resignation came just hours after a criminal case was filed against her, accusing her of acquiring land illegally with her aunt, the ex—prime minister of bangladesh. the labour mp is also under investigation here in the uk over allegations involving properties linked to her aunt's allies. well, it's the second resignation in just six months, piling pressure on sir keir starmer's leadership. and rachel reeves has been grilled in parliament this afternoon after her china trip sparked political outrage. she defended her visit, highlighting agreements reached with the world's second largest economic power, china, to make working people off by making britain better off. >> that is the mandate that this government had, has and this is what we will deliver. >> despite calls for her sacking, the prime minister, sir keir starmer, insists rachel reeves will remain as chancellor until the next election. but shadow chancellor mel stride slammed reeves for leaving financial turmoil here in the uk

and called it a crisis made in downing street. >> to go or not to go, that is now a question . the prime now a question. the prime minister will be damned if he does, but he will surely be damned if he does not. the british people deserve better. chancellor of the exchequer. >> in other news, detectives investigating the murder of 14 year old kellen bokassa in woolwich last tuesday say they want to speak to two teenagers. police have now named 15 year old collin seb gorka and 16 year old collin seb gorka and 16 year old massawa zazi, urging anyone who may know their whereabouts to call 999 immediately. kenyan was fatally stabbed on a bus near woolwich church street in london and sadly died at the scene. despite efforts from paramedics and air ambulance services. detectives say they're now following multiple leads and have ramped up patrols and weapons searches in the area.

post actually on twitter and instagram. she said she wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to the royal marsden for looking after her. let me cross live to our royal editor cameron walker for a full update on that. good evening to you, cameron. >> good evening michelle. well, i remember sat with you in that studio back in march where we were having to tell you gb news viewers that the news that the princess had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy. and what a turn of events just nine months later here in january, it's incredibly good news because the princess of wales has confirmed that she is in remission. she is looking forward to the year ahead and very much and has a lot to look forward to. she describes it as a fulfilling year ahead, suggesting to me that she is planning to carry out a lot more engagements than she did last yeah engagements than she did last year. but all of this was sparked by a visit to the royal marsden hospital behind me earlier on today. this was the

hospital. it's been confirmed today that the princess secretly carried out or underwent even her preventative chemotherapy. and she remarks walking through the front door here, michelle. but it was nice to actually walk through the front entrance because for the few months that she was undergoing chemotherapy, she was undergoing chemotherapy, she was undergoing chemotherapy, she was having to secretly go around the back and of course, be in a private room. but she spent a lot of time talking to a number of patients here, hearing their stories, and of course, thanking members of staff who were looking after her during that treatment. and it has also been announced today that she has become joint patron of the royal marsden hospital alongside prince william. she said in her statement this evening that she looks forward to supporting that hospital. a world leader in cancer research alongside her husband prince william. and of course the royal marsden, is a hospital with a historic royal link. it was diana, princess of wales who was first the royal patron of this hospital, followed by prince william. and now, 1499 00:08:55
