website. but look, i've been doing this show since the beginning of the channel now and ihave beginning of the channel now and i have lost count. i've got to say, of how many reports we've had to do of children that have been abused and ultimately killed by people, the very people that are supposed to protect these children, their families, their loved ones, each and every time it happens. it sickens me to my core, and i know it deeply upsets many of you at home as well. there's been a case that's been in the news for quite some time now. the little girl, sarah sharif, we haven't been able to comment on it because it was an ongoing legal situation. but of course, today there's been guilty verdicts returned in that case yet again, the family members found guilty of her murder. the things that this little girl has gone through, i'm deliberately not going to mention it, ladies and gents, because i probably can't even do it without crying. anyone that's got a heart. you don't need to be a parent to have your heart broken by these stories. it is the most

barbaric, inhumane, almost subhuman behaviour that these adults have committed and performed to this innocent little girl. and it's gone on for such a period of time. but yet again, ladies and gents, what do we discover? we discover that sarah sharif had come to the attention of social services, actually, from the point of birth, there was a plan in place for her. and when you look at all the goings on here, it just goes on. she was, as i said, child protection plan at birth. she was. there's been allegations of abuse for both of her parents. she was taken into foster care at the school, at one point made a referral to social services, raising concerns about bruising. that case was closed six days later. the little girl was taken out of school, she was made to cover up and so on and so forth. today, the national police chiefs council lead for child protection has said that there's not enough professional curiosity among social workers.
