man died and another was critically injured during a shooting in birmingham. police were called to edgbaston at around 11:00 last night. one man in his 20s was found in a car but was pronounced dead at the scene. another man in his 30s was found injured at a bus stop and was then taken for treatment at west hospital. west midlands police now say a man in his 30s has been arrested and remains in custody . the king attended the custody. the king attended the annual royal variety performance last night alone, although he was forced to go alone after the queen had been had to miss it due to her health. king charles accepted flowers on the queen's behalf as she had to pull out last minute following a recent chest infection. a royal source says queen camilla was naturally disappointed at having to miss the event . more royal news the the event. more royal news the princess of wales has invited the child survivors of the southport attack to her annual christmas concert. it comes after the princess made a surprise visit with her husband, william, to meet the bereaved

the morning were terrible high snow, wind, rain, all driving in, bringing down trees, bringing down power lines , flooding the down power lines, flooding the roads. but what we did see was a lot of manholes and gratings covered by leaves that were blown off the autumn trees down in and of course, blocking those trees up. and behind me you can see the fire service of northern ireland trying to pump out houses here. 25 houses in this area have been absolutely waterlogged and flooded. and joining me now is hannah mccann. hannah, unfortunately, you were one of those that were affected by this. tell us what happened. it was about 8:00 this morning. >> i could feel i could hear, like, running water, like rushing water. >> so i went to check it out, and we realised that the bottom two stairs of our house was completely underwater. so basically everything sort of above ankle height, sort of anything under ankle height, it's just gone. >> essentially. >> essentially. >> so all of our living room, kitchen, everything is just underwater now. >> and i mean that's that's huge. out of that house fo
