueary the former coach's allegation he saw a boy raped in the showers at pen fate in 2001. that boy never identified, only called victim 2. the jury had reasonable doubt and found sandusky guilty of lesser charges dealing with victim number 2. what is very important here is remember, joe paterno was fired for not taking more aggressive action after mcqueary told him what he saw. two school administrators face

criminal charges for lying if to a grand jury about what mcqueary told them and for not reporting the child abuse to authorities. in the wake of this trial and the jury having some doubts about mcqueary's testimony, is it fair to say that some will raise the question that joe paterno perhaps was treated too harshly by the board of trustees. furthermore, what impact will this have as two administrators go to trial? >> harris: david lee miller, thank you. police in mexico made a big deal about capturing somebody they said was a drug cartel leader. they made a mistake. a little boy home alone and home invasion. thugs flow a hammer threw the window and break-in. this child was so courageous.

now they admit it wasn't him two men arrested thursday military officials identifying the guy in the red as the son of a drug kingpin. guzman has been on the run since 2001 after escaping from a mexican prison. it turns out neither of those men is related to the drug lord. authorities are charging them with weapons possession, among other things. nan, this was a big deal because they made such a big deal about getting the guy. >> reporter: absolutely. we are told a mexican navy official misidentified the suspect. it turns out he's the father of a toddler and works with his mother-in-law at a used car dealership. the attorney general's office said the man presume the son of guzman is really 23-year-old and not guzman salazar. his wife said the couple and

boehner says the vote by the full house as far as contempt of congress charge will go forward next week unless the obama administration turns over documents that the house oversight committee has asked for. attorney general holder has offered to provide additional paperwork but not what republicans requested. today democrats on that committee put out a statement saying, the committee flatly rejected a fair and reasonable offer made by the attorney general to provide additional documents sought by the committee in exchange for a good faith commitment. republicans respond to that saying the justice department doesn't get to decide which papers it hands over in an investigation. >> as many as 80,000 responsive documents only 67 -- 7600 have been turned over. who gets to choose what is relevant? >> reporter: speaker boehner says the terry family,
