the old fashioned expression of collateral damage hasn't really come up much in this war, but there has been an awful lot, given the firepower that israel particularly has been using from aerial bombardment as well as artillery. and indeed, there have been deaths in lebanon again, reported overnight. this is a bad development because it's showing how relations really are breaking down between the netanyahu government and the un. netanyahu has said that they're going to go on. and the situation in northern gaza , situation in northern gaza, putting it bluntly, is just dire . putting it bluntly, is just dire. we perhaps can go into detail what the plan is, and it's a pretty awful one. >> yes. robert , what is the >> yes. robert, what is the objective here for israel? where does this end? how limited an incursion is this? >> well, it doesn't , because the >> well, it doesn't, because the problem is that netanyahu swore that they would fight to

remember hamas after the october 7 atrocities. terrible atrocities of last year would almost take as long as it took. but nobody believed that they would be where they are today. with israel's war and the plight of the of the palestinian civilians being far from over. now, the problem of the gaza plan is this it seems to be put together by a group of generals. therefore it's known as the generals plan, which has broad consensus inside israel itself, which is that they are just going to empty the northern quarter to a third of the gaza strip of people altogether. now people are in camps there, and they're finding it very hard to get out because they don't have transportation. they go out on foot pushing bicycles. as you've seen , and they've been shot at seen, and they've been shot at en route and the israel army has said, oh, we don't know where
