known as an islamic extremist. sir keir starmer has called the attack horrific and expressed solidarity with germany, while the foreign secretary, david lammy, has also offered support to his counterpart. the tragedy comes just eight years after a similar attack in berlin, where 13 people were killed. time is running out for pensioners here to claim pension credit and secure their winter fuel payment for this year at 2024 to 25, with the deadline now just hours away. online applications close at 11:59 pm. and phone lines will be open until 3:00 this afternoon for any last minute calls. around 760,000 pensioners could miss out, with the benefit topping up weekly incomes and unlocking extra support. well, the change announced by chancellor rachel reeves means that winter fuel payments now go to only those on means tested benefits, slashing recipients from 11.5 million to just 1.5 million pensioners. scrap staff

parking charges. that is the call from unions today, as new research has revealed that 1 in 4 nhs trusts in england have raised fees for patients, staff or both in the last two years. patients charities say the charges are unfairly penalising unwell people, while nhs leaders argue financial pressures leave trusts little choice but to charge the rises, often targeting city centre hospitals have seen earners pay more, while nhs staff collectively spent over £70 million on parking last year alone. unions say health workers are on their knees and need extra support, not extra costs, as they face the strain of chronic understaffing. the prince and princess of wales are funding a new program to tackle mental health challenges in rural communities in norfolk, partnering with norfolk and waveney mind. the two year pilot will provide counselling and targeted support for the 1500 residents around the sandringham estate, set to launch in 2025. the initiative will include

and his motive? >> yeah, yeah. the attacker has been named in german media as taleb a. abdul rozen, we believe, or abdul mohsen. in germany, under german privacy laws, then never normally pubush laws, then never normally publish the full surname. but just the first letter. but we understand. his full name is abdul mohsen. he is a 50 year old, originally from saudi arabia, who arrived in germany in 2006 and claimed asylum, having fled saudi arabia wanted by the saudi authorities over allegations of rape and other criminal offences. however, the german authorities granted him refugee status in 2016 on human rights grounds and during that

time that he has been in germany, he has been working in a hospital, a hospital just 26 miles from the scene of this attack at that christmas market. and we're told that as far as german authorities are concerned, they are absolutely treating concerned,
