unbridled naked capitalism, the likes of which we've never seen in america. all fuelled by drill, baby, drill, low in america. all fuelled by drill, baby, drill , low tax, low drill, baby, drill, low tax, low regulation, potential tariffs on people who don't agree. that could include britain. high tax, high regulation. obsession with net zero tied to brussels. what do you make of the potential prospects of a uk, us trade deal? is that best for britain, or could it all be blown by their naked contempt for trump? and perhaps brussels getting involved? >> well, it does definitely feel like we've hit a bit of a bump in the road for the special relationship. as you say, donald trump's economic plan. i mean, it's a relatively blunt tool. it will probably work at making america richer. at least the markets seem to think so. the dollar soared when donald trump was elected. there's going to be rampant capitalism, as you say. drill, baby drill. there's also going to be quite a lot of protectionism . we've seen that protectionism. we've seen that before from donald trump. and we will certainly see it again. there will be high tariffs on

countries that america doesn't much like, probably quite a lot of high tariffs on lots and lots of high tariffs on lots and lots of countries, because donald trump wants to bring far more manufacturing , etc. in house. manufacturing, etc. in house. and you can see why there probably will be a big uptick for america. what effect will that have on britain? well, it could be quite tricky . for a could be quite tricky. for a start, it might it might just be that lots and lots of countries struggle to have a good economic relationship with donald trump in this presidency, because he's much, much less globalist than his predecessor , much, much more his predecessor, much, much more protectionist. also, of course, there's the awkward relationship between the starmer administration and the trump administration and the trump administration during the election campaign. starmer actually, sorry , trump actually actually, sorry, trump actually reported starmer's government to the fda because 100 labour activists were sent over to the us to campaign for kamala harris. quite amusingly , kamala harris. quite amusingly, kamala lost in all of the places where those labour activists they probably helped campaigned. they probably helped campaigned. they probably might well have believed that probab
