date on tv online , imdb plus date on tv online, imdb plus radio. this is gb news. now it's back to the mark steyn show with . back to the mark steyn show with. le scotland is essentially a one party state. the scottish national party is whipped up a nationalist mania. there's no viable opposition and they have control over the judiciary. this allows the snp to railroaded through terrible legislation. removes the hard won rights of scottish citizens. most recently the gender recognition reform bill, which makes it much easier for people to change their gender instead of having to wait for two years and satisfy a medical panel. people can self identify as their chosen gender. this is great news for women like me. but according to critics including the snp's own community safety minister ash regan, bad news for the dignity and safety women. flushed with
2:06 am
success after hustling the gender reform bill through parliament, the snp are now proposing a ban on conversion therapy. good news , you might therapy. good news, you might think. conversion therapy where gay people are drugged , gay people are drugged, electrocuted or bullied in an attempt to cure their sexual ity is not just barbaric in antiquity . it's been shown to be antiquity. it's been shown to be completely ineffective. if you electrocute while playing them films, you're not turning them straight . you're just straight. you're just introducing them to kinky fetish. but that's not this. bill targets gay conversion therapy as we know. it doesn't really exist in the uk any more. almost is widely and rightly accepted and celebrated here . accepted and celebrated here. conversion therapy is now defined . lgbtq+ charity defined. lgbtq+ charity stonewall as 80 form of treatment or psychotherapy which aims to change a person's sexual orientation or to suppress a person's gender. so anything that affirm someone's gender identity and help them transition is conversion therapy. if you're nine year old, son turns to you and says
2:07 am
the trans and you ignore it instead of booking an appointment to prescribe puberty, blockers and surgery committing a crime in scotland . committing a crime in scotland. this is hugely problematic as well as criminalising churches and sensible parenting. it's also clinical care infringes on the rights of clinician to treat people appropriately . a people appropriately. a clinically correct diagnosis could be a crime . under this could be a crime. under this bill, gender dysphoria the feeling of not fitting with biological sex is known as being a teenager is listed as a mental illness. but if a psychiatrist says this , they could be says this, they could be committing a crime detransition or such as keira bell and richie heron felt they were railroaded into care , medical and surgical into care, medical and surgical sterilisation are just some examples of the error reversible tragedy that can unfold from a headlong rush into transitioning. we can't that affirming someone's gender identity and putting them on pathway to irreversible surgery and sterilisation is always the
2:08 am
best outcome for that person. still learning about gender identity. the science is still coming in and the debate is far from settled. there's been a radical increase in referrals to gender clinics . maybe thousands gender clinics. maybe thousands of kids are now trans, or maybe social is driving a teenage trend or a social contagion. when i at school mullets and double denim were the social craze, the social contagion of the day. but you grow a mullet out, you can't grow a surgically removed penis , no matter how removed penis, no matter how hard you blow in your thumb. good parenting isn't affirmation. when i was nine, i desperately wanted to be a teenage mutant ninja turtle . and teenage mutant ninja turtle. and looking back, perhaps there was some in me not having a turtle shell removable grafted to my back and scotland. nine year olds are being prescribed puberty blockers which which put them on a pathway to sterilisation and surgical procedures which can't ever be reversed . legal expert and reversed. legal expert and king's counsel, aidan o'neill has raised alarm at this proposal by the snp and the

scottish greens. he says that the report advocates a new criminal offence that does not require any proof or intention of harm. it will be illegal to see the wrong thing , even if see the wrong thing, even if it's totally harmless. there's no need for any criminal intent in order to be found guilty . in order to be found guilty. simply stating an opinion with no intent to harm anybody and no actual harm happening to anybody will be criminalised by this proposed law, by snp. this goes against legal statute and precedent of putin's russia. it also breaches the european convention on human rights and the uk's human rights act. and it will be difficult to avoid breaking the law. gender fluid people who change their gender identity to on a whim present a minefield . you refer to them minefield. you refer to them using the gender they identified as lunge time. you're committing as lunge time. you're committing a crime. if your granny says the code says that sam smith is as a as a bloke in a bikini. she's also committing a crime because . he's not. he's a beautiful woman. it's also likely to

