tomorrow's top stories with three top comedians. we have pretty much two stories on the front pages. we're going to start looking at the first of them right now the guardian. trump i was saved by god to make america great again. the i unleashed and the star. so god help us. so three very different opinions of one of the big news stories of the day. simon, let's kick off with what the guardian i'm sure they're really happy that trump is back in power. >> it's interesting you say there's three different opinions there, josh, because i think actually these three i mean, there's a slightly different tone, but they're all very much left leaning views, or at least they're very they're very disrespectful of obviously the guardian. yeah. the star to dispense with them quickly go with orange man baby sworn in as the 47th president, which is interesting given the sort of generally juvenile tone of the star generally, that this is obviously the one person against

whom they feel that they can they can elevate their own status to perhaps sort of early adolescent or something. but the guardian, i mean, i'm quite intrigued by this trump. i was saved by god to make america great again. he is obviously highlighting that incident where he was a beat half a second away from being assassinated, his blood all over the platform. still, i think the most extraordinary moment of the last 12 months of the entire campaign, i still don't think we have quite absorbed the, you know, the all of the potential to have been so different. yeah, it's and the, the degree to which the secret service and so on led him down at that moment. so although obviously they're presenting him there, i think it's fair to say as an extraordinarily deluded autodidact, he's claiming that he has some sort of manifest destiny from, you know, god has stamped his passport for the next four years, and on he goes. ihave next four years, and on he goes. i have a feeling that that's how i have a feeling that that's how i would react if i'd been that close to death. and also, to be
2:08 am
fair, it is basically the underpinning premise on which america is built. >> i mean, lewis, you have a direct personal friendship with god. >> well, i do. the reason i'm here is because of god. we can say everything that we do is because of god. so what he said to most people listening in america right now on screen. >> yeah, we got there. there it is. does that make you miss america, seeing all that sort of pomp and drums? >> and i can't even work out what we're looking at there. oh, these are sort of hats or something. are they? >> yeah. this is these are the band, the big bands. >> an extraordinarily confusing image. >> yeah, yeah, i see that all the time. on on west 14th on east 14th street. now, if it's not there, that's not what america is. you never see a soldier dressed up. and i grew up in a town. the town that i grew up in was like a military town almost. it had the merchant marine academy in the area that i was in, so i saw it. the truth is that trump is going to bother people because people in this country who control things, including the bbc, including the starmer and including to the tories and maybe even, maybe
2:09 am
even reform there they are against donald trump. >> they are against donald trump. you think nigel farage is surely this is his, yes. this great access to have sort of direct access to the it is what does he stand for? >> what donald trump says. what does he stand for that. >> well, he's triangulated by elon musk. he's obviously causing some sort of problems for him at the moment. and musk is clearly quite powerful, even more powerful, in fact, than he was a couple of weeks ago, because it looks as if vivek ramaswamy, with whom musk was going to be sharing responsibilities at the top of the doj, has been let go. probably, it seems, the speculation, after some misguided tweets or whatever they're called under ex posts complaining about the h—1b visa scandal. and so that's quite interesting. things are developing at a very fast pace. we'll look a bit later, i think at some of the executive orders he's already signed. >> well actually let's look at it right now. let's go. lewis, go to the ai paper please. unleashed. this is some of what
2:10 am
we can expect to changing the people's lives. >> well, i think what's amazing about it is, is how melania stuck with donald trump and donald trump. i mean, there was a point, maybe about 3 or 4 years ago that people hated. i think melania was not that into donald trump. >> and it was it was said, wasn't it, that the contract had expired, that she was supposed to stay with him until he wasn't elected, and then that was that. >> yeah. and she thought, well, the guy's not going to get re—elected. but donald trump, he thought to himself, you know, i don't have much going for me. i'm an 80. i'm 78 year old guy. i'm an 80. i'm 78 year old guy. i'm not quite as rocky as you know what this whole thing about him coming back into power, it might have just been a way. >> it's 1515 00:10:
