travel chaos. the storm, which saw a rare red warning on saturday, brought the highest wind of up to 93 miles an hour and left 250,000 homes without electricity. flooding, though, is now a major concern, with over 200 warnings and alerts issued across england, wales and scotland. train travel and roads are also heavily disrupted, with speed restrictions and closures including on the severn bridge. the uk has welcomed the apparent collapse of bashar assad's regime in syria after rebels seized damascus, forcing him to flee. the deputy prime minister, angela rayner, says the focus must now be on stability and a un led political resolution warning of potential regional fallout in the middle east. the foreign office has been evacuating british nationals ahead of the offensive, though the exact number of those evacuated remains unclear at this stage. here, the liberal democrats leader, sir ed davey, is calling for the uk to work with allies to make sure assad faces justice for his crimes. he says the conflict's end must