backfire on the very activists who are calling for. backfire on the very activists who are calling for . when gender who are calling for. when gender ideologues convince teens that they're trans, could that be seen as changing their sexual orientation and their gender identity? it's not the first time the snp have bludgeoned terrible, draconian , unworkable terrible, draconian, unworkable laws into life. the name person scheme made each child in scotland the responsibility of the state rather than the responsibility of their parents. allowing the state to snoop on parents and breaching human rights. it was scrapped. their offensive at football criminalise football songs and was also repealed . let's hope was also repealed. let's hope the snp's new vaguely defined oppressive laws around conversion therapy go the same way anyway. let's see what the director of the free speech union young thinks on this issue . hi toby, how are you? i'm good. how are you? i'm good, thanks. thanks for joining good. how are you? i'm good, thanks. thanks forjoining us. what you make of this this proposal ? well, it's a pretty proposal? well, it's a pretty draconian. there's a similar not
2:11 am
quite , but similar proposal quite, but similar proposal before the british, which is being considered by the current government, but if it's based on this one, then i think we have a great deal to worry about . let's great deal to worry about. let's go through what's about this proposal ? it's not yet a bill. proposal? it's not yet a bill. it's just series of recommendations by. a committee that was appointed by the scottish government and. one thing it recommends is that all forms of conversion therapy directed gay people should be criminalised. and by that they don't just mean, you know , don't just mean, you know, sending a gay child to a kind of re—education camp. i don't think anyone would have any problem with criminalising that kind of press ganging of gay people into becoming straight . but that's becoming straight. but that's not what we're talking about here or at. it's not what? not what? not just what we're talking the model that talking about the model that this particular committee has recommended scotland is recommended scotland follow is the model followed in the state of victoria , in australia and in
2:12 am
of victoria, in australia and in the state of victoria. it's a criminal offence to suppress homosexuality and that includes christians, hindus muslims saying that they think homophobic charity is a sin, merely that you think that morally wrong to engage homosexual acts is a criminal offence in the state of victoria . in addition, in the state of victoria . it encompasses not victoria. it encompasses not just the conversion of gay to straight, but also people as you said in your introduction, suffering from gender dysphoria to children who are identifying as non—binary or trends in the state of victoria. if a child wants to have puberty blockers , wants to have puberty blockers, a child as young as 14, if a parent says , i don't give you my parent says, i don't give you my consent, that too is a criminal offence . under the conversion offence. under the conversion therapy ban, the state of victoria in australia . so it victoria in australia. so it looks as though that's what this this committee is recommending should be included in a bill in scotland . and that that's that, scotland. and that that's that, that, that just roughshod over
2:13 am
speech in scotland . and in speech in scotland. and in addition it seems to be beyond the competence of scottish parliament. this isn't the kind of thing the scottish parliament was empowered to legislate against the scotland act 1998. so there'll be a kind of constitutional crisis if the scottish government does try and bnng scottish government does try and bring forward a bill along these lines. yeah, because westminster i think is announced that westminster will try and block the agenda reform bill that was passed in the scottish parliament. so they do the same with this, with this bill. well it's yet a bill and we can only speculate about what's likely to be in it and which of the recommendations this committee has made will be followed . the has made will be followed. the scottish government. but judging from the content of , the gender from the content of, the gender recognition reform bill, it's likely that they'll follow of the recommendations and that mean essentially making it illegal to refer a child who
2:14 am
presents with gender dysphoria. and let's not forget that is still defined in medical textbooks. even the most up date medical textbooks as a mental disorder. it'll nonetheless be a criminal offence if this bill, if it takes the shape we think it'll take, it'll be a criminal offence to refer a child who presents with gender dysphoria to a psychotherapist. so if you anything other than affirm the self—diagnosis of child, it tells you they think they were born in the wrong body and they to start taking puberty blockers and embark on an irreversible medical pathway . then you could medical pathway. then you could be you could be jailed. so that just seems completely nuts . and just seems completely nuts. and the definitions seem so vaguely defined in the in the recommendations that have been made. i mean, it seems seems realistic that the trans themselves, the gender ideal ideologists who are , you know, ideologists who are, you know, coercing or railroading children
