protests in the mid eels. gregg palkot joins us more with more on the situation there. good morning, greg. >> ainsley, heather, we had a transmission difficulty the last couple of minutes. they continue to spread out in tunisia as well because of the muslim film. the latest reports we are seeing is that they are beginning to die down. they happened near one of the main u.s. bases near that city. a lot of rock flowing a lot of cars being burned. this comes after violent froess in pakistan in the business capital of karachi. protestors breached a security barrier went right up to the main walls. the word we are getting from the consulate there is all u.s. people were safe there was casualties among protestors. new call from protests coming

from hezbollah leader ordering his folks out on the streets today in beirut. he said he waited for the pope to leave. the pope was in over the weekend. the u.s. is working only on emergency basis. staffers and family members have been evacuated over the weekend. this on orders of the state department. this following a deadly riot here near the u.s. embassy compound on friday. we saw that compound ransacked. they are here for a second week of trouble concerning trouble. >> gregg palkot. thanks. as the violent protests continue this morning and continue to spread the white house is sticking to its position the deadly attack on the consulate was not preplanned. this contradicts what we heard

the eastern parts of texas. it is basically wrapping up the nice stretch of weather we have had across the northeast. fall like temperature low humidity and a lot of sunshine. right now for today the heaviest of the rainfall is going to be concentrated across parts of louisiana, eastern texas and parts of tennessee. we could see localized flash flooding and it could produce a lot of heavy rain in a short amount of time. otherwise across florida and georgia deal with stcattered storms as well. as the storm heads eastward and we head into tomorrow we could see severe weather stretching through parts of georgia up into the northeast. that is something we will keep an eye on especially tomorrow. otherwise look at how much rain we are expecting with this storm up to 8 inches local lie across central tennessee. flooding a big concern. thank you maria. >> it is time for our question of the day. here's what we would like you to

the 68-year-old pilot was killed in that crash. talk about a speedy delivery a woman in labor is on the way to the hospital when she realizes the baby isn't going to wait. so she and her husband pull over into the new hampshire motor speedway and deliver the baby right there in the parking lot. the speedway has awarded the baby two tickets to nascar races for the rest of her life. heather? >> let's talk about serious news now. while libya's president says it looks like the attack in benghazi was preplanned the obama administration is still claiming there was quote actionable intelligence foreshadowing that attack. let's listen to this. >> we are aware libya is a place where there have been increasingly violent incidents, the security personnel that the state department thought were required were in place. it obviously didn't prove sufficient to the nature of the attack and sufficient in that

enemy not to be detected. on top of that we choose not to do the necessary things to protect the ambassador at a time when we had a 9-11 anniversary. >> what do we need? >> we need to get what is required. bring security around these guys. frankly we have to be listening to people when they tell us. >> we have to bring up security. we had local military around and there were a few as we know navy seals. what do we need to better protect our government? >> every person has to be responsible for security. in the case of libya we don't have a strong central government. that is one of the things we have to first fix. next we have to look at how we secure our members. this guy our ambassador stevens set up to fail. they put him in a situation where they knew there was going to be violence there was a trend of this at least four attacks against western consulates since june. yet instead of being doubled down on personal security they should have had a ring of security for our own guys.

hess bo hezbollah calls for more attacks across the mid eels and the aeae air rap world. good morning, greg. >> hey, heather. protests continue to spread around the world triggered by the made in the u.s. anti muslim film. they were here in tunisia and around various countries as we speak. as you mentioned in afghanistan there was trouble this morning on the outskirts of the capital kabul one of the main u.s. military bases there. protestors on the street maybe a couple thousand. many of their officers were woundedment rocks thrown, cars burned and various injuries reported there. the debate itself not preached. this comes a day after another dangerous situation next door pakistan in the capital of karachi. protestors reached a security

barrier near the u.s. consulate went right up against the wall of the consulate but did not get over those walls. all staffers are reportedly safe again. more casualties among the pro tessers. then over to lobe nonthat worrying developiment that you mentioned call for protests coming from the shi'ite militant leader. he is telling supporters to go out on the street of beirut today and protest against the united states and against that film. he said he waited for the pope to leave. the pope was visiting lebanon over the weekend. back here in tunisia the u.s. embassy is only operating on an emergency basis today. most of the staffers there most of the family members were evacuated over the weekend. that followed orders from the evacuation of the state and followed a nasty protest around

rice today several words came to mind, asinine, naive, inem president incompetent. when you look at the government the intelligence service put out a letter about potential threats and up riceings about a week before that. it was printed in the jerusalem post on 9-11. having been in a combat zone several times after 9-11 we were on a higher state of security and alertness on 9-11. should have been the exact same thing here. for susan rice to say this was not a rel coordinated attack. i have to ask her what her line of expertise and understand what a stance as well. the president in libya confirms that. more on that every day as we continue to monitor the situation. overnight at least 7 people were killed by a homicide bomber

do that. avoid flying on the weekend. >> most people fly friday to monday afternoon. business people especially so it pushes the cost of the fares up. unless you leave randomly on a middle of a saturday it's best to fly on a tuesday, wednesday, thursday if possible. not everybody has that flexibility. >> even if you are not on the 8:00 a.m. flight the fare drops, too. >> if you leave at 6:00 a.m. it's better than leaving at 8:00 a.m. >> the common mistake we all assume all of the travel sites from the same prices. you are saying no? >> not all travel sites are created equal. because you look at expedia or travelocity doesn't mean it will be the same price as orbitz or kayak or one of those. just look around comparison price shop and then of course as we said look at the individual airline's web sites then just google it.
