it's happened again today. this time a 15 year old stabbed to death. no, not in lawless london. everybody. this time in sheffield. i mean, what do we even say to this? some people suggesting it's time for metal detectors at the gates of all schools. is it really? also donald trump, he is talking very tough, isn't he, when it comes tough, isn't he, when it comes to his favourite word in the dictionary, tariffs. many people now saying that this is not going to end well. but what will it all mean for us here in the uk. and we've had partygate beergate and now you've got voice coach gates. yeah you heard that right. many people saying that the prime minister

years, hugely important to our collective defence. >> well, the prime minister mentioned donald trump. he has confirmed that the us will delay import tariffs on mexico for a month. and he's also hinted the uk may escape being subjected to similar sanctions. and trump stated the uk is out of line when it comes to trade, but suggests that a deal could be worked out after constructive conversations with the prime minister. trump announced 25% tariffs on canada and mexico yesterday and 10% on china, but he has since announced a temporary retrieve from mexico. after a very friendly conversation, his words with the mexican president, claudia sheinbaum. now, global markets slumped earlier following trump's announcement and his stated intention to impose tariffs on the eu. but as i mentioned, a hint that the uk may escape. a former british soldier has been jailed for up

friends and the whole school community. at 12:17 pm, emergency services were called to all saints catholic high school on granville road. the victim, a 15 year old boy, suffered serious injuries and despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, he sadly died ambulance service, he sadly died a short time later. the 15 year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in our custody at this time. >> when absolutely shocking stuff i've got to say as well. that's the second time in the week pretty much that that same school has had to go into lockdown. this also comes today as we've got more horrific news. you've got a 14 year old girl and i do kind of labour that point because sometimes, you know, men and boys and all the rest of it. but when i hear girls now found guilty of stabbing, you've got 14 year old girl that's found guilty of

stabbing two teachers and a pupil. she has been found guilty of attempted murder, 14, 15 year old children. you know, so many lives are never going to be the same again. it's not just, of course, about the victims and their family. that is absolutely horrific for them. but of course, the families of these children that are now going to be locked up for a very, very long time, even when they are found guilty. some of the footage that you're seeing on your screen is surrounding that 14 year old girl incident. you've just seen her in the school hall. she's now in one of the reception foyer areas, and any minute now you'll see that it all kicks off outside in one of the playgrounds as well. barry gardiner i mean, what kind of country do we live in where you cannot even send your child, your grandchild to school without said school going into lockdown and one of them being murdered? >> yeah, it's absolutely appalling, michelle. and you're right, we have to just think of

what it means for all of those families, those families that have lost their children and those families who who never thought that their child could be a murderer. but, you know, i think we need to start teaching our children to be able to resolve their differences without violence. i mean, you know, rupert and i, we disagree right, on so many things, rupert. but we come here, we talk about it, we work it through occasionally. we even find that we agree on things that we wouldn't have suspected. and actually,