2:15 am
and people such as such as keira bell into into transitioning the they could also be seen as guilty of conversion therapy because . i mean there's some because. i mean there's some some criticism of gender ideology that it's a reason. it's a reason gay you know so you know gay gay teens express behaviour traditionally seen as from the other gender are now being transitioned to the other genden being transitioned to the other gender. yes i mean this is a point that people who've objected to banning conversion therapy have made which is that on a transition a child's self—diagnosis as having been born in the wrong body could be construed a form of conversion therapy . it's like saying to therapy. it's like saying to them, no , you're not gay , you them, no, you're not gay, you are just someone who's been born
2:16 am
in the wrong body and you need to change your body so it aligns with your sexual orientation. and people who object to the ban on conversion therapy say that that in itself is a much more pernicious form of therapy, not least because it's then, you know, people in churches praying to try and persuade a member of that congregation not to be gay. yeah absolutely. absolutely. i mean, i think when we're dealing with the sterilising and surgical, irreversible surgical procedures on on teens and young adults, we should definitely tread carefully . toby, thanks so tread carefully. toby, thanks so much for joining tread carefully. toby, thanks so much forjoining us. so terrifying . but thanks for your terrifying. but thanks for your insight . terrifying. but thanks for your insight. coming up after the break, we've got spectator world staffer kara kennedy. she's going to give controversial take on a habit we've long been encouraged to give up at new year. encouraged to give up at new year . and later, we'll be year. and later, we'll be chatting to football legend matt le tissier about the world's best tennis players from the two

uses the people's channels latest channel the people. we asked you , what do you make of asked you, what do you make of the snp's proposed conversion therapy ban ? julien said therapy ban? julien said conversion meaning convincing kids that they're born in the right body . interesting they're right body. interesting they're from julien . stuart says what's from julien. stuart says what's involved in this conversion ? i involved in this conversion? i mean, that's the thing they're banning something or trying to banning something or trying to ban something based on support for banning something. it doesn't really happen any more. we don't have the horrific know electrocution type type , the
2:21 am
electrocution type type, the mediaeval things and also the pre the gay away camps that they have i think they still have in america i've never understood those pre the gay week if you get 200 gay teenage boys together a camp over scene you know some of those guys there's not going to be less homosexual reality going on at the camp anyway . charles he says always anyway. charles he says always good to see straight talking no nonsense big leo thanks charles. vincent says conversion a yes to a no he's referencing the indyref they are think which scotland's version of but instead of leaving the eu they'd be leaving britain anyway. can anybody name a single thing that's improved since that fateful day in july two thousand and seven, when smoking in pubuc and seven, when smoking in public places, indoors banned in england can be the case that the 2008 crash the rise of politics. george osborne's liverpool winning the league . covid
2:22 am
winning the league. covid lockdowns and the cost of living crisis can all be traced back to the health act 2006. probably but don't rule it out. not the negative effects on the old lungs that are 20 a day habit almost certainly has. spectator world staffer carter kennedy last week laid out in an article an ode to smoking all benefits of a life of breaks and brief encounters , those dingy corners, encounters, those dingy corners, the areas reserved for the fewer , fewer lambert and butler corner sewers of these islands. so cara, how was smoking your life and how could it help others ? oh, gosh, where do others? oh, gosh, where do i start. i mean, i thought this piece would be more controversial than it was currently. the anti—smoking currently. the anti —smoking doesn't currently. the anti—smoking doesn't read the spectator world, but yeah, smoking areas and i favourite place on earth you meet such interesting people like i laid out in the piece. i've had job offers , i've met i've had job offers, i've met boyfriends and lifelong . you
2:23 am
