headlines with lewis mckenzie. >> thank you very much, martin. good afternoon . it's just after good afternoon. it's just after 5:30 i'm lewis mckenzie here in the gb newsroom. well as you've just been hearing the prime minister and the health secretary have said new weight loss jabs could help boost the economy in britain by getting people back to work. wes streeting suggested the latest general generation of medicines could be life changing for individuals and would ease pressure on the nhs, but experts are insisting that the drug is not a quick fix, nor is it a replacement for eating well and exercise, and should only be offered under medical supervision . a court has been supervision. a court has been told that a neighbour heard a single, high pitched scream of someone in pain, two days before sarah sharif was killed. the ten year old was beaten with objects , year old was beaten with objects, burnt with an iron and bitten.

channel, britain's news channel. >> welcome back. it's approaching 538 on martin daubney here on gb news now with just over two weeks to go until rachel reeves delivers that hugely anticipated and perhaps feared autumn budget. many small businesses in the uk will be waiting to find out what it means precisely for them and our nonh means precisely for them and our north west england reporter sophie reaper, sat down with one small business owner to find out how they're feeling ahead of the budget. will it be hard cheese .7 budget. will it be hard cheese? >> good morning. morning. >> good morning. morning. >> a bright lancashire morning and lauren mcguire is open for business. she owns a small cheese delicatessen on a bustling high street . and things bustling high street. and things are going well. but looking ahead to the budget come the end of this month, lauren says there's a lot for her to think about. >> we've got staff wages, we've got stock we've to pay for fuel , got stock we've to pay for fuel, the rent, the bills. you know, gas and electric keeps going sky

high. so there's a lot of factors that, you know, we need to take into consideration. we have to then start thinking about putting our prices up, which is something that i don't really want to do. but again, we still need to be able to make enough money to keep the business going. >> as part of their manifesto , >> as part of their manifesto, labour promised to outline a so—called business roadmap in their autumn budget. they say it will encourage investment and give businesses the confidence to grow. but after four years of owning her own, lauren is sceptical. >> i feel like they always say that just to get them on your side and then they don't follow through. people want to contribute, as in like open up their own business, but there's so many obstacles that they need to overcome and i just feel like the government sometimes doesn't help for small business owners up and down the country, this is a time of uncertainty as costs increase and disposable income continues to fall, many will look to labour to help them through this tricky time in
