president donald trump has warned that the european union could face tariffs next. >> the european union charges us 20% plus plus plus a vat tax called a vat tax, very similar and it costs us an absolute fortune. we are treated so badly and we have a tremendous deficit with the european union. so we'll be doing something very substantial. >> a medical plane has crashed in a crowded philadelphia neighbourhood, killing all six people on board, including a young patient and her mother. the jet rescue air ambulance erupted into a fireball just 30s after takeoff, engulfing several homes in flames near roosevelt mall. an investigation is underway with officials from the national transportation safety board on the scene. it comes just days after a plane collided with a us army helicopter near washington, dc, killing 64 people on the plane and three on the helicopter. back in the uk

now, there have been five arrests during stop the isolation protests and the stand up isolation protests and the stand up to racism rally. thousands of tommy robinson supporters arrived in westminster today for their uniting the kingdom demonstration. people at the front of the march carried a banner reading free political prisoners and stop the isolation. the met police have deployed extra officers in london as opposing protests are set to clash. the met says officers are prepared to intervene swiftly if disorder breaks out. robinson is currently serving an 18 month prison sentence for breaching a high court injunction. richard tice says a reform uk mp won't be suspended, despite a past assault conviction for kicking his former girlfriend. he argues james murdoch is a shining example of someone who made a mistake but grew and succeeded. the conviction was not disclosed when murdoch was elected, but surfaced after court records

revealed he served 21 days in a young offender institution. tice insists reforms vetting process has improved despite past failures, calling it better and better. in other news, a second body has been found near the river dee in the search for two missing sisters in aberdeen, eliza and henrietta hastie, both 32, were last seen near victoria bridge on the 7th of january. the first body was recovered from the river on friday morning, with the second found near the same location that evening. formal identification is yet to take place, but their family have been informed. the sisters, originally from hungary, had lived in scotland for ten years. police say there were no apparent suspicious circumstances and enquiries are ongoing and the alcohol duty freeze is over and consumers face a double tax hit. from today, duties on alcohol will rise by 3.6% in line with

different nations depending on how receptive they are to his demands? >> well, i. >> well, i. >> think the. >> think the. >> starting point for your discussion is, is that no one wins in a tariff war. no one, not the country that opposes the tariffs, not the country that receives them. whether we're talking mexico, china, canada, the eu, possibly even the uk. in terms of what has happened specifically here, it's important to separate myth from reality. the myth for these tariffs on mexico and canada in particular, is that they are to stop the flow of fentanyl from getting into the united states. this opioid, this drug, in fact, the total amount of fentanyl that went from canada in the us and was intercepted in 2024 was 19kg 1.9. so fentanyl is not a major problem there. and as regards mexico, the vast amount of fentanyl that comes into the us from mexico doesn't come in through undocumented immigrants.