boyfriends and lifelong. you kind of weed out the morning joggers and people obsessed with how white their teeth are. and you meet the gritty , interesting you meet the gritty, interesting people in them . well, that's i people in them. well, that's i mean, you could say that about smoking. it is. but you could have you could have people you will go instead and extended your life by by 20 years. wouldn't you rather have a job from somebody in a yoga class , from somebody in a yoga class, somebody with yellow somebody with a yellow fingertips ? absolutely. no. i fingertips? absolutely. no. i think the best thing about smoking , the different people smoking, the different people that you meet and everybody is kind of looking for the little pleasures in life . i mean, our pleasures in life. i mean, our spectator stag party within a bar and dc that you can smoke inside and we absolutely all stunk . had to get all of our stunk. had to get all of our clothes dry , but we had one of clothes dry, but we had one of the best nights of our lives and we met the most interesting people there. well, yeah, it's interesting you mention the smell because i'm a former smoker i used to smoke probably about 20 a day, but cigarettes
2:24 am
were affordable. i remember saying regal get to 2.50 saying to when regal get to 2.50 or a packet, i'm quitting. and no, last time i looked at about £387 of packet. you've got to you're going to get of it to be able to afford to smoke days but but i was glad when the ban came through because you go out through because you know go out and i wouldn't come back absolutely honking of cigarette ash a like a slept in an ashtray mean do you do you really do you really want your hair and your clothes to smell like an ashtray ? well didn't really have this problem until 2022 for me. with the year of the cigarette, i decided it for my new year's resolution that i was going to smoke more . so yeah, it's been smoke more. so yeah, it's been a it's been a year of a lot of dry cleaning, a lot of shampoo in, but it's been like the best year of life. i'm, you know, i think as a more than smoke and it's of given in to the little in life and accepting that sometimes you need advice because life is hard
2:25 am
miserable sometimes so when you kind accept that, yeah, i'm going to do this and it's not so good for me, but who life goes happier and with you. would you ever consider vaping instead? because then you get the nicotine fix that you're craving but you don't get the horrible tar and all the carcinogens allegedly . i mean, there might allegedly. i mean, there might be bad stuff in vapes. i've got no idea. they're little robots, probably trying to take over. but would you consider vaping smell like bubble gum ? i do. smell like bubble gum? i do. i do vape sometimes, but i think vaping is probably just as bad. you know, i look at kids now very young and got an after school bash with multi—coloured vapes in their hand. and i wow how miserable i was hiding behind the boat shed lumber and battling fo r £1, behind the boat shed lumber and battling for £1 , £1 of pulp. and battling for £1, £1 of pulp. and they kind of missing out on all of these things that we all kind of these things that we all kind of did in our childhood that bnng of did in our childhood that bring us all together. think everybody did that as a kid right in school? yeah. i mean, yeah grew up i'm probably yeah but we grew up i'm probably significantly older than you but
2:26 am
yeah we i used to be able to buy cigarettes as a child from the sweet shop one a single cigarette in the bottom , the cigarette in the bottom, the packet and you'd get your cigarettes that way . i'm not cigarettes that way. i'm not sure i'd recommend it. i'm not sure i'd recommend it. i'm not sure in scotland. i'm not sure what age they recommend weaning children on to cigarettes or heroin for that matter . children on to cigarettes or heroin for that matter. i mean, you've mentioned there are other enjoyable vices that are that are bad for your life. and we've mentioned there's also there's also , you know, extreme sports . also, you know, extreme sports. would you ever consider would you ever consider illegal drugs . wel you ever consider illegal drugs. wel go out and do illegal drugs , go out and do illegal drugs, heroin. but this about freedom and agency and not being told what to do and when to it by respective governments, i mean, it's actually smoking is basically the government is basically the government is basically trying to phase it out other places like new zealand are already like on the front explosive of completely smoking
2:27 am
for people of a certain age. and i just think that's a terrible thing, whether it's smoking, any other kind of advice and disproportionately affects the working class because smoking kind of one of the only things that we haven't been priced out of in terms of vices. so yeah, what a miserable world it is when your government tells you what to put in your mouth and when the carer that kind of thing. don't you think that this shows exactly why we do? in fact, nanny because fact, a nanny state? because people to do people be trusted not to do stupid things that are damaging to their health for very little reward . i mean, isn't this just reward. i mean, isn't this just an example of why the an example of why we need the new zealand government and other authoritarian to authoritarian governments to come those lambert come in and smack those lambert butlers our mouths ? well, if butlers our mouths? well, if they're going to do that, then they've got to do it for the mcdonald's, the alcohol and all of the other things that can do as well. i feel like smoking goes disproportionately . hated goes disproportionately. hated by by the kind of nanny state.
