andrew pierce. >> so we are we're waiting for the prime minister to speak at this major summit today, which is happening at the guildhall. at the moment it's jonathan reynolds, who's the business secretary, who's not quite as nasal as the prime minister, but matthew, how this is all about showcasing, trying to get them on the first back on the front foot after a pretty rocky 100 days. i'm always sceptical about these summits. do they ever really generate real new jobs? real new investment, or is it all tied up long before we should probably tell you who was in the studio with us? >> sorry. so sorry. former labour adviser matthew torbay is here and author and broadcaster emma woolf. we're so keen to get started with you both. forgive me matt, i would on the side of scepticism. >> yeah, i think it's supposed to look good and sound good to the public. we've got money coming in and how many of those jobs we will see at the end of this will, will remain to be seen over five years, but i think it's good soundbites in a time that the labour party need them. at the moment, the labour government after the first 100 days been panned sort of widely. i think. i think hopefully it will be. it'll be a good summit and there'll be some good news
