to hospital following the crash in smethwick, near birmingham, just before 11:00 last night. but despite the efforts of medical teams, the child died. a 29 year old woman and a 30 year old man remain in a serious condition. another man and a woman, both aged 30, are stable. an urgent hunt is now underway for the driver after the vehicle smashed into another car. police are calling on the driver to make the right decision and hand themselves in. elsewhere, an urgent manhunt is underway for those responsible for a triple shooting in north—west london last night. a woman in her 40s was shot and killed while two men, both in their 30s, were injured, one critically. residents in brent say they heard five gunshots in quick succession. police have cordoned off the area with a number of officers at the scene. detectives are now working to track down those behind the attack, and are urging anyone with information to come forward. elsewhere, a tribunal has ruled that an alleged chinese spy linked to the duke of york and two former prime