2:28 am
and yeah, i think if you're to choose one, then you have to kind of choose them all. well, i think i think against this group disproportionately hated because it's very damaging for not enough reward. so it's not i mean, at least with alcohol, you a fun time anyway cara so much for joining us and telling why you love smoking those coughing nails . coming up next, we've got nails. coming up next, we've got the legend. that is matt le tissier look good. the southampton fans will be talking about the fairness or unfairness of like novak djokovic still being denied the opportunity to , compete in major sporting events due to his covid vaccinations status. after that, we've got celebrity psychologist dr. arthur cassidy. he's going to try and work out exactly what is going on in the head of the prince harry. plus the most important part of the you remember to send your views in to the team on gb views gb news dot uk don't go anywhere see in
2:32 am
novak djokovic, the world's great tennis player and appropriately named unversed icon of bodily autonomy, is set to miss the indian wells, masters and miami open after the american authorities extended the requirements . international the requirements. international visitors to be vaccinated until april, he said . if visitors to be vaccinated until april, he said. if i visitors to be vaccinated until april, he said . if i can't go, april, he said. if i can't go, i can't go . at a press conference can't go. at a press conference earlier today , he's not the earlier today, he's not the first sportsman to be missing out. a premier league players were left behind on pre—season us due to their reported vaccination status. here to discuss the madness is former england international and southampton legend matt tissier. hi how are you doing? thanks for our thanks for joining hi how are you doing? thanks for our thanks forjoining . can hi how are you doing? thanks for our thanks for joining . can the our thanks for joining. can the can the win today? anybody can can the win today? anybody can can the win today? anybody can
2:33 am
can the winners of these events really claim to be champions if they haven't competed against they haven't competed against the world? number one, novak djokovic . i think that's a the world? number one, novak djokovic. i think that's a very good point. i think the weather's a these tournament's they'll probably have an asterisk by their name. that's only right, because djokovic has been so good to have him in the field. is ridiculous, really, given what's going on in the rest the world. and we now know that these vaccines stop transmission . so it seems just transmission. so it seems just absolutely petty petty politics is what i would say is coming from the biden administration . from the biden administration. yeah, i'd agree with that. and, you know, normally i want to push on what somebody's saying, but not a totally i totally agree. and it seems a shame that somebody you know, one of the one of the things for surviving covid fit and healthy covid is to stay fit and healthy and nobody has stayed fitter , and nobody has stayed fitter, healthier djokovic , healthier than novak djokovic, whereas other people have got vaccinated and then, you know,
2:34 am
spent lockdown sitting next to the just exercising the the fridge just exercising the fridge door and their jaw getting fatter of instead of staying fit and healthy . so, staying fit and healthy. so, yeah, it seems it seems completely unfair that they're persecuting some of the some of the healthiest people. i mean, is this effectively a vaccine mandate ? how i guess it pretty mandate? how i guess it pretty much is to anybody who wants to go to the on holiday or for their job. go to the on holiday or for theirjob. i mean it's the just theirjob. i mean it's the just the mexico across the board they don't seem to be checking too many people down there so i'm sure he'd fine to do that . but i sure he'd fine to do that. but i mean, when you look at some of the rules that have been made dunng the rules that have been made during these these recent times, it does does make you question is it i mean you said, though, you know, if you're fit and healthy, got a better chance healthy, you got a better chance of yet what did we do of this. and yet what did we do when we got put into lockdown, closed all the gyms and kept
2:35 am
open, all the mcdonald's. what a brilliant solution to everything . honestly, the madness is just gone through the roof these last couple of days. yeah now we're seeing the long term effects of lockdown with not just the obesity and the sort of physical impact but also the mental impact but also the mental impact , impact but also the mental impact, particularly on children. we've seen development until slow . they've been until slow. they've been developing slower because they can't people's lips when they're speaking , they haven't been in speaking, they haven't been in school. we're seeing more depression, you know, particularly the young people, which seems unfair given that which seems so unfair given that young people and large weren't anywhere near as affected by covid as as all people. we seem to sacrifice the next generation young at the on the altar for old people. i mean do you think more sportsmen should stand up against vaccine mandates? would you like to see sort of solidarity in tennis with with other players refusing to play in america ? i think that would
2:36 am
in america? i think that would a wonderful gesture. however unfortunately, as we've seen over the last two or three years, the sportspeople all very few of them , i've got enough of few of them, i've got enough of a backbone to stand up for what's. right. and to stand behind their back djokovic should and say to you know of absolutely fair play to you know bodily autonomy you know you know what's good for you for your own body. you should never be coerced into taking a medical procedure, especially not experimental. what and he has every right to say no to that . every right to say no to that. and i'm sorry you feel you're trying to mandate vaccines and a vaccine has caused death , then? vaccine has caused death, then? i'm sorry. that's just not the world. i want to live it. and that goes against all sorts of points in your code. so i think it's disgusting . quite frankly. it's disgusting. quite frankly. yeah.i it's disgusting. quite frankly. yeah. i mean, obviously , we have yeah. i mean, obviously, we have seen some deaths from myocarditis and other other results from the from the
2:37 am
vaccine, but also covid actually leads to a higher risk of heart disease. so i mean, you can also say that the vaccine has saved a lot of people from from heart disease. i mean, it's i think it's is to easy on a few examples of athletes falling over and see oh this is this shows that the vaccine doesn't work but the figures show the figures show i'm not sure you trust all the figures, but the figures show covid actually figures show covid is actually more of a risk when it comes to heart disease. i mean, would you accept that? i i'm not sure what figures you've been saying, but let's just put this into perspective . normally over the perspective. normally over the course of a year , you get course of a year, you get between 29, 71 athletes having a heart on their field of play dunng heart on their field of play during a year. over the last two years, we've had over a thousand people of collapsed with heart attacks on the field. by now, thatis attacks on the field. by now, that is an incredible increase , that is an incredible increase, don't you think, and one that deserves some kind of just just

some authority . it just says, some authority. it just says, okay, look, we're going to we're going to after look into this. we're going to have to try to find out why has been this massive spike in young fit sportspeople , heart attacks on sportspeople, heart attacks on their field of play and the fact that they're not willing to do that they're not willing to do thatis that they're not willing to do that is quite frustrating and tells me that unfortunately they probably know what it is and they don't want everyone else to them. well, yeah, i think it does need investigation and. maybe, maybe they'll find a vaccine and to sudden death on playing fields but yeah we don't we don't know other more we just don't know if those if those deaths are due to due to the vaccine due to previous infection with covid or something that's the whole point. obviously the whole point is we don't so why not investigate ? and for them not to investigate? and for them not to be investigated tells me that there's something dodgy going on. otherwise what you what you're trying to hide, have an investigation and let's let's
2:39 am
see what is this ? there's no two see what is this? there's no two ways about it. the increase has been phenomenal. i watch so much sport and i noticed it two years ago with the videos that have been taking the field on investigating this is beyond . investigating this is beyond. human they cannot be they cannot have any humanity them whatsoever to not want to know what's on it's very frustrating . yeah yeah hopefully we will that investigation and get to the bottom of it and we might thanks so much for bringing some into that. and next up on the show, many revelations . prince show, many revelations. prince harry's book accidentally found itself on sale in. well, if tv psychologist dr. arthur cassidy on this one and after that, it's time to break the curse. keep sending those views in. don't touch that dial, as the great man would say. we'll be back a few . coming up on dan wootton few. coming up on dan wootton tonight with mark dolan as

gb news pahari. he's just a gb news pahari. he'sjust a spare gb news pahari. he's just a spare tool in the royal shed spanner next to whole. maybe for someone who just wants to be left alone . the just wants to be left alone. the press. he's adding an awful lot of fuel to the fire for all to see in his new tell all memoir, which has been acceded in italy, released in spain , sailing released in spain, sailing originally fo r £28, but is now originally for £28, but is now already available for half that
2:44 am
price. a very reasonable £14. and the book he's claiming all sorts of things like . william sorts of things like. william and kate made him dress up like a. no, stop it. he was just following orders. he exposed a brotherly fight . shock. horror, brotherly fight. shock. horror, which allegedly took place after a conversation where william called meghan difficult rude and abrasive. harry said, william grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace neck was busy dressed as jackie onassis and knocked me to the floor. oh, no , not your necklace, harry. no, not your necklace, harry. after revealing he's killed 25 people in afghanistan , it must people in afghanistan, it must be a little bit embarrassing that william managed to knock him to the floor. and after who did he call? not his wife. not mates, not the police, but his . mates, not the police, but his. has he gone totally hollywood? he's even gone to the extent of talking to mystic meg to connect to his mother, diana . harry to his mother, diana. harry seems to be seriously lost and is with a woman who is has grown her little finger. no. a man who might know what's going on up
2:45 am
there. celebrity psychologist dr. arthur cassidy. hi, arthur , dr. arthur cassidy. hi, arthur, for joining us. hello, mark. forjoining us. hello, mark. it's a look, i do. and so yeah. it's a look, i do. and so yeah. i mean, what do you think? what do you think? you've been following this this whole saga. i mean, what do you think about harry's relationship with meghan? oh, we could say quite a lot about this, which wouldn't be correct, because she is a very, very different type of person that you would normally expect to find in the british royal family. first time she was an american actress and she is still an actress, still acting like a roles . still an actress, still acting like a roles. remember, she was a soap actress and she is bringing that forward in life because she inbuilt hard drives to be a celebrity , to be an to be a celebrity, to be an a—lister. but she never be. and the other problem we have had is that when how do you in love with meghan ? he knew that she with meghan? he knew that she was. i believe he really had the insight to understand her
2:46 am
political and political abilities, her political competence, the political attitudes. nor did she really find such high . she might find such high. she might readjust to life in the royal family with the constraints of royal protocol . right i see. and royal protocol. right i see. and do you think is his past traumas could impact his current relationship as well as the death of his mother. there's also fact that he's he's served in a zone. he's he's killed 25 men. and by his own admission and he was he was a gunner on, and he was he was a gunner on, an apache helicopter. so the review the footage, when they get back to base and, actually see the people being immolated in front of them. i mean, do you think that could could have had an effect on his on his and possibly changed them? it definitely be low. yes definitely would be low. yes what normally happens is the resentment see is imbued resentment we see here is imbued with previous trauma, betrayal , with previous trauma, betrayal, you know, the fact that his his own personal identity had been under threat as many soldiers are, who have served in the
2:47 am
traumatic and on top that he had to cope as well . this piece, to cope as well. this piece, william also had to cope with the tragic death . their mother, the tragic death. their mother, princess diana . and this would princess diana. and this would have left a huge void . and but have left a huge void. and but both princes have been dealing with this grief for so many years in a different way. prince william has privatised this , but william has privatised this, but he's coping. he's been able maintain dignity. confirmed royal protocol , a tight charging royal protocol, a tight charging humanitarian work. is he and princess catherine, they are both charismatic. they've got this chemistry together. they can seen to be conforming and enjoying royal life. no reason why prince harry and meghan couldn't be adjusted . however, couldn't be adjusted. however, you're dealing with an alpha female here. i wonder who is absolutely chronically obsessed with celebrity status and that can be quite an unhealthy thing . you either run a legitimate and you spend many years climbing stories hierarchy to this hollywood status . you
2:48 am
this hollywood status. you don't. and the problem that meghan did have , even at a human meghan did have, even at a human level, is one of assimilation of her cultural identity to be assimilated , a buddhist assimilated, a buddhist heritage, which she feels understand. but had she been given enough time . she could given enough time. she could have learned to look after the queen. did go out of her way to make meghan really welcome into the royal family prince william and catherine and many other senior royals, indeed his prince charles. he their charles, now the king. but another way to facilitate the marriage and also to preserve the their transition back into california . so it back into california. so it would be quite unfair him to just get the royal family any negative terms because . both of negative terms because. both of the princes really were very, very people. their targets for the personality traits are very different . but i have seen different. but i have seen a very subtle change in prince harry three or four or five months after they got married. he's not a very different guy from the mischievous fun loving young prince that i do . and do
2:49 am
young prince that i do. and do young prince that i do. and do you do you think that say you think do you think that say meghan's doing i mean, you mentioned think meghan's mentioned you think meghan's an alpha alpha and alpha and alpha female and obsessed with celebrity . but she obsessed with celebrity. but she wasn't i she she wasn't really i mean, she she wasn't really i mean, she she was think these suits she was on i think these suits she was on i think these suits she was on, which is great but it's not i mean she's she's no sort of sharon's if you know what i mean she she wasn't really in the upper echelons of hollywood do you think she saw being a princess as an opportunity to really, you know, become super famous? and this is this is our way of you know, generates in this is a way of becoming, you know, celebrity in that position . she does. yes. and there is this fact that she doesn't seem to have the introspective leo, you know, to be able to understand this is going to take quite some time for me to in the uk because an american many americans are living in the uk, you know and she she could have done but many other have done. spent time learning the ropes learning or when she was getting
2:50 am
the commonwealth to look after she and anthony. there was a missing opportunity for her to be very much involved with multiculturalism. but she didn't want to hurt her drive hurt pride drive for a very different. and i do think she revealed the truth of the matter to this friday when they were dating harry. i don't what for what to be a royal. i want you want the title but there's no way going to be a member of the royal i the money. royal family. i want the money. she's the way she's a businesswoman. the way with mind. there's with a business mind. there's nothing that nothing wrong with that necessarily. you cannot be necessarily. but you cannot be a business person and be a member of the royal family, it of. the british royal family, it doesn't . mean, you you doesn't sink. i mean, you you possibly you possibly could . but possibly you possibly could. but none of them seem to seem to it, apart from prince charles with his king charles now with this amazing eggs from cornwall. but do you think there's any way that harry can patch things up with and? william, after with charles and? william, after all the things he's said and, you everything we've you know, everything we've seen of and the book of the documentary and the book , he there has to be , i think he there has to be a truth here . there is there has
2:51 am
truth here. there is there has to be forgiveness. i'd be very blunt about this. now, has leo to be upset on the standing by prince harry and meghan of the hurt that they're have incurred amongst the royal family. they had done that deliberately . had done that deliberately. secondly we need harry to be more authentic of what? the truth of the matter , whether truth of the matter, whether that comes out in the book, i'm not sure. but i believe there's a lot that he not said publicly or otherwise . and i would love or otherwise. and i would love to to talk to prince to be able to talk to prince harry to find out the truth of the matter really for this going on because this of his on here, because this of his identity in more that i will not know by probably will and neither will you or i or else in the uk or around the because he is still privatising i think quite a lot in this little box upstairs . and so what he needs upstairs. and so what he needs to do is to reach out prince william, shake the hand of forgiveness. yes joy, i'm afraid i'm going to miss. i'm sorry. i'm going to miss. i'm sorry. i'm going to have to stop you because we've got to go to a
2:52 am
commercial break because, unfortunately, we are a business, a royal family. so we've got to sell stuff in the ad breaks. they we thanks. thanks so much for your insight on. fascinating stuff. the on. that fascinating stuff. the and time for breaking and now it's time for breaking the curse. let's see what have to see. lucy says, who would you recommend us to watch in relation to these today's controversial of comedians for real laughs excluding yourself. well, i'd probably include myself. you should definitely watch me come to one of my shows, watch my youtube. but there are there are some amazing out there, jenny side to it. so you can see live absolutely phenomenal. one of the comedians who has been cancelled and probably bill probably will be again and bill burr comedian, burr, american comedian, obviously phenomenal. and if you want to people who sadly aren't with us anymore , there's patrice with us anymore, there's patrice o'neill one of my favourites. o'neill is one of my favourites. johnny says shirt. where's the suit from . the suit is actually suit from. the suit is actually from. i think it's from westfield mall in london . the westfield mall in london. the ted baker. i bought it the day before i got married because was
2:53 am
really struggling to find a suit and i magically found one that fit me and had to buy or get married in a shirt. jim says , married in a shirt. jim says, did you support england or france in the world cup? well, i'm just glad i'm just glad scotland decided to boycott the world cup for humanitarian . so world cup for humanitarian. so that's my answer. i know my parents are english. i don't think i could ever bring myself to support the english football team, though. i'm really sorry. really sorry. they just take the team they need too much. alison says rangers or celtic ? i mean, says rangers or celtic? i mean, when i went to school, i was punched in the face. a supporter and celtic never support neither of them . jenny beth cool name of them. jenny beth cool name says wishing mark will. yes, we, we all are. hopefully you'll have a of a sustained and quick and be back on air very soon. anyway, the wonderful. marc dolan is here for dan wootton this . what have you got for us this. what have you got for us tonight , this. what have you got for us tonight, mark? well, we all get tonight, mark? well, we all get to that, right? royal rumble the

2:55 am

2:56 am
several degrees above freezing. and for many of us, it'll be a sunny friday morning. still plenty of showers across. northern scotland, easing northern scotland, but easing from cloud from southern a bit of cloud will move wales and western of england with a few showers possible here and maybe some showers just across the far southeast. but for a dry in a bright temperatures down on today's but still fairly mild for the time of year on friday evening we'll see a few more showers initially the southwest but then look at this a line of rain and strengthening winds pushing that across most places as we start the weekend some pretty wet conditions then to begin across the bulk of england wales and southern scotland. that rain will be moving out into the north, see drier conditions for a time following into the west on saturday morning. but then the showers get on saturday afternoon . the get on saturday afternoon. the showers will be zipping along on fairly gusty wind. it'll be a mild day on saturday. but these temperatures early on, ten, 11, 12 celsius as the rain temperatures will actually start to drop little bit, still fairly
